THE SICK FEELING IN REYNA'S STOMACH hasn't left the moment Regulus and Reyna departed until later tonight where they'll meet at the Astronomy tower.
She hated to keep secrets from her friends. Knowing how worried Sonia would be knowing that because of her bloodline, the dark wizard would no doubt want her on his side.
A faction that caused destruction and chaos in its wake.
Being a descendant of Merlin wasn't something that Reyna flaunted out in the open. People knew it's just they never really thought of it much.
"He'll be after you..."
Turning around she saw Regulus standing there. Hair and white collared shirt were disheveled. Reyna could practically smell the alcohol and she immediately stood up.
"Reg are you drunk?!" Reyna asked the obvious, feeling completely stupid for asking that question. Of course, he was and no doubt Finn was also a mess. Hair disheveled through the number of times running his fingers through the long locks out.
The boy grinned adorably at the blonde and wrapped his arms around Reyna's waist. "Baby you're hereee!"
The girl chuckled slightly and sat him down on the wooden chair. "Yes, yes, yes it's me Reg, you need to sit down."
Regulus whined in protest and looked like he wasn't letting go anytime soon. His face nestled against her stomach. The Black hummed and giggled.
Reyna's hardened gaze became soft. Though she was caught off guard when Regulus placed her on his lap and buried his face against the crook of her neck, placing soft kisses on her skin.
"You are so pretty," Regulus murmured sleepily and his hands on her waist drooped. "So fucking beautiful━━could give Aphrodite a run for her money━━"
All of a sudden he stopped talking, instead he snored.
Silence fell for a bit and Reyna's lips twisted into a genuine smile, however it washed away when she realized something.
If Regulus was knocked out how the fuck was she going to get back to the dorms?
Outside the sun beamed through the windows of the astronomy tower. In the corner, a boy and girl slept on a quilt blanket. Regulus' grudgingly woke up absolutely hammered. He blamed Finn for egging him on.
He inhaled through his nose and noticed the fireplace probably died out. He didn't remember much of what happened, but he remembered constantly calling Reyna pretty.
Thank Salzar it was Saturday.
"Morning." Reyna groaned and opened her eyes to be greeted with sunlight.
Regulus leaned over and kissed her lips. The blonde hummed and moved closer to deepen the kiss.
They were lost in their own world to not care about anything else. Joining a band of Death Eaters, their parents, brothers and sisters.
It was always the two of them against the world.
"Reg...what's the date today?"
He seemed to take note of this and paused to think, until he lurched up all panicky. "The Train...it'll be leaving in thirty minutes..."
Reyna shrieked and got up to grab her robe that she used as a blanket. "We need to leave...holy shit!"
They managed to get back to their dorms and quickly pack, knowing they were the last few to leave.
Regulus and Reyna ran together hand in hand to the Hogwarts Express. "Are we even going to make it in time?!"
"Don't be ridiculous Reg, the train won't leave in five minutes!"
He helped her up the train steps and took her bags. Regulus abruptly shoved them towards the Elf putting luggage away, giving the creature a polite thank you.
Many would've looked at him strangely but Reyna always found it sweet of him.
Eventually they found a carriage to themselves, knowing that their was no use in finding their friends now that the train was about to start.
Reyna wore a hesitant expression. "Lets go home..."
"Home it is." Regulus uttered in sadness. That place wasn't home without his brother living under their roof.

₊˚ 𖤐₊ ⁀➷ I'm going to probably go back and edit and mention that she's a descendant of Merlin on the summary page. But this will be discussed more in the second book CARPE DIEM.
