CHAPTER 18

Amanda's POV

When I arrived in the office, Ares isn't there yet. I proceeded to my desk and took the art materials out para ipagpatuloy ang ginagawa ko kahapon. Wala namang ibang binilin sakin si Ares na dapat kong gawin aside from the task he told me yesterday.

The door opened and I thought it's him but it turns out that it's Camari.

"Good morning, Ms. Cheng. Mr. Reviello will not be around this morning. He will be attending several meetings so he would like you to continue what he had told you to do yesterday." she smiled.

"Okay. Thank you." I smiled back.

So he's not coming.

Like what he said, tinuloy ko na lang ang ginagawa ko. Binuksan ko na rin ang laptop ko para gawin ang designs ko digitally.

Hmmm...maybe I should make this one yellow instead of mustard.

It took me hours to finish at inabot uli ako ng lunch. Since I'm too lazy to go out of the building, I decided na magpadelivery na lang para makatipid din sa oras.

Thankfully, the food arrived in no time kaya di na rin ako nalipasan ng gutom. Now I just need to throw my trash outside.

San nga ba basurahan dito? Kung bakit ba naman kasi walang basurahan sa office ni Ares.

It took me a while to find where it is at nasa katabi lang pala ng elevator. Nang matapon ko na ang pinagkainan ko, I saw someone walked inside Ares' office.

Naglakad ako papasok and I saw a guy browsing some of Ares' paperworks. Napalingon sya sakin and that's when I realized that he's the brother of Ares.

"Oh hi!" bati nya sakin.

"Hey." I said and secretly watched what he's doing.

"I see. He really brought you not just into the company but also up into his office." he chuckled.

"Yeah." I responded. I'm not really good in having conversations with someone I barely know kaya nagiging tipid ang sagot ko.

"How's my brother doing? Pinapahirapan ka ba? Sabihin mo, bibigwasan ko. Hahahahaha!"

"It's the opposite." tumango naman sya at ngumiti.

"I expected that. I hope you don't mind him being overprotective."

"I can't see a reason why he need to be." I said. He looked at me and leaned on the table.

"Let's just say he values you, kaya sya ganon."

Pinagpatuloy nya ang paghahanap sa mga papeles habang ako naman ay dumiretso na sa upuan ko para ipagpatuloy ang ginagawa ko.

"Should I acknowledge you as our official designer na?" nakangiti nyang tanong habang nakatingin sa ginagawa ko.

"Ares told me this is just a practice and I'm still a student so I think no." I looked at him and I realized that he acts completely opposite to Ares. He likes to smile and seems jolly while his brother looks like he's bargaining all the problems in the world and rarely smiles.

"Oh I see. Anyway, I haven't formally introduced myself to you." he walked towards me and extended his hand. "Apollo Giovanni Reviello, Ares' younger brother and the COO of Solstice."

Nanlaki ang mata ko nang malaman kong COO pala sya.

UGH I REALLY NEED TO DO A BACKGROUND CHECK.

I immediately stood up and bowed my head in a polite manner.

"Sorry for the way I acted, I didn't know---" I was cut off when he laughed.
