From enemies to lovers (Lauren/You)

Chapter 54

Y/N'S POV

I finish packing my stuff and go to Hermione to help her, when we're done I hug her and smile

"I'll see you after the holidays, have fun"

"You too Y/n"

When we are outside I hug my grandma and after that we go towards the carriages, we arrive at the train station a few minutes later and we go inside the train

A few hours later we arrive in London and Lauren and I look around for our parents

"There they are" I say

We go to them and I quickly hug my dad, after the hugs we all go to the parking lot and get in the cars. We arrive at the Jauregui's house and go inside

Lauren and I are setting the table for the Christmas dinner that we'll have tonight

"I can't wait to see your grandparents again" I say

"Really?"

"Yeah, I like them"

"They like you too" she says smilig

I smile too and keep setting the table, a few hours later Lauren's family arrives and I smile when I see my green eyed friend hugging everyone

She's so cute

Some time later we start having dinner and I talk with Taylor

"When are you going to confess to my sister?"

"W-what?" I blush

"I saw the way you look at her"

I bite my lip and look at Lauren, she looks at me and smiles and I do the same

"I want to tell her but I don't know how...I mean, I can't go to her and say 'hey, I like you' out of nowhere"

"I'm sure you'll find a way"

I hope so

New Years eve arrives and we're all outside waiting for midnight to arrive

"Mom, can we please drink some wine?" Lauren asks

"Well...you're both sixteen so I guess you girls can have a few glasses"

I giggle and watch as Clara pours some wine into my glass, three or four glasses later my head starts spinning and I grip my friend's arm

I guess this is my sign to stop drinking

After the countdown and all the Happy New Year's, Mike sends us back to our rooms and as we walk I start giggling out of nowhere

"You're so cute Lauren"

"Thanks nugget" she giggles too

We arrive in her room and I fall on the bed, I watch as she gets on top of me and I bite my lip. Her face starts getting closer and I, after cupping her cheeks, start leaning in as well but before our lips can touch we both pass out

The next morning I wake up with my head pounding and I groan, I try to recall what happened yesterday night but my memories stop at me drinking my fourth glass of wine, I notice that I'm in Lauren's room and I watch as she sleeps

Fuck, I hope I didn't confess my feelings while I was drunk

She starts waking up and rubs her eyes before looking at me

"What happened?"

"I don't know...we probably had too much wine"

I run inside the infirmary and go towards the bed Ron's laying on, I notice that Hermione is holding one of his hands and I smile a little

"What happened?" I ask Harry

He explains what happened and I nod, some time later Lavander arrives  and looks at our red headed friend

"What is she doing here?" she points at Hermione

"I could ask you the same question"

"I happen to be his girlfriend"

"And I happen to be his...friend"

They start discussing and a few minutes later we hear Ron groaning

"He's waking up"

"He-Hermione" he says

I smile and after that we decide to leave him and our muggleborn friend alone. As I walk through the corridors I see Lauren and I run towards her

"Hey nugget"

I hug her tightly and start shaking

"What's wrong?"

"Ron got poisoned...this is the second time in less than three months that an Hogwarts student almost dies...this isn't a safe place anymore" I say

"Please, promise me that nothing will happen to you" I continue

"I can't promise you that Y/n/n but I'll try to be careful"

I nod and keep hugging her as she strokes my hair

Slightly shorter chapter than usual because I didn't have many ideas 😣
