Sat down at the table with Violet, Paladin looks around and watches as a group of people nearby hold their hands over their mouths and laugh with each other. Reasons unbeknownst to him, however, he watches as the entire group then stop and turn to look at him. Engaging in a stare off for only a few brief moments - making Paladin turn his head to his right and see what he assumed to be a God and Goddess of Order leaning up against the wall and staring at him. Finally, he looked behind Violet and saw a man staring at him; orange hair, orange eyes, arms crossed and a stare that looked to have been reaching for his soul.
I'm definitely out of place... I definitely don't belong here...
I should leave before something irreversible happens, I should leave because every single ounce of my body is telling me that I need to run far from here - my heart especially telling me that I needed to be gone quickly...
But I can't move my legs and I can only look at Violet - who is smiling and tilting her head.
"How do you expect me to meet people by sitting here - at this empty table?"
"Your presence attracts people from all over," she explains, "so the people will come to visit you while we enjoy ourselves."
I'm no doubt attracting attention from the others around - but I feel as if more people want to look on and watch from a distance instead of interacting, which I can't blame them - what's the point of interacting with someone like me?
"Oh-ho-ho..." a man's voice comes from out of nowhere. "Violet, with a smile on your face it seems like you're enjoying yourself."
"I'm doing well, Zeus," she replies.
One of the many Gods of Order, Zeus smiles as he places his hands in his pockets. Unlike the many other Gods of Order, Zeus was wearing a white labcoat and was wearing golden framed glasses. The labcoat blended well with his light blue hair and his light purple eyes.
His nasally scientific noise is annoying - I don't think I can listen to him for very long.
"Oh-ho-ho... That's very good..." Zeus turns and a blank look takes over his face as he stares at me for a brief moment or two. "You," Zeus smiles, "you're the reincarnated Dragon King I've heard so much about in a short amount of time."
"He is the Dragon King," Violet confirms. "What was your relationship with the previous Dragon King before he passed away?"
"Mmmmm... well..." Zeus shrugs. "The Dragon King and I never had a close relationship with each other, nor did we have much of a relationship at all. Nothing wrong with that, but I will say that I'm very much interested in the new Dragon King - seeing how you perform compared to the former iteration will be interesting, not to mention the fact that the infamous Lord Inquisitor and the Dragon King are now the same person, the same Lord Inquisitor who oversees the Inquisition that the Wolf King is part of."
What does Messiah have to do with anything?
"Why are you interested in the Wolf King?"
Zeus hands become fists and tightly clench as Zeus' teeth grind just by the mention of why he was interested in the Wolf King.
"He stole my prized possession... Duumholt!"
Ah... I recall that story to a certain extent...
Zeus challenged Messiah's former self a very long time ago to a very, very unfair game that Zeus had planned on easily winning. Messiah, being his rather cocky self couldn't not accept the challenge, so he went all out and somehow managed to defeat Zeus - the specific details being unknown to me.
