Somewhere in the dark hazy realm that was known as the Realms of Grey, Paladin and Violet were standing still as Paladin was reading the book given to him by the Prime Librarian, doing his best to understand the moves they had taken so far, and doing his best to figure out where they would go from their current point.

"So... I take it that we're getting close?" Violet asks.

Paladin closes the book and immediately turns to look around them. Finding nothing but pitch blackness and the grey sea of haze flowing by them. There was no way of telling if they were close to the Realm of Spirits, and there was no way of telling how they should proceed.

"I don't know..." I reply with disappointment. "The book got us to the Realms of Grey, but it didn't explain how we get to the Realm of Spirits."

Violet sighs and crosses her arms

"We're lost then..."

"Mhmm..."

Both of them then look around and hope to find something that could possibly help them, no matter how small it was. But like before, neither one of them are able to find anything useful since the Realms of Grey was just an endless pitch black sea of grey haze and nothing else.

"Well... it seems we have no other choice but to continue walking, Dragon King," Violet states.

And we're lost solely because of how strange this realm is... This strange grey hazy pitch black realm that is darker than night, a realm that has nothing in sight or outlined for miles and miles away. This realm is unnatural, and I may never see something like this ever again.

"Better than nothing... I guess..."

Paladin and Violet again start walking through the sea of the grey haze, hoping for a miracle to happen that would shift their fate so they would be able to arrive at the Realm of Spirits, and so their hopes can occur. Silence between them only lasted for a few short minutes however, because there were still things on their mind.

"Hey..." Violet looks at me. "Why did you leave Orion? Why have you been running away from it?"

Paladin clenches his teeth

This again?

Why can't she let it go already...

"I don't want to talk about it..."

Violet turns away and places her right hand on her chin

"Hmmm... I've been thinking about it, ya know," Violet responds. "You were having a panic attack in the Conclave of Gods, and it was caused by the events of your Legion of Death war being discussed, wasn't it?"

Paladin starts remembering the events that happened in the chamber, and the thoughts start bringing back the emotions and feelings that he felt when he started to panic. Showing that despite him not thinking about it, despite him avoiding it, the thoughts, feelings, and emotions he would always feel were there; they would not be disappearing anytime soon, and one reminder was capable of breaking the dam he built up to hold back the flood.

"Well..."

"You're running because someone close to you died."

And just by one simple sentence being spoken to him, Paladin felt like he was impacted by a bullet moving at the speed of light.

She's right... how did she know?

Archer...

Paladin quickly shakes his head

No... no... no...

I must not think about them... I must not think about him... I must not think about them... I must not think about him... I must not think about them... I must not think about him... I must not think about them... I must not think about him... I must not think about them... I must not think about him...
