Y/N'S POV
"Okay now try to do the spell" professor Flitwick says
We are in Charms class and we are learning a spell called 'Wingardium Leviosa' that levitates objects
Everyone starts using their wands to try and levitate the feather placed in front of every student
"Wingardium Leviosa" I hear Ron pronouncing the spell in the wrong way and take a look at him as he waves his wand back and forth
I giggle at that and Hermione tries to help him
"And you're saying it wrong...it's leviOsa, not leviosAR" she says
"Do it yourself since you are so good, come on"
She does just that and the red headed boy frowns. As the professor congratulates my friend a little explosion happens and we all look at Seamus
"I think another feather is needed here professor" Harry, that is seated beside him, says
When the lesson ends I collect my belongings and leave the classroom. As I'm walking with part of the class Ron starts mocking Hermione
"It's leviOsa, not leviosAR...no wonder she has no friends" he says laughing
Soon after that Hermione surpasses us with tears in her eyes
"I think she heard you" Harry says
"Why did you say that Ron? She was just trying to help you!" I run after Hermione and we soon reach the girls bathroom. She gets inside a stall and locks it, soon I hear her sobbing and my heart breaks
"Mione, can we talk?" she doesn't answer
"Come on, don't listen to what Ron said...he was just being stupid" no answer again
"Ok I'll leave you alone...I'll tell McGonagall that you don't feel good so you can skip the other lessons" I say before going away
When I'm at the door I hear a small 'thank you' coming from the stall she locked herself in. I smile and leave the bathroom
(At dinner)
I hope Hermione is alright. I didn't have the time to go and see if she calmed down after I left her alone a few hours ago
"Where is Hermione?" Ron asks
"Funny how you want to know about her after what you said" I think to myself
"I heard from some of her friends that she locked herself in the girls bathroom and that she skipped the rest of her lessons" someone says
A few minutes later professor Quirrell runs inside the Great Hall shouting
"A troll in the dungeons! A troll in the dungeons!" he says before fainting
Everyone starts panicking and Dumbledore orders for everyone to return to their dorms
We follow our prefect but as we walk Harry grabs Ron and I's arm and stops us
"Hermione! She doesn't know about the troll, we need to tell her!"
We start running towards the girls bathroom but we stop ourselves when we see the troll going towards the same direction
"And here I thought that trolls were stupid...he managed to go from the dungeons to here"
"Now is not the time, Hermione is-" before I can finish the sentence a scream reaches our ears
We run inside the bathroom and I see my friend curled up in a corner with the troll in front of her. Without thinking I throw a piece of broken sink at the troll's head and he turns towards us
"Great, now we are his targets" Ron says
Before we can even make a plan to try and stop the troll Harry runs towards him, jumps and he soon finds himself with his legs wrapped around the troll's neck. The troll tries to shake the young wizard off of his body but with his actions he only gets a wand up his nose. After that he takes one of Harry's leg and holds him upside down. I run towards the troll, jump and wrap one of my arms around his big wrist. I reach for my wand but before I can try to do something I let go of his wrist to not get hit by his cudgel and fall on the floor
"Ron do something!"
"Wingardium Leviosa" the troll's cudgel starts levitating and hits him in the head
The troll falls to the floor unconscious and soon professor McGonagall, professor Quirrel and professor Snape enter the bathroom
"What happened here?"
We stutter and try to find an excuse when Hermione starts talking
"I was searching for the troll. I thought I could defeat him since I read everything about the argument...if it wasn't for Harry, Ron and Y/n I would have died"
"I'm very dissapointed in you miss Granger...5 points will be taken from Gryffindor for your act" she says
"As for you three" she points her finger at us
"5 points to each of you for your courage" she says smiling a little
After that we exit the bathroom and with Ron and Hermione making peace we reach our dorms
