My phone buzzed as I looked away from my grimoire to see Klaus calling me. I raised an eyebrow as I looked at my alarm clock that read 3:00 AM.

"Do you know what time it is?" I asked giggling.
"Darling!" He called out and my giggles faded.
"You're drunk Niklaus." I tell him smiling.
"What has been going on darling?" He asked me that accent slipping off his tongue.
"There's a new hunter in town, and he went after Tyler." I say and he was lient, but I continued, "He's fine, but if I didn't jump in he'd be a goner."
"I'm on my way love." he tells me and I scrunch my face up.
"What do you mean? Klaus." I say, "Klaus!" I call out but he just says, "I'll be there in the morning darling. Sleep well." then hangs up.

I shrug and blow out the candle I lit, closing my grimoire, and turning plugging my phone in before going to bed.

I groan as a finger poked my nose, and I open my eyes seeing Klaus. "Morning darling." he says and I groan making him chuckle. I lean up and stretch, before turning to him, and I hugged him making him chuckle.

I walked downstairs as I hear, "Who the hell are you two?" I chuckle seeing him and mom, "TY, chill. They're here for your protection." I tell him and he eyed me as mom agreed. "More deputies?" He asked but as Klaus enters the room from the parlor. He has another hybrid following behind him. "Not exactly." He says and Tyler turns to him.

"They're hybrids." Tyler sighed, "I was halfway to Chicago when I heard you were attacked. I had hoped to leave Mystic Falls for good, but duty calls." Klaus says and I crossed my arms as I rolled my eyes and chewed on my bottom lip. "Nice to know you care." Tyler snarked. "I don't. I should have killed you for the little stunt you and your friends pulled. Stopping my heart, leaving me in a coffin to rot."

"Yeah, well you used my body as an escape hatch, then kissed my girlfriend. So, maybe we're even." Tyler says and I chuckled to myself. "Not even close. But, you hybrids are a dying breed. I can't make more of you, and I won't have anyone taking liberties with the ones I have left." Klaus says, and Klaus begins to walk off, "Consider them your new bodyguards." He points at the three hybrids in the room and walks out.

I smiled as I held a shopping bag and the stone face hybrid next to me grumbled the whole time. "You're the one who wouldn't let anyone protect me, you didn't have to come." I tell him as I go into another store. "If I don't, you might snark off to the wrong person and get yourself bloody burned at the stake." Klaus mumbled making me laugh.

I went over to a rack of dresses and look through them. I pulled one off and held it against me before putting it back. I turned as Klaus walked up with a cute dress making me smile. "I love it." I breathed as I raised a hand up to the fabric.

My phone buzzed and I grabbed it seeing a text from Damon.

Need your help. Come alone. Now. Please.

I typed back, 'On my way.'

I locked my phone as I looked up at Klaus. "I have to pay for these and skidattle." I say winking as I walked away from him. "Where are we going?" he asked but I hmmed, "Not we, I. Someone needs me and you need to go and baby sit my brother." I tell him smirking as I walk over to the counter. I placed the dresses and clothes on the counter but before I could pay Klaus did.

I looked around before rushing up to the RV, and I opened the door to find Damon still in Connor's trap, though she doesn't notice the arrows attaching Damon to the claymore mines right away. "Why were you being so cryptic?" I asked, "Come in. Close the door." Damon says and I froze as the door closes behind me. "Tell me that is not a bomb." I snap, "Okay. It's a kitten. It's an adorable, exploding kitten." Damon joked.

"Why didn't you call your brother?" I asked freaked out, "Because I'm proud, and stubborn, and...oh, look! You're already here." Damon says and I glare at him, Come on, you're not gonna get hurt. All I need you to do is be doctorly and cut out the arrow. I'd do it myself, but if I move..."

Damon gently touches the string attached to the arrow buried in his thigh. "Don't!" I snapped, Damon pulls his hand away and makes a soft *kabooming* noise to demonstrate his point. "Okay." I breathed and looked around.

Spotting it, I grab a knife lying on the nearby table before I moves behind Damon and puts the point of the knife next to the entry point of the arrow going through Damon's back. "Okay." I breathed. While I'm is cutting around the arrow, Damon picks up the letter from Pastor Young to April. "So, how well did you know Pastor Young?" He asked me, "Uh, he's always been here. He made a big inpact on Tyler when he was little and counseled my mom after my dad died, he's a nice guy." I tell him.

"Nice, crazy guy. He wrote a letter about sacrifice and war brewing in Mystic Falls." He says and He holds up the letter so I can skim in while I works. "What does he mean, "a greater evil is coming"? Don't we have great enough evil already?" I asked, "You'd think." Damon's phone starts to ring.

When he sees it's Elena, he ignores the call. I noticed this response, but continues working on freeing him. "How did you get stuck on hunter duty?" I asked, "Stefan had a Physics test." He said sarcastically making me chuckle and smile sympathetically, "You are a good brother." I tell him. "I'm the bad brother." He says smirking.

"You're strung up to a bomb while Stefan plays vampire with the girl who broke your heart. But, you're doing a very good job of acting like it doesn't suck." I tell him as I finish prying out the arrow as much as I can to allow Damon to remove it without the bomb exploding. "Okay, I think that should be good." I say and Damon yanks out the arrow in one swift motion and drops it on the table. We go to leave but I say, "Wait." He turns and I hug him. He chuckled and hugged me back, before the air went through my hair.

I walked into the house and sighed as I went into the study and flailed back on the couch. "You might be Aaliyah." I hear and I jump as I leaned up. "Wait.. You're Hayley?" I asked and jumped up. "That's me." she says and I chuckle, "Thank you for being there for my brother." I tell her smiling, before turning and walked out. My phone buzzed and I grabbed it seeing a text from Klaus.

'Meet me at this address. Bring your grimoire'

I raised an eyebrow at the address since its the same one from earlier. Shrugging it off I rushed upstairs grabbing my grimoire and some supplies before I went to my car. I get to the trailer and Klaus met me outside. "What's going on?" I asked. "I need you to put up a boundry spell darling." He tells me as he leads me inside.

Finishing the spell I turn and notice as the hunter wakes up on the couch in his trailer. He attempts to get up, but is pushed back down by Klaus. "You saved me." He says, "Congratulations, you just became worth more to me alive than dead." Klaus snarks, "What-what did you mean when you said I was one of the Five?" Conner asked, "You don't know your own history?" Klaus asked, and Klaus kneels down next to him. "Well, let's just say, it's made you the most well-protected vampire hunter in town." Klaus then turned to me, "Which also means darling, that you're not leaving my side. Better get used to this face." he joked smirking.
