From enemies to lovers (Lauren/You)

Chapter 3

Y/N'S POV

I wake up with a big smile on my face and stretch my arms

Looking towards Hermione's bed I find her reading a book, already dressed in her school uniform

"How long have you been up?" I ask

"For like...thirty minutes" she replies without looking up

I take a look at the clock and notice that I only have less than an hour to get ready before breakfast so I stand up from the bed

After taking everything that I need I go towards the bathroom and take a shower

I wear my uniform, put my hair in a bun and put on the necklace that my sister bought for me as a gift for being accepted into Hogwarts

When I'm ready I return in the bedroom and I find Hermione at the door, ready to go

Together we exit the Gryffindor common room and go towards the Great Hall for breakfast

(After breakfast)

Hermione, Harry, Ron and I are on our way to our first class of the year, Potions

"I heard that professor Snape is the one students have the most problem with" Ron says

"Why?"

"Mostly because of his strict rules during class...Fred and George told me that he will take away house points only if he sees you talking or if you're not paying attention" Ron answers

"I also heard that one time or two he humiliated students in front of the whole class because they did a potion wrong" he adds

"Well...I am of the opinion that you should see for yourself before judging someone and that's why I'm going to give him a chance" I say

A few seconds later we reach the class and we see that almost all the seats are occupied

I seat next to a Slytherin girl and when she turns around I instantly recognize her

"She's the girl with the pretty eyes" I think

I feel like I'm in a trance and I keep looking at her until she notices that she's being watched

"Are you done staring at me?" she says in a rude tone

"S-sorry" I say looking down, feeling my cheeks heat up

A few seconds later professor Snape enters the classrom, making the door slam against the wall

He starts explaining what we'll do and learn during this year and other things

"Now pay attention and take notes" he says

I take my quill out and start writing everything he says, sometimes taking a look at the girl beside me and at the professor

"This is going to be a long year"

(At lunch)

I sit at the table next to my friends

"How is your first day going guys?" Harry asks

"Good" we all say at the same time

"Hey Y/n I wanted to ask you something"

"Go on Hermione" I say

"I saw you looking at that Slytherin girl, Lauren Jauregui, during Potions today and I wanted to know why"

I feel my cheeks heat up for the second time that day and I look down at my plate

"N-no reason at all, I just wanted to introduce myself but she caught me staring at her and she indirectly told me to fuck off so I gave up"

"I'm not surprised she indirectly told you to fuck off...she's a Slytherin after all and we all know how they act around others that aren't in their house" Ron says

After that we all go back to eat but I can't help take a look at the Slytherin table and search for Lauren

When I find her I see her laughing with her friends and I smile a little

"She's not a bad person and I'm going to prove it...my mission for this year will be to become her friend" I think to myself

Prepare Lauren Jauregui, I'm coming for you
