REGULUS SAT AT THE SLYTHERIN TABLE, reading over the letter that his mother sent him. His father was so out of his life that he didn't even bother lifting up a quill to write a letter to him or Sirius.
Walburga controlled everyone in her family ( including her husband ). So imagine how indifferent he became when his mother sent him a letter through their House Owl.
The boy used his thumb to tear through the wax symbol of the Black emblem. "

Regulus released a groan of annoyance. Reyna across him raised a brow and smirked in amusement. She knew how much Walburga's letters were....cold and distant.
Hopefully, this letter reaches you, or else I'll have no choice but to blast that ruddy owl. How is everything with your fiance? Are you treating Reyna well? I do wish for her to attend the Gala at the Lestranges. The Dark Lord will be there as well.
That's if he decides to show up. I think he will, knowing that Reyna is a descendant of Merlin.
Both you and Reyna are turning sixteen soon. Which means that you are allowed to wear an engagement ring.
"Unbelievable....Reyna, it seems mother wants you to be at the ━━"
"Lestranges? Yes, I know." Reyna sipped her chai tea and her eyes trailed to the invitation in hand.
Regulus stared at his girlfriend wide-eyed and lost, "Bella invited you?"
"Yes? Why is that so surprising to you lot." Reyna questioned the bewildered group. Safe to say the blonde knew of their mixed opinions on the deranged woman that took joy in making everyone's lives miserable.
"She's insane ━━"
"Crazy in the head ━━"
"━━Are you sure you are alright?" Sonia asked quite petrified for her friend. She remembered in their first year how Bellatrix hexed a muggleborn in plain sight. There was no proof that it was the Lestrange.
Reyna rolled her eyes, "Perfectly fine you guys."
"Mother thinks he'll be there." Regulus hushed quietly and the group went into a bask of silence.
Instantly, Sonia gripped her best friend's arm. "What the hell is that supposed to mean Black?" the stories she's heard the past few years of how he massacred those that didn't wish to follow his views.
"For Reyna...everyone knows about where her family descendant from Merlin." Regulus sighed, glancing at Reyna worriedly. He didn't like this at all.
Regulus Black didn't expect things to go downhill. They ━━no ━━he thought there was more time to enjoy their last breath of innocence before his fate will be sealed to serve a man that wanted to kill millions.
"So that's in then...we give in?" Finn Nott uttered in despair.
"What choice do we have?" Rafael answered grimly. "It's either death or....kill and frankly I'd like to live."
Finn shot his friend a look of annoyance but didn't object to the idea.
"So you are fine following that maniac and believing his ideals? It seems you're forgetting Finn that you are dating a blood traitor!" Sonia exclaimed and left the table.
Finn quickly hopped on his feet and followed after his girlfriend. "Wait baby please ━━"
The trio watched Sonia storm away with Finn hot on her trail, trying to get the Patil to stop walking.
"The world's cruel...the worst part is that our parents are willing to use us as trophies to please their Dark Lord." Rafael scoffed and gulped his tea. His foot tapped against the floors.
Reyna pursed her lips and stared at the letter placed in front of Regulus. Her crystal eyes darted to his troubled grey hues. "So we'll stick together as we planned, remember?"
She turned to Rafael and grasped his hand, "Everything's going to be alright."
"What if it isn't going to be alright...I...I have this feeling Rey. This isn't going to end well. Fuck, we're just kids!"
The sad and cold harsh truth. Rafael was right. They were just regular witches and wizards trying to learn and live their life. Except that wasn't the case.
