The flames of the dragon blasted a path through the beasts at war. Bats and rabbits turned to ash from the flames. Bears growling as spears ripped through their chests.
Animals from all over turned their attention to the Lord Inquisitor, who marched through the created path holding both of his Divine swords.
Animals that managed to get close to him did not survive for long. Rabbits had their ears cut off, bats split in half, and the hearts or the heads of bears ripped out or sliced off as the Lord Inquisitor showed how little he cared for nature.
He was no animal lover, and by the second he got more and more annoyed with them.
Absolutely ridiculous...
Those two, Evius and King Viocene, converted these animals into their warriors and made them form into a massive swarm right outside the Dracula Keep. A swarm thick and plentiful with filthy animals - and expanding by the second.
The expansion he was speaking of?
Thousands of animals surrounding him turned into tens of thousands of animals. Screams of beasts filling the valley as they all charged into the sea of flames awaiting them. If Paladin was to fly up to the sky and look down, the entire valley and the area nearby would've looked to have been filled by suicidal ants jumping into lava.
Even though there was an outrageous amount of animals around him, Paladin's magicka wasn't even slightly exhausted. Even though he was constantly swinging his swords around, he never became exhausted. In fact, the more and more he killed the more and more energy he had.
His energy levels kept increasing because of how annoyed he was with the beasts.
If it wasn't for me drawing the attention of these beasts, Dracula Keep would've been invaded and eventually penetrated. None of the vampires inside - including Evius and Clerius - would've lasted against them. Violet and Merelona could've put up a fight and could definitely have stood their ground. Charlotte on the other hand... I'm not sure. She is a dragon and definitely has power, but I don't see her ever fighting like one.
Because of Paladin thinking about Charlotte for a brief moment, he lost concentration and his attacks weren't as quick. A determined rabbit, jumping and dashing around, managed to reach for the back of Paladin's right thigh and quickly opened its jaw and latched on.
Feeling the rabbit nibble on his thigh, Paladin stopped where he was and looked down. He watched as the sanguine eyed white rabbit chomped away at his armor - desperately trying to taste his flesh.
"Get your dirty serrated mouth off my thigh."
He then dropped both Excalibur and Excalibent into the snow. The dragon flames around Paladin strengthened and hastily expanded out into the proximity as the sea of flames cremated every animal who hungered for him. While that happened, Paladin grabbed the sides of the rabbit's mouth and forced it to open its jaw. Holding the rabbit in front of him, he gazed into its eyes as he then ripped its jaw into two lime a psychopath - blood spraying all over the ground when he did.
Finished with the rabbit, he tossed its carcass and its split jaw into the snow. He then grabbed Excalibur and Excalibent and continued into the town.
"Evius owes me because of that thing."
With the area cleared of animals - but the trees on fire from the sea of flames - Paladin let out a protracted sighed.
"Hate them... I hate every single one of those annoying pests..."
He then turned and faced the sounds of screaming coming from the town. The screams shrilling and ear-piercing, it was obvious that the animals were causing madness in the town.
