"Happy birthday, Z," Sirius smiled down at Azalea. Azalea groaned and rolled over, refusing to get up. Sirius frowned and shook her, doing his best to wake her up.

"Z," he complained, "Get up! It is your birthday, so we are going to skip classes and do something! Get up!" He placed his hands on her face and shook her head back and forth.

"Siri," Azalea complained, "It is to early! You could have waited until I actually woke up by myself!" She opened her eyes and looked up at Sirius. Sirius smiled and let his hands go back to his sides.

"But that isn't any fun! Now, go get dressed and come back here immediately! We have some fun things to do today!" Azalea groaned and nodded, getting up and walking to the door.

"Fine, but you better not take me outside. It is way to cold for that," she shivered at the thought. Sirius smiled and nodded, watching her leave the room.

"Happy birthday," he called out again. Azalea stopped in the middle of the hallway, glancing back at the door. She smiled and continued walking to her room.

"Prongs, get up! I can't take it anymore! Your stupid idea is making me go crazy," Sirius yelled at James. James opened his eyes and glanced at Sirius, laughing after a few moments.

"I knew you loved her," he snorted, "I will make a bet with you, okay? If you can make it until Christmas then I will stop bugging you about her, and I will throw in twenty galleons." Sirius looked at James, shocked.

"What? You expect me to stay away from her that long? That's a year away! I am not doing that just for twenty galleons!"

"Then how about thirty? Come on Padfoot, this will be better for the both of you. I know it will be."

"How is it going to be better? You are going to make everything worse! Prongs, don't make me do it," Sirius begged him. James sighed and shook his head. He was trying to get Sirius to understand.

"You may think that it's making things worse, but it's not. She is going to need time to get over what happened before. You made a big mistake when you decided to just play around with her like that."

"I know," Sirius murmured, "And I regret it a lot. I should not have played with her. I should have started a good relationship with her, but I can't change it now. We just have to move past that."

"I know. That is why I am trying to help you. You can change that. If you make it to Christmas I think she will be ready, but if you don't you are taking the chance of losing her. She needs time, mate."

"Okay," Sirius finally said, "I will make this bet with you. If I fail then I guess I might ruin everything, huh," Sirius asked, sighing. He didn't like the bet, but he knew it would be best.

"Yeah, but you might still ruin it afterwards too. Just be careful, okay? I don't want to see either of you separated. The whole world would crash if that happened."

"Shut up," Sirius said, eolling his eyes, "Don't tell Z about the bet. I don't want her to get mad or anything." James nodded, closing his eyes again. Azalea walked back in the room, her cloak wrapped around her.

"I am ready," she announced, "Now tell me, where exactly are we going? Maybe to the great hall to eat?"

"Nope," Sirius grinned, "You can eat your food later. For now, we are going to the shrieking shack. We can eat there." He took her hand and pulled her out of the door.

"Why the shrieking shack? Are we going to have a ghost party or something? Ghosts throw boring parties, you know? They just float around being ghosts and stuff." Sirius chuckled and shook his head.
