Chap. 33
*Zac Allen
But unfortunately I have meetings to attend too, it can't wait. It was our big client. Yes she is my priority, Lala knew that. But marami ding umaasa sa'king empleyado, alam kong maiintindihan niya.
I'll call her immediately, she said she'll understand, I said babawi ako. I promise. May sinasabi pa siya pero hindi ko na naintindihan, my secretary said our client was at the conference room already.
Our client were too strict and hard to get. Masyado silang mabusisi, they asked too many questions, ganon naman talaga, lalo na't milyon ang nakataya but thanks to the team I assigned to do the presentation because they've managed to deal with it. Tumagal iyon ng halos isa't kalahating oras. I feel exhausted but happy at the same time because I see the client satisfied and we got them sign to the contract.
Kaya I need to make it sure that I will assign the best team to do this project.
By lunch, actually it is 15 minutes to one na. I decided to ask Lala na mag lunch kami sa labas with Zian, I was about to call her when I open my phone I received five messages one from my dad saying pupunta daw siya sa office, one is from ate Zoe, congratulating me, as well as my mom. The other two was from Lala.
"Jan is here, visiting Zian." What the, Jan? Lala's ex? I thought he was in Canada. I call her immediately but the moment I dial her number, my secretary knock on my door.
"Sir, your dad is here."
I sigh, I release a heavy breathe. "Okay. Papasukin mo si dad." Walang ganang sagot ko.
"Hey son, I'm your dad. Do I really need an appoinment. Kailangan pa ng confirmation from you, huh?" Sabi ni dad na nakangiti. Anyway congratulation son, I'm proud of you, let's call for a celebration." Masayang bati ni dad.
"Of course not dad, inutos ko kasi na ayoko muna ng disturbances. But thanks dad." I fake a smile. Napansin naman agad ni daddy 'yon.
"What with that face iho? Dapat masaya ka, it's an achievement." Puna ni dad.
I sigh. "I was just exhausted dad. Medyo mahirap ding kausapin ang mga kleyente pero buti't naging maayos naman ang lahat." Pagsisinungaling ko. But the truth is Lala is all I'm thinking of. Kasama niya ang lalaking 'yon. Yes may karapatan at obligasyon siya kay Zian as a father.
"Oh, well dahil dyan, we really need to celebrate. Tell your secretary na magpadeliver. It's my treat." Dad said with full of energy. I want to see Lala and Zian right now. Am I being paranoid or insecure to that guy?
Magpapaalam na sana ako kay dad na pupuntahan ko lang si Lala, but it's a wrong timing dumating din si mommy at ate Zoe that's why pinagpaliban ko na muna.
"Congrats again iho. I'm so proud of you." Bati ni mommy at niyakap pa ko.
Gumanti din ako ng yakap. "Thanks my. It will never happened kung wala ang magagaling kong employee." I said, by then pinasalamatan ko silang lahat at kinongratulate din.
The celebration last for almost three hours every one were happy and enjoying the food except me. Tahimik lang ako, paminsan minsan ngumingiti sa speech ni dad at panaka-naka din ang tingin sa phone ko if she text again, and ate Zoe notice it.
