History Repeating

I was up and out of the house before my alarm even thought about going off. I kept tossing and turning all night, like I couldn't turn my brain off. I got to school an hour before it started and started on my english paper. When it came time for classes to start, I was seated in History as everyone filed in. "Good Morning everyone. Alrighty." The new teacher wrote his name on the board 'ALARIC.'

"Alaric Saltzman. It's a mouthful, I know. Doesn't exactly roll off the tongue. Saltzman is of German origins. My family emigrated here in 1755 to Texas. I, however, was born and raised in Boston. Now the name Alaric belongs to a very dead great-grandfather I will never be able to thank enough. You'll probably want to pronounce "Alaric" but it's "Alaric," okay? So, you can call me Rick. I'm your new history teacher."

I was invited to a sleep over at Elena's with Bonnie and Caroline. They tried to get ready to prepare dinner, as I sat at the island sipping my drink. "I'm sorry. There. I said it. If you want the ugly-ass necklace, keep it. It's yours." Caroline told Bonnie, "Will you hate me if I tell you I threw it away?" Caroline grew annoyed, "You threw it away?"

"I know it sounds crazy, but the necklace was giving me nightmares. I had to get rid of it." Bonnie told her, "You could have just given it back to me." Caroline told her and I rolled my eyes interrupting, "Why? So you could give it back to Damon?"

"Screw Damon. Are we doing manicures or what? Who has their kit?" Caroline asked, "Mine's in my bag." Bonnie told her and she walked over to rifle through Bonnie's purse for the manicure kit, "So, Elena...how long do you think this fight with Stefan's gonna last? Is it...like a permanent thing?" I asked, "I don't know, Liyah." she told me sighing.Suddenly becoming angry Caoline yelled out, "Why are you such a little liar, Bonnie?"

"What?" Bonnie asked as Elena and I both called out, "Caroline!" Caroline holds up the crystal, and the three of us gape at her in shock. "I'm not lying to you, Caroline. I swear." Elena then called out, "It's true. I watched her throw it into a field!" Caroline grew frustrated. "Then explain it." Bonnie just speaks a name and we grew confused, "Emily."

"Who's Emily?" Caroline asked, "The ghost." Bonnie told her, "Oh, the ghost has a name now?" Caroline mocked making me turn to Elena who gave me the same look. "Caroline, please." Elena called out, "I wonder why she won't leave me alone." Bonnie spoke and I shrugged."What is going on? Why am I not a part of this conversation? You guys do this to me all the time." Caoline told us and I sighed, "That's not true." Elena told her and I let out a loud chuckle, "Yes it is." Bonnie then continued, "I can't talk to you. You don't listen."

"That's not true." Caroline called out and Bonnie just bluntly says. "I'm a witch." Caroline still has her attitiude as she says, "And don't we all know it?" I rolled my eyes again, "See? That's what I'm talking about. I'm trying to tell you something. You don't even hear it." Caroline just says, "I listen. When do I not listen?"-Elena and I went up to her room leaving them downstairs. "Think they'll work it out?" I asked, "Lets hope so."

When they finally came up smiling and laughing we decided to do a seance. We sat in a circle as I lit the candles with my mind making them all look at me. "Did I mention I'm also a witch?" I asked and Bonnie smiled as they laughed."What are we doing?" Bonnie asked, "I don't know." Elena answered. "Be quiet and concentrate. Close your eyes. Now take a deep breath. Bonnie. Call to her." Caroline said and we all focused.

"Emily, you there?" Bonnie asked and I opened my eyes, "Really? "Emily, you there?" That's all you got? Come on." I called out. and Bonnie just says, "Fine, geez. Emily. I call on you. I know you have a message. I'm here to listen." The candles immediately flare stronger."Did that just..." I asked smiling, "Yeah, it just happened." Caroline called out. "It's just the air conditioning." Caroline and I shared a look, "Ask her to show you a sign. Ask her. Emily, if you're among us, show us another sign." They wait a moment, but nothing happens."See? It's not working." Bonnie called out but the windows burst open, scaring us. "I can't, I'm done." Bonnie rips the necklace off and throws it on the ground next to the candles, which blow out, scaring her more. "Get the light. Please, get the light!" She called out and Elena just says, "Hold on. I got it." The lights came on and we all looked at each other, "You guys, the necklace. It's gone."

My phone rang downstairs and I shakily called out, "I uh- I have to get that." I left the room and went to get my phone seeing Tyler calling me. "Hey Ty." I said answering the phone."Hey whats the neflix password?" he asked and I chuckled, "You couldn't text me?" I asked "Okay you caught me, Dad is being a dick and I told him you wanted me to pick you up. But now im hanging up." He told me and I laughed, "Bye dork." I said and hung up as I heard screaming. "Whats going on!" I yelled running up the stairs. The doors opened and Bonnie stood there.

"I can't believe I fell for it." Caroline said and I turned to Bonnie, "Are you okay?" Bonnie only replys with, "I must go." Something isn't right. "She's leaving. I'm leaving." Caroline told us, "You guys can't leave."

"I can. I've had enough freaky fake witch stuff for one night." Caroline snapped, "Thank you for having me. I'll take it from here." Bonnie said and Elena called out "Where are you going?" To which Bonnie replied with, "Back to where it all began."

"Bonnie! Bonnie! Oh My God! Emily!" I called out and she turned to us. "I won't let him have it. It must be destroyed." Emily told us leaving, "Wait!" we called out rushing after her but the door wouldn't open. "What's happening?" Caroline asked, "I don't know. The door, it's not..." Elena trailed off as The door finally opens, and Jeremy walks in. We all scream, and Jeremy is really confused. "What the hell?"

"I'm outta here." Caroline said and I immediately call Stefan. "Aaliyah? What's wrong?" he asked, "It's Bonnie." I said, "What happened?" He asked and Elena and I shared a look as I answered him, "Emily is possessing her. She said something."

"What did she say?" Stefan asked concerned, " She said "I won't let him have it. It must be destroyed." And then she just left. I don't know what to do Stef." I told him. "Where do you think she went?" "I don't know." I said but then Elena called out, "Fell's church, by the old cemetery that's where she took Bonnie in her dreams. We have to help her, Stefan." She said taking my phone from me. "Just stay there. I'm gonna go find her." he told her and I nodded sighing.Tyler picked me up from Elenas and took me home. "You okay?" he asked but I sighed as I nodded. "Yeah." I breathed. "You sure because I haven't had to pick you up from a sleep over since you were 11." he said and I just nodded.

Instead of sleeping like one does, I was restless again. I got out of bed and made my way into Tyler's room. He looked at me from his bed and sighed scooting over. "Come on." he told me and I smiled as I climbed in next to him.
