Author's POV

"MUMMA?"

The intercom fell down from her hands and she started shivering hearing the shock, anxiety, confusion, pain and accusation in the tone. She stayed still not ready to turn and face him but she had too when Ruhika shouted seeing Rey,

"Rockstar, aayine na, ye hai hamari mumma. Mumma this is our rockstar."

Rey was still standing there with his one hand in Ruhi's gazing holes into Taani whose back was turned to him. Riddhima went to her mother and taking her hand pulled her to Rey making her stand in front of Rey facing him, but her eyes downcasted not able to look him in the eye. He was just gazing at her when his gaze first travelled to the girls.

And it didn't take him long enough to join all the dots, the relief and peace he felt while hugging the girls, how riddhima reminded him so much of Taani and Ruhika of himself. How Ruhika's and Riddhima's eyes were like him and Riddhima's smile was like Taani's and Ruhika was the Xerox copy of him. They were six years old and Taani left them seven years back. And last but not the least he felt like they were a part of him, and actually they were as they were born from him.

Oh my god! Ru...ruhika or riddhima meri daughters hai, Taani or meri beti. We conceived them when we made love after that Lohri party. I didn't use protection. That night Taani conceived them.

He looked at his daughters with tears in his eyes, the little girls along with Riya was confused with the defeaning silence. Rey had so much to say but then he noticed Riya so he said,

"Leave us alone."

Riya frowned at his tone, it cleared that he left no room for argument, Taani looked up and nodded at Riya, she left them alone when Rey looked at Taani with accused look, his eyes were blazing with anger, hatred, fury and most prominent hurt. Taani felt a tug at her hand, she looked at Riddhima,

"Kya hua mumma aap rockstar ko hi bhi nahi bologe."

Ruhika nodded tugging at Reys' hand,

"Haan rockstar mumma ko hi bolo."

Rey smiled at Ruhika, suddenly the little girl seemed like she held his whole world in her little fist and she was his most priceless possession. He nodded saying,

"I know your mumma princesses."

Ruhika and Riddhima smiled widely,

"That's great!"

Riddhima said holding Taani's pants when they all were still silent,

"Mumma bhook lagi hai."

Reys' gaze softened looking at Riddhima, his father's insticts kicked in and he pulled riddhima in his arms,

"Kya hua princess hungry hai." She bobbed her head up and down, Rey caressed her cheeks,

"What does angel wants to eat?"

Before riddhima could say ruhika jumped in,

"Noodles!"

Rey smiled widely, this was the first time his baby demanded something from him. He felt lying the world in their feets, noodles was just a speck of dust for him. He nodded saying,

"Today I'll feed you guy's the best noddles in all of Coorg. C'mon let's go."

The girls clapped jumping happily and squealed and Ruhika said,
