Domains of the Inquisition, Orion.
Highclere, inside the Inquisition mansion, was standing on the second floor balcony that overlooked the entrance. Holding a stack of sealed envelopes, he looked through the window that was seated directly above the entrance.
"It's getting dark outside..." he sighed. "Better stay inside and go through the mail here. Don't want any important document getting wet," he spoke with an aggravated voice.
Highclere took a knife and proceeded to open up each piece of mail individually. Upon opening up the mail, he would carefully read the contents inside. He would then form two stacks of mail next to him. One stack being for mail he would later need. The other stack being for mail he considered junk.
"That's a lot of junk mail you got there, Governor Highclere."
Standing next to Highclere. Corey, an associate of the Inquisition and the designer of the Inquisition's many constructions in the Domain. He designed and built the Inquisition Complex that hosted the many thousands of New Dawn soldiers nearby. He had also refurbished the Inquisition mansion and made it a lot more livable.
"Mhm... One of the Inquisitors, the Wolf KIng or Demon King, signed up for a bunch of marketing schemes. He must've promised a lot of money as well - a few of the letters are asking for payment to unfreeze a bank account for some overseas princess."
Corey squinted his eyes at the junk mail
"Governor Highclere, ...I believe that is a scam."
"I know..."
"No way that can be Messiah, he wouldn't fall for a scam like that!"
Standing next to Corey. Syr, who was now Messiah's direct subordinate and acting as the Wolves' liaison to the Domains, made the claim that Messiah wouldn't fall for an obvious marketing scam. Little did she know that Messiah was very much capable of falling for it. However, in this case, it was more likely that he offered a bunch of things on behalf of the Inquisition and he had no intent of ever paying out - or dealing with.
"The Demon King seems like the type to fall for such a marketing scheme, but it can't concretely be said that the Wolf King wouldn't fall for something like that either. Both of them have the tendency to not be good with money. They also can be extremely generous," Corey averted his gaze from Highclere and tapped his chin. "Now that I think about... This mail is more likely belonging to the Demon King. Him offering up money to unfreeze some princess' bank account sounds like him."
Highclere nodded in agreeance as he opened up another envelope. He quickly skimmed over the mail like a pro, and he proceeded to sit the envelope down on the junk pile.
"..."
"Anything of note, Governor Highclere?" Corey asked.
Highclere opened up another envelope that was specially stamped with the three-interlocked pyramid seal of the Inquisition. It was a letter from Vohom. It detailed the transfer of the defeated Legion of Death Grandmasters to the Capital City - where they are now under the guidance of the Knight Order and the White Raven.
"Vohom and a small detachment of New Dawn reached the Capital City and successfully transferred over the defeated Grandmasters," Highclere explained. "They are now returning from the Capital City and should be back sooner rather than later."
"...Interesting..."
"Is that good news?" Syr asked. "...Like, is it a good thing that we transferred them over to the Knight Order's control? From what I've been told by Messiah, they were secured here and safe from any outsiders."
