I posed in a mirror after lacing my white converse. "Yes I'm coming Caroline." I tell her before hanging up. I turn and jumped as Klaus stood there. "You." I snapped and rushed up pushing him back. "Bring my brother back." I say loudly as he grasps my wrists. "Love I cant do that. He will get his." he says but I magically fly him back to the wall. "I won't let my feelings get in the way of concealing you to a coffin." I threatened as tears came to my eyes. Klaus then vamp sped up and pinned me to my bed, holding my hands above my head. He smirked as he then kissed me. He pulled back and I smirked as I met him up half away and he let me go.

One second Klaus looks me in the eyes and kisses my head, and the next he was gone making me sigh and fall against the bed.

I walked through the halls as I sighed with my phone up to my ear getting my brothers voicemail, as I opened my locker. "Hey, Ty. It's me checking in. Things are just getting back to normal here, sort of. Elena's not quite there, but we're working on it. Look, I know that you can't call me back, but I keep thinking if I just leave these messages that when you do come home, it'll be like you never left...or that's the hope. Well, I'd better go. I love you, Tyler." I hang up as Caroline walks up to me. "No answer?" she asked but I shook my head pocketing my phone.

"I delt with an angry Klaus, tried to bargain my way to get Tyler back, except he wasn't trying to strike a deal." I explained as we walked down the hall together. "I have an idea." Elena says approaching us, holding up a flyer, "Can you guys get me my old spot back on the cheerleading squad?" she asked and Caroline and I shared a look. "I mean, technically, yeah. We're the captains, but I thought you hated cheerleading." I said and Elena smirked, "I did, but now I think it would be really fun to jump around and toss people up in the air. It's not like the routines are that hard." Glancing at Me, then smiling at Elena, Caroline nods, "I...think that would make Damon really happy." Elena smiles vacantly back.

--

The cheerleading invitational is underway as Elena, in her cheer uniform, observes the crowds. Inside, I approach her cheerfully. "The uniform still fits. You look fantastic." Elena twirls to show off her uniform, "We are totally gonna kick Grove Hills' ass." I called out smirking, "Yeah. Should be fun." Elena says. I moved the curtains and my eyes widened, "Wow. The competition's bigger than last year." I then closed it, "I'm gonna go stretch." I say and walked past Caroline and mouth, 'Watch her' Caroline nods and I smile at the girls and lead stretch.

--

"Ladies and gentlemen, give it up for your very own Lady Timberwolves" while the girls get in position and the crowd cheers. Led by Caroline's "Ready!", the team starts their routine: "L-O-L, O-M-G, you're looking at Mystic Falls Varsity! B-E-A-T, beat those Cats." Three girls, including Elena, toss Aaliyah into the air, but when she comes down Elena backs away and Aaliyah falls straight to the ground, and a sickening CRACK echoed through the room. The crowd gasps in shock while the rest of the team rush over to a sobbing Aaliyah who is holding her wrist to herself. Elena looks at Aaliyah, who is still on the ground, then at Stefan across the room, daring them to react, before turning and walking away.

Instead of Caroline taking me to the doctor, she takes me straight to Damon, who tucked my hair behind my ear. "Big bad Elena, get to little witch?" he joked making me scoff, and he chuckled and bit his hand placing it to my mouth. The iron pungent taste made me shiver as he pulled back and my arm finally felt better.

-

I knocked on the door and called out "Klaus!" the door opened and the brit smirked at me. "yes, love?" he asked and I sighed as before I could speak, I looked around him and spotted Hayley. "Hayley?" I asked and walked around Klaus and rushed over as she chuckled and hugged me. "Little Lockwood!" she called out and squeezed me. I turned as Klaus grabs his phone and walks out of the room. Hayley leads me to the other room and hands me a glass of wine.

Klaus is hanging up his cell phone while Hayley and I stand with a drink watching the fireplace. "My sister informs me that your vampire assailant is dead, so you're safe and free to go. Or stay." after a moment Hayley says, "I could be persuaded to stay, enjoy some of the good life. And maybe I could drum up a few more of Katherine's secrets and you could do something for me." She winked at me and we turned to Klaus, "Oh, I'm sorry, love, but you'll never convince me to let Tyler go free." Hayley nodded, "Well, then, I guess I'll never get my chance with Tyler any more than you'll get a shot with Caroline." Klaus looks torn and turns and walks away. "Well I guess I better leave." Hayley says and disapears from my sight.

-

I poured myself another drink as I walked into another room. Klaus was looking at a painting. "Do you wanna know why I like that painting?" I asked walking up. turning back around Klaus smirked, "Well, perhaps it was because it allowed you to see into my deep, wounded soul."

Walking towards him I chuckled, "I saw how twisted it really is." I bite my lip, "And maybe I can relate." I say and Klaus chuckled walking closer, "So what's it gonna be? Going? Or staying?" He asked me, "You like to be in control. You tell me." I mumbled. Klaus brushes his hand against my cheek before grabbing me to him and I grins. We start kissing and I pulls Klaus's shirt over his head. Klaus vamp-speeds her up onto the table and I tear my own shirt over my head. Klaus pushes me down flat onto the table, then mounts me and kisses my neck while I gasp and moan underneath him.
-
Klaus lays there as I get up to put my clothes on, "Running away, little witch?" Klaus asks  I smile a bit but don't say anything. Klaus reaches out and pulls my shoulder back a little, having spotted a strange mark on my back. It looks like a sun. "What?" I asked "That mark. I've seen it before." He says, "Yeah. It's a birthmark. People have those." I say sarcastically. "In my considerable lifetime, I've only seen that mark on a handful of others, all from the same bloodline-- a coven of witches that once thrived throughout much of what we now call Louisiana, some I've helped hide myself" I turned to him quickly. "You mean, I might still have family alive?" I asked and he nodded.

-

I walk into my house and jumped as Matt rushed down the stairs with a bat. "What the hell" I yelled and he sighed, "Tyler sent you something, its on your...-" He says, but I cut him off running upstairs. Matt ran behind me as I reached my room and an envelope was on my bed.

Liyah,
I miss you more than I can put into words, but I know as long as Klaus is alive, I can't come home. He won't stop trying to kill me, and you won't stop trying to protect me. Which means the only way to make sure you're safe is for me to go and never come back. I left Matt the deed to the house. It will protect you in ways I can't anymore. I will always love you. Your Brother, Tyler.

"He's not coming back." I whispered, as tears come to my eyes and my knees give out. Matt catches me as I start to cry.
