Chapter 53

*Two months later*

Y/N'S POV

As Lauren and I walk near the entrance of the castle I notice a familiar face and I gasp

"Ashley? Is it really you?"

The blonde haired woman turns her head towards me and I smile when I see that it's really her, I run towards her and wrap my arms around her neck before hugging her tightly

"Oh my god! I haven't seen you in forever" I say

"I know! I missed you so much"

"I missed you so much too Ash"

She kisses me on the cheek and I smile more before doing the same

"Come with me, I want you to meet someone"

I grab her hand and take her where Lauren is standing

"Ashley, this is my best friend Lauren. Lo, this is Ashley Benson...my sister's best friend"

They shake hands and I smile, we talk for a little bit and then I look at the blue eyed woman

"Please tell me Lucy and Troian are here too"

"They should arrive in...right now apparently"

I turn around and when I see the two girls I run towards them with a big smile on my face

LAUREN'S POV

I stare at Ashley with furrowed eyebrows and I cross my arms against my chest

What is Y/n to her?

"You don't need to be jealous, I don't like Y/n...in fact, I'm happily married"

She shows me her left hand where a ring shines in the sunlight

"H-how did you know?" I blush

"Come on, it's pretty obvious"

"Apparently not obvious enough for Y/n..."

"Then maybe you should tell her directly"

I blush more and look towards the entrance of the castle. I watch as my crush hugs two girls, most probably the ones she mentioned two minutes ago, and smile a little

I really should tell her how I feel

As Christmas approaches, snow covers the castle's grounds and I watch as it falls

"Hey Lo"

"Hey nugget" I smile at her

"What are you thinking about?"

"What to wear for tonight's party" I sigh

"Party?"

"Yeah...Slughorn is hosting one for his little club"

"Oh...that must be fun...I wish I could go"

"Well, he said that we can bring someone with us. Would you like to go with me?" I ask her

"I would like to go to the party with you Lo"

"Great! Let's meet at the Entrance Hall at seven thirty"

Y/N'S POV

I put on my outfit for the party and look at myself in the mirror

I put on some make-up and when I'm ready I leave the Gryffindor tower and go towards the Entrance Hall, when I turn the corner I notice that Lauren already arrived and I take a look at what she's wearing

She's honestly so perfect

I go to her and smile when she sees me

"You look beautiful nugget"

"T-thanks"

"Should we go?"

She offers me her hand and I nod as I interlock our fingers, a few minutes later we are in front of Slughorn's office door and Lauren opens it

I notice that the party has already started and we decide to go to our Potions professor to say hi to him

"Hello professor" Lauren says

"Hi there miss Jauregui, I see that you brought miss Y/l/n with you. Are you two together?"

I blush and notice that he's looking at our intertwined hands

"N-no professor, w-we're just friends" I say

"Oh, I'm sorry for assuming. You ladies can go enjoy the party"

We nod and go grab a snack, as the party goes on I talk with a few people and at some point I bump into Hermione

"Hey, I've been looking for y-"

"Hide me please" she says

"From who?"

"McLaggen"

"You seriously came with him?"

"I wanted to make Ron jealous" she blushes

I giggle and tell her that I will help her hide from the boy, fifteen minutes later Lauren comes towards us and looks at me

"Can I have this dance?"

I hear a slow song playing and blush but I nod nonetheless, we go to the dance floor and I wrap my arms around her neck as hers go around my waist

I'm slow dancing with Lauren Jauregui, it feels like a dream but it's really happening

We move to the rhythm of the music and I lay my head on her shoulder

"Thank you for being here with me" I hear her say

"Thank you for inviting me"

The song ends a few minutes later and I pull away from her, an hour later the party ends and Lauren takes me back to the Gryffindor tower

"It was an amazing night" I say

"Agree"

Before going inside I decide to ask her something

"Hey, since I'm going home for Christmas and so are you...would you like to come spend it at my house?"

"I have a better idea...you, your parents and sister come to our house and we spend Christmas all together"

I smile and tell her that I will let them know, she kisses me on the cheek and leaves after saying goodnight

Ashley Benson has my whole heart ✨ I want to meet and hug her so freaking badly
