HIT.

I can't believe Alec is volunteering with Campbell.

Hit.

Especially after all the crap he said about her. She doesn't remember that night, but I do.

Hit.

I remember wanting to hit the living crap out of him, but she calmed me down.

Hit.

Then there is the fact that she's mad at me for keeping secrets. I want to tell her so bad, but I don't want her to freak out.

Hit.

"I'm surprise that bag hasn't broken yet," my father said behind me.

I turned around, panting. I took off my gloves as he stepped into the garage. I threw a small towel around my neck before sitting down in a chair.

"So what's got you frustrated?" Dad asked, crossing his arms against his chest.

"How do you know I'm frustrated?" I asked him, wiping sweat off my face with the towel.

"You don't come out here unless you are frustrated. So what's up, kid?"

"It's Campbell," I said, taking deep breaths. I have been punching the bag for about two hours. My wrist is feeling fine now, but every now and again my ribs would hurt from the bruises.

"Hm.... What about Campbell?"

"Do you remember Alec Daniels?"

My father nodded with a shrug,"What about him?"

"He is volunteering with Campbell at the hospital," I answered, grabbing my water bottle off the floor.

"So you are jealous?" Dad asked, trying to figure out what's going on.

"I might be, but it's more than that. Alec and I have hated each other. Everything was a competition between us. It still is," I said before taking a sip of my water bottle.

"You are scared that Alec is going to take Campbell from you," Dad said, putting it all together.

I nodded,"Yeah, and charming her is so much harder now than it was before."

"Son, that love she had for you is still there. She just has to remember it's there."

"Everybody is telling me to just be patient, and she will love me back. But Dad it physically hurts that she doesn't love me back."

He sighed before sitting in another chair. "I'm going to tell you something, and you probably are going to get mad at me, but it's the truth." I furrowed my eyebrows, but nodded my head anyways.

"There is more fish in the sea. She's not the only girl. Maybe this is a sign that you two shouldn't be together," My father told me, rubbing his hands together.

I shook my head. "You don't understand. Dad, we are each other's half. Just like you and Mom, so don't tell me that there are more fish in the sea. I found the love of my life," I said, standing up from my chair.

"Son-..." Dad started, but I cut him off.

"I'm going to bed. Goodnight," I told him before walking out the garage.

I heard him sigh in frustration as I walked away. I walked inside the house to see Mom tidying up the kitchen.

"Do you need help?" I asked her, making her glance up at me.

She shook her head,"I already finished everything. Thank you, though."

"Okay. I'm going to bed. Goodnight."

"Night, Brent," she replied before I walked up the stairs.

I walked down the hall to my bedroom, and I grabbed another pair of clothes to change into after my shower.

Once I had my clothes in my hands, I walked back into the hall to the bathroom. I shut the door behind me, locking it, before turning the shower on cold.

I set my clothes down on the shelf, and I grabbed a towel out of the closet. Then I undressed before getting into the freezing shower.

I washed my hair and my body before getting out. I just wanted to go to bed, and let my mind be at peace for a few hours.

Before putting on my clothes, I dried off with the towel. Once I was dressed in gray sweatpants and a black tank top, I brushed my teeth before leaving the bathroom.

"He is hurting right now, Walter. Why would you say that to him?" I heard my mother whisper shouted as I came out of the bathroom.

"He needs to be prepared, Martha. If Campbell gets her memory back and doesn't love him, he is going to be heartbroken," Dad shot back as I peered down the stairs.

They were arguing in the living room, so the stairs were my only cover as I watched them.

"When Campbell gets her memory back, she'll remember the love between them. They might be young, but those two are meant to be together. Now you need to go upstairs and apologized," Mom ordered, pointing up the stairs.

My eyes widen as my father nodded. I quickly and quietly walked up the stairs and to my bedroom.

I turned the light off, and I got underneath the covers to pretend that I'm asleep. I closed me eyes as soon as my door opened.

"Psst, Brent," Dad whispered, taking a step into my room.

I kept my eyes close, and he stood there for a couple seconds before leaving my room, shutting the door behind him.

I waited until I heard him walking down the stairs to open my eyes. I grabbed my phone from my nightstand table.

I turned it on to see a picture of Campbell and I. We were on the beach, and she was on my back as I was walking. Hailey took it for me this past summer.

Seeing that smile on her face just makes me happy.

Campbell is the love of my life, and a lot of people will say that we are too young and it's not gonna work out. But I see a future with Campbell.

I want to marry her, and I want to own a huge house with her, maybe even get a dog.

Our love is not fake.

Our love is real.

All I have to do is make her realize that.
