The final moments of the battle between the Dragon King Alpha, and the servant Vermilion has finally been reached.

Vermilion, a proud and loyal servant, was ready to die at the hands of the Dragon King if it was required. From the very beginning she pledged her heart to the Minotaur King's wishes, and if her life was required to achieve his wishes then there was no doubt that she would give it. Whether or not the Dragon King believed in such loyalty did not matter to her. The only thing that mattered was the wishes of the Minotaur King.

The Dragon King too was prepared to die. Not by her hands. He had already assessed long ago that Vermilion could not manage to kill him no matter how hard she tried. She would need luck on her side in order for him to die, and it didn't seem like luck was on her side. So while he wasn't prepared to die by her hands, he was prepared to give her a fair fight.

"Come then."

"Ooooooo.... Dwaaaaaagon Kiiiiiinggggggg, ...aha-- ahahahaha... Thiiiiiiiiis will be fuuuuuunnnnnnn!!!"

Vermilion attacked. She sped out of sight and remembered behind him. The Dragon King turned to face her, but she moved to behind him. He turned again and again she disappeared. Only this time and the following times, she would scathe his armor with her sanguine scythe of flames.

No matter how hard he tried to match Vermilion's newfound speed, he couldn't. In her new form, she had simply surpassed the Dragon King's speed in every way imaginable. So when she slashed at his chest, his legs and arms, burnt marks and scrapes from her scythe could be seen, and were seemingly spreading as time went by.

Burning sensations were attacking him from all parts of his body. The sanguine flames were strong, so strong that they almost rivaled the Dragon flames. If the sanguine flames she was composed of had been amplified by a stronger force, they could've rivaled Dragon flames - but not Alpha's flames.

The Dragon King realized he had little to no options. He flew up into the sky where he would float for a few minutes, and when left alone he would consider his options and which ones of the limited options would be the best choice.

Can the chains grab ahold of her?

Hard to say. She's composed entirely of flames. Flames so powerful that not even water can take her down.

Does that mean that Excalibur and Excalibent are unable to touch her?

On the ground. Vermilion grinned as she looked up at the Dragon King. Black wings then grew from behind her back, and she flew up like a bullet at him.

"What's wrong, Dwaaaaaaaaagooooooonnn Kiiiiiiinnnggg?!!! Can you think of a plan - can you, can you? ...Aha-- ahahahahaha!!!"

The Dragon King dodged the Vermilion bullet. As he did he looked up into the sky and was able to see a very large crack. Such a sight confirmed that his strategy had indeed been working as planned, and the Reality Orbis was on the verge of collapsing. How much more it was able to take he wasn't entirely sure, but he knew that his strategy was for sure working.

"...That'll work."

He looked at the volcano in the distance from the corner of his eye. Seeing an opportunity, he made Excalibent disappear and only held onto Excalibur. When Vermilion flew at him again he teleported to the side - completely avoiding her. When she came at him again, he again made the same maneuver. Over and over the two of them went at each other like this.

Vermilion flew head on. The Dragon King teleports away. She would fly in again, and the same result would occur but on the opposite side.

Every single time he teleported away, their battle had been inched closer and closer to the volcano.
