*A few months later*
Y/N'S POV
Three months have passed since the Christmas night where I asked Lauren to sit with us. After that night she started ignoring me again and I decided to do the same
As I think about what lessons I have today I arrive in the Great Hall and sit with my friends
"Good morning" I say
"Hi Y/n" Ron says with his mouth full of pancakes
Wait...pancakes! I quickly put some on my plate and smile...this day started in a great way
After breakfast we take our books and walk towards the Transfiguration classroom for our first lesson. The day goes by pretty quickly and soon it's time for lunch
"Hey guys I'm not hungry so I'll just go sit under a tree and read a book. I'll see you later" I give them a smile and start walking through the corrids
Five minutes later I reach my destination and sit on the ground with my back against the tree. I take out the book 'To kill a mockingbird' and start reading it. When I'm half-way through it I hear someone sitting on the other side of the tree and, being the curious person that I am, I decide to look at who it is. I can only see a mass of black hair so I decide to walk around and sit next to...Lauren?
"Uhm, hi" I say to her
She turns around and looks at me. Instead of telling me to go away and leave her alone she gives me a little smile and soon returns her gaze towards her book
"Well...that's a first" I think to myself
I sit next to her and just read my own book in silence, not wanting to disturb her. We stay like that for a little while when, from the corner of my eye, I notice Lauren staring at the book in my hands. I stop reading and look at her
"What?" I ask hiding a smile
"You're reading To kill a mockingbird?" she asks me
"Yeah, it's my favourite book"
"It's my favourite book too!" she says excited
She looks so cute
"I read it like a hundred times" I say smiling
"Same"
We talk about the book until it's time to return to our lessons. I wave goodbye to her and start walking towards my next class. When I enter the History of magic class I sit next to Hermione
"You have a big smile on your face...what happened?"
"Nothing much, just had a conversation with an unexpected someone"
*A few days later*
With the both of us having a free period (A/n: I don't remember if you can have free periods at Hogwarts, just go with it 😂) Lauren and I decided to meet under our tree. We've bonded a lot this past few days, we mainly talked about books but one or two times we asked each other a few personal questions
When I arrive I see she's already there so I go towards the tree and sit next to her
"Hi Lauren"
She gives me a small smile and soon we start reading and after that we discuss about the book until it's almost time to go. Lauren looks at me and starts talking
"I wanted to apologize for how I treated you when you just wanted to be my friend"
"Well...is that offer still valid?" she adds and I look at her wide eyed
"You want us to be friends?" I ask and she nods
I give her a big smile and hug her
Now I can finally say 'Mission Complete!'

Btw I was thinking of doing the same thing that happened to Ron and Hermione in the books/movies for Y/n and Lauren...they like each other through the years but only kiss during the battle of Hogwarts...do you like the idea? Let me know
