From enemies to lovers (Lauren/You)

Chapter 17

Y/N'S POV

I wake up from a peaceful sleep and get up from the bed. Checking the time I notice I have more than an hour and a half to get ready for breakfast

I take out a book and start reading as I wait for time to pass. Thirty minutes later I close my book, take my uniform and go to the bathroom to take a shower

When I'm ready I go back to my dorm and find Hermione smiling at me

"Good morning"

I watch as she puts her books in her bag with a worried expression

"Umm Mione...are you sure you'll be able to follow all those courses this year?" I ask

"Don't worry Y/n/n, I'll be alright" she says before going to the bathroom

"I hope so" I think to myself

After breakfast we go to the North Tower for our first Divination lesson

When we finally find the right way we go up the steps and we find part of the class

I see a trapdoor that gets opened a few minutes later. We enter the classroom and find a seat

"Welcome to Divination" professor Trelawney says

"This year we'll learn about the basic methods of Divination. The first trimester will be dedicated to reading tea leaves. On the next one we will move on to reading the hand" she adds a few seconds later

"And in the last trimester we will move on to the crystal ball...now form pairs...we'll start with reading the fund of our tea cups"

Hermione and I form a pair and start drinking our tea. When only the funds remain I pass my cup to my friend and she does the same

I take out my book and start trying to figure what's on the fund of the cup. I see the professor going towards Harry and Ron to help them

Ten minutes later we see professor Trelawney sit on an armchair with a hand over her heart

"Is something wrong professor?"

"It's the grim"

"The what?"

"The grim! It is a foreboding of death!" we all look at Harry

"I think it's best if we end the lesson here...you can take your things and leave"

I put the Divination book in my bag, leave the classroom with my friends and in silence we go to our Transfiguration lesson

We all take a seat and the lesson starts but I don't pay attention and just think about what happened not even 30 minutes ago

After the lesson we go to the Great Hall for lunch and I smile as I remember that in the next lesson, Cure of the magical creatures, I will be seeing Lauren. We eat and have small conversations until eventually Ron and Hermione start arguing and the latter leaves

We exit the castle and go towards Hagrid's hut. As we wait for the rest of the class to arrive I feel two hands covering my eyes

"Guess who?"

I smile as I place my hands over hers

"Uhmm...Lauren?"

"Correct!" she removes her hands from my eyes and hugs me from behind

When my back collides with her front I start blushing like crazy

What's happening to me? Why is my heart beating like crazy?

She lets me go a few seconds later and, as my cheeks turn back to their natural color, the lesson starts, we follow Hagrid and end up near a fence

"Now open your books"

"How?" Malfoy asks

"You have to caress it" he shows us

As we open our books Hagrid goes somewhere and comes back ten minutes later

"Hippogriffs! Now come near...walk towards them, do a bow and wait. If he does the same you can touch him, if he doesn't run away"

Harry goes first and soon Hagrid puts him on the Hippogriff's back. The magical creature starts flying around and comes down a few minutes later

"Someone else wants to try?"

I make my way towards one of the Hippogriffs with Lauren. We do a bow and when he does the same we start petting him

"This is so cool"

We both turn around when we hear a scream and find Malfoy on the ground. Hagrid takes him in his arm and carries him to the infirmary

"Should we go visit Hagrid?" Ron asks

"We still have some time before curfew..."

We leave the common room and go towards his hut. I knock on the door and when we enter we see a clearly drunk Hagrid. I take away the jug he was drinking from and Hermione helps him get up and go outside to take a breath of fresh air

When he comes back inside he seems to be doing better but when Hagrid's eyes land on Harry the tall man starts yelling

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE? YOU SHOULD BE IN YOUR DORMITORY"

He accompanies us back to the castle and we return to our common room

After saying goodnight to the boys Hermione and I go to our dormitory, change into our pajamas and go to sleep

So...I had this cute little idea...and I decided that Professor McGonagall will be the reader's grandma
Now, I don't exactly remember how old she is in the books/movies but I really like this idea and I hope you will too 😊
