Hearing Violet's voice calling for him, Paladin stops and turns back to her.
"Is something wrong?"
Violet blushes and scratches the back of her head
I'm guessing something is wrong...
Does she not like the Dragon palace? I haven't been paying attention during the tour but it certainly can't be that bad of a place.
"No... but-errrrr..." Violet is hesitant. "I'd like to tell the story of how... well... tell the story of how Augustus and I met... if you don't mind listening of course..."
Paladin folds his arms
I'm intrigued - and of course I want to know the story of how those two met. It'll be important for understanding how close they were - and will help me understand the reasons why Cesar responded to her feelings. But if she isn't comfortable telling me the story...
"If you're not comfortable with telling me the story then you don't have to tell me, you can save it for another time or not tell me at all," I respond.
Of course I want her to tell me...
Violet quickly shakes her head - being comfortable or uncomfortable with telling Paladin the story was not a factor.
"I want to tell you the story - I want you to listen to the story!" she exclaims. "I want you to listen to the entire thing!"
Paladin nods and notices a door next to him. Intrigued, he opens the door and finds that it was an office room; a desk with pens and papers, various chairs, cabinets and tables around the small yet spacious room.
"Let's talk in here," Paladin says.
Violet nods and takes up his offer. Closing the door behind Violet, Paladin watches as she sits down next to a table near windows looking out into the garden, so Paladin joins her and sits in the chair on the other side of the table.
Paladin didn't pay attention to the garden, but noticing a teapot in between him and Violet, Paladin poured himself a cup of tea. Taking a sip of the tea, Paladin's eyes widen the moment the tea hit his taste buds
That's incredibly bitter... incredibly... awful...
Who the hell made this tea? Why would someone make tea like this?
"You want some tea?"
Violet shakes her head - declining Paladin's offer because of the facial reaction he gave when he took a sip, something that showed her how disgusting the tea was.
"Understandable..." I proceed to put the tea cup down between us. "Whenever you're ready to tell me the story, I'm ready."
Violet nods her head at Paladin's readiness, and she looks out into the garden - deeply sighing in preparation for the story she was about to tell. Paladin watches her attentively, and watches as her head slowly dips - until she was looking at the floor
This is going to be hard for her... isn't it?
"Well... ummm... long ago..." Violet hesitantly speaks. "I... I was the princess of a kingdom... A kingdom very, very far away from Orion..."
A kingdom far away from Orion?
Paladin places his right hand on his chin
Now that I think about it... I didn't really spend much time out of Orion, I never actually experienced the world out of it - besides Frostaria and Reach. Makes me wonder what the rest of the world is like... Makes me wonder if the people out there are far different than the people of Orion...
