Brave New World

I skimmed the clipboard giving everyone jobs to do for the carnival. I need to stay busy and this carnival couldn't have come at a better time. I checked things off as I passed booth after booth. "Aaliyah." I said and turned seeing Jeremy. "Oh hey Jer!" I said smiling as I went back behind a booth to finish the set up. He looked conflicted and I turned to him leaning over the table top. "Look, Stefan told me.." I said trailing off and he got a look on his face. "Wait, how do you know? Did my sister tell you?" Jeremy asked and I sighed.

"No. She didn't" I said looking around as he got even more confused. "There's something I have to tell you, but I'm gonna show you instead." I said and he nodded. With no one in sight I rubbed my hands together before placing it over a stuffy. I pulled my hands back concentrating as it levitated. "Whoa!" Jeremy called putting as the stuffy fell to the ground and I looked at him. "I'm a witch."

I answered Jeremy's 101 questions before taking him home. I went back to my house myself, as I changed my clothes for the carnival.

I hitched a ride with Tyler and Uncle Mason, but completely ditched them as we got there. I went to get some cotton candy and walked around until I spotted Damon. "Usually I'd be making out with either my boyfriend or someone on the ferris wheel, but since my boyfriend is out of town im stuck by myself." I complained making him chuckle. "So you're the next vamp on my list, D." I said and he smirked.

"Mason, what do you know about him?" he asked and I hmmed, "uhh, He's my dads brother and moved away awhile ago. We only see him on Christmas, but with him being here he's been sneaking around Dad's office looking for something." I told him shrugging and Damon nodded. "He's something, I don't know what but he is." Damon said and I nodded, "Alright."

We watched as Tyler won arm wrestle, after arm wrestle. Stefan then came up, "You're lurking." Damon then sarcastically says, "We're observing." To which Stefan says, "More like obsessing." We watched as Tyler won again, "He's got strength." Damon said and I rolled my eyes, "He's a triple letter varsity athlete, of course he has strength." I told him to which Stefan says, "You're reaching."

Uncle Mason walked up to Tyler, "I bet I can take you." Damon then mumbled, "Enter the uncle." Stefan watched amused, "This is ridiculous." I shrugged popping some cotton candy in my mouth. "I don't know Stefan, something is definitely going on." I told him and Damon motioned to me making Stefan roll his eyes. Uncle Mason beat Tyler, "Okay, he's the champ, who wants to go next?"

"Stefan wants to go, Uncle Mason!" I called out and damon agreed. "Yeah, sure, I'll...give it a shot." Stefan told us and walked over.

When Mason beat Stefan he walked back over to us, "You didn't put in any effort at all." Damon snapped, "Yeah, actually I did."Stefan mumbled back to him. "We will be back Ali." Damon told me and I shrugged pulling my phone out. I had no message from Noah nor a reply to my many texts. I sighed and slid it back in my pocket.

I walked up to Tyler and he wrapped an arm around me. "Can we leave yet? I want to get actual food soon." I said, as Tyler finished my cotton candy. "Yeah pretty soon." he told me.

When it was actually time to leave Tyler and I walked into the parking lot as someone bumps into me. I giggled, "I'm so sorry." I said as Tyler snapped, "Whatch where you're going. You okay Ali?" he asked helping me up. "Yeah fine." I said as the guy turned and spat, "You got a problem?"

"Yeah, you walked right into her." Tyler snapped, "What are you going to do about it?" the guy asked and Tyler was growing angry I knew it, "You're kidding right?" The guy pushes him. "You better back off." The guy pushes him. "You hit me again, I swear to god..." Instead of hitting him just yet he swung at me, slapping me, and I hit the ground before he punches Tyler. They start to fight as I held my face. Mason arrives. Mason pushes the guy away and stands in between the two to separate them.

"Hey Tyler! Tyler! What the hell man?" Uncle Mason snapped before seeing me on the ground, "Ali you ok?" I nodded, as Mason struggles with the guy but the guy punches him in the face twice and pushes him against a car. Mason somersaults back over the car, jumps over him and crouches on landing. His eyes are glowing yellow. Tyler and I gasped at his yellow ember eyes. "Your eyes!" Tyler called out, as Mason hits Carter; he falls on the floor. Mason then rushed us to the car to leave.

I was shocked to say the least.

After mom, uncle Mason, and Tyler have a little talk. I snuck down the stairs meeting Tyler in dad's office. I did a locator spell for the stone he's looking for. It's here in the mansion. I closed the door and Tyler and I smirked at each other before we started searching. "I think I know." I whispered and Tyler looked at me. I walked to the middle of the room and moved the carpet.

I unhinged the loose floorboard revealing the safe. I thought about the combination before doing Tyler's birthday. It opened, and I took a box from inside. "Go sis." Tyler said and I opened it revealing The moonstone Mason is looking for. I took it out and pocketed it. "He will never find it, untill we get our answers." I said and Tyler agreed as he helped me put everything back.

I laid in bed as I talked to Elena on the phone. "Wait, she turned Caroline?" I whisper yelled. "Yep. My evil twin is out here tirning people into vampires and theres nothing I can do about it." Elena said and I sighed. "Where is she now?"

"Stefan has her. I don't know what to do anymore Ali." she said and I bit my lip. "We live day by day, and try to make it normal Lena. Besides you're not alone in this." I reminded her. We said our goodnights before I hung up.

I got up and walked to my vanity. I switched the lights on, and they lit up my whole room. I flipped through the pages of my grimoire
