Lord Inquisitor VII

No doubt about it... my reentry into Orion did not go as planned. Nothing in life ever goes as planned, but not everything takes a dramatic turn like my reentry. Fighting the guards to the palace, making the Grand Military submissive, beating the Knight Order's Grandmaster in a duel, defeating the Inquisitors, and embarrassing many more along the way... Truly, my reentry into Orion was rather interesting, and very unique.

To be fair... I didn't expect the Inquisitors to doubt that I was the Lord Inquisitor, nor did I expect the rest of everyone to doubt who I was either. But... it is what it is, and if I could turn back time to fix it all then I would.

But I'm not able to change the past...

Paladin, along with Merelona and Violet, arrives at the front doors to what was the Council chambers. Standing in front of them, he notices an officer with two guards standing next to each of his shoulders, staring at him and holding onto the top of his sheathed sword, making Paladin sigh.

"Am I allowed to enter?" Paladin asks. "Or am I gonna have to prove myself again once more?"

Knowing what Paladin's way of proving himself entailed, the officer didn't hesitate to shake his head, but his eyes were narrowed.

I can tell that the officer and many others are mad at me... I can tell that people are still gonna question whether or not I truly am the Lord Inquisitor, despite how much strength I've already shown them. Many more are also questioning the Inquisition, for if I truly am I fraud, the Inquisition just got walked in on and dominated by some random person, showing that the Inquisition is a fragment of what it used to be... and that it was time to replace them.

Paladin sighs and shakes his head, thoughts of how others saw the Inquisition bothered him. Merelona, standing next to him and looking up at his face, she was able to see that Paladin was being bothered by something, but she didn't know what it was.

"Alphy... are you okay?" she asks.

"There's a lot on my mind right now."
Did I make the correct choice? Was it right of me to return to Orion, and to disgrace the Inquisition like I had? Was it the right choice to come back by force?

I might've made a huge mistake...

"You may have made a mistake by returning with force, Paladin," Violet says, "but there is no way of knowing for sure until some time goes by. Either way though, if you come to find that your return by force was a mistake, you have to come to terms with it and you must live with it."

How did she know that I was... No, that doesn't matter, because she is right...

I won't know for sure if I have made a mistake until some time goes by, but until then, it shall always be in the back of my mind, and I will always question if I made the right choice.

"I see..."

"What do you plan on doing with Isabella?" Violet asks. "Part of your return to Orion includes visiting her, so when are you going to do it?"

Isabella and seeing her again has been in the back of my mind for awhile now... I want to visit her the moment we're done with our business here, so me and her can have some much needed time rekindling and making up for the time lost...

Paladin looks up towards the ceiling, and for a moment he's able to see Isabella, her sight alone bringing a smile to his face and giving him determination to push forward.

I can't wait... I just can't wait!

"Bullshit!"

Hmm?
Paladin is brought back to the ground and tilts his head, Merelona and Violet turn to each other, the officer in charge sighing before shaking his head.
