Y/N'S POV
When I arrive at breakfast the next morning my friends quickly ask me why my hand is covered in a bandage
"Don't worry guys, I just burned myself" I tell them
I start eating the porridge and have a little chat with Hermione. Some time later I hear Harry hiss as he tries to grab something and when I take a look at his right hand I see a sentence engraved on his skin
I must not tell lies
As we leave the Great Hall I grab Harry's arm and we both stop walking. He furrows his eyebrows when I take his hand in mine and gently trace the words that make me remember what happened to me last night
"I know how it feels"
I slowly unwrap the bandage around my hand and show him the sentence that has yet to fade away
"You too?"
"Yeah...but I don't think I will face a detention with Umbridge again...my grandma gave that woman a piece of her mind" I say giggling
We start walking again and when I hear him hissing again I decide to tell him about what Severus did
"Listen...I know that you and professor Snape don't have the best of relationship between a student and a teacher but...he helped me yesterday night with my hand and he could help you too" I say
"Y/n...I don't think that's a good idea-"
"Please! At least think about it"
"Ok...I will" he agrees
We go to our first class and when I see Lauren I go sit next to her
"Hey nugge- what happened to your hand?!" she asks
"It's nothing"
She gently grabs my hand and kisses the back of it. I blush and stare into her beautiful green eyes
The lesson starts and I quickly break our eye contact to grab my book

I arrive in the Gryffindor common room and I start doing the tide of homework that the professors have given us. As I write the essay that professor Grubbly-Plank assigned I run my fingers through my hair in frustration
"Mione can you please help me before I throw this papers out of the window?" I ask my friend
"Sure" she giggles
When we finish all of our homeworks I notice that it's dark outside so I take a look at the clock to see what time it is
"Crap, we skipped dinner" I tell her
"Now that you mentioned it...I'm a little hungry"
"I know that you probably won't like the idea but...we could go ask the house elves for some food?"
I see her nod so we both get up from the couch and leave the Gryffindor tower. We soon arrive in the kitchens and we see Dobby coming towards us
"Miss Y/n, miss Hermione what can we do for you?"
"Can we have some food please? We skipped dinner because we were doing homework" I ask him
"Of course, wait here"
As we wait I grab two chairs and we sit down. The elf comes back with two plates filled with food and we start eating
"So Hermione...when did you realize that you liked Ron?"
"W-what do you mean? I-i don't like him like that!" she says blushing
"Oh please! I've seen the way you look at him"
"Ok fine...I like Ron!" she finally admits
"And I think I realized it some time during our third year" she continues
I smile and hug her. We finish eating and after thanking the house elves leave the kitchen
"Hey girls, where were you?" Harry asks
"We went to eat something"

Harry, Ron, Hermione and I enter the Hog's Head and sit at a table. Some time later I see a lot of people coming in
"So...I had this idea of...we all know that Umbridge isn't teaching us how to defend ourselves so...we need to be prepared because...Voldemort is back" my muggleborn friend says
A few people gasp and after a lot of discussions I see Hermione taking parchment and quill out of her bag
"I think we should write down our names"
I do just that and I smile when I see Lauren signing up too. When we all leave I go to her and hug her tightly
"Thank you for being here"
"Hermione told me about her idea and I thought it was great so I decided to join" she says
"Want to go around Hogsmeade together?"
"I have to go meet with Brad...maybe some other time?"
"S-sure, no problem"
I watch as she leaves, sigh and shiver when a gust of cold wind hits my body. I walk around the village alone and just take a look at the shop windows
"I really want to dye my hair but my parents won't let me do it" I hear someone say
"It would be easier if you were a Metamorphmagus...I heard that they can change their appearances at will" the other girl says
I instantly think about Tonks after hearing that and I smile to myself. Since I have nothing to do here I decide to go back to the castle and when I arrive in my dorm I decide to write a letter to the purple haired girl
Dear Tonks,
How are you doing? It's kind of a nightmare here...with Umbridge and all...
Wish you were here with me
I miss you a lot and I hope to see you again soon

I go to the owlery and call for Odette. After giving her some treats I tell her the name of the person the letter is for and watch her fly away
Chapter 40 😲 pretty crazy (never wrote a story this long)
Also, sorry for the late update (kinda...after all I've been updating every 2/3 days 😂) but I didn't have time to write because of the holidays
