Klaus is feverishly trying to get the piece of white oak stake out of his back. He is scratching his own flesh off, leaving the wound on his back a bloody mess. Aaliyah walks in frowning, "Klaus, we need to talk." Klaus is moaning in pain, as Aaliyah made a face, "What happened to you?"

"Silas. He attacked me. He stabbed me with the white oak stake. A piece of it-is still inside me." Klaus groans, "Oh my god, Klaus, that could kill you!" Aaliyah yelled and Klaus started laughing humorlessly, "Well, I certainly feel like I'm dying." Aaliyah reaches for Klaus' face, stroking it. When she speaks, she doesn't sound like Aaliyah, "Hey. As much as I would love to watch you die, you still haven't found me that cure."

"Silas!" Klaus pushes Aaliyah/Silas away and falls to the floor. "That's right. Last night I looked like Shane, today I look like Aaliyah, and tomorrow-who knows?" through gritted teeth Klaus says, "Show me your real face."

"Now why would I do that when I can look like whomever I want you to see?" Silas approaches and Klaus shudders in fear. "Resist me all you want, Klaus, but until you bring me the cure I will bring you nothing but misery." Aaliyah/Silas disappears and Klaus relaxes painfully.

I groaned as I walked into Klaus' mansion

I groaned as I walked into Klaus' mansion. "I got your fifty bajillion messages. This better be life and death." I called out,

"Go away." Klaus gruffly says, "Klaus? Where are you?" I called out before I find Klaus shirtless sitting on the floor, leaning on a piano seat. "What happened to you?" I asked, "I need more time. Stop hounding me!" He yells, "I'm hounding you? I'm supposed to be running three different prom committees right now and you keep phone stalking me." I yelled, "Aaliyah. Is it really you?" I look surprised, as Klaus struggles and pulls himself onto the piano seat and leans back against the piano. "Prove it to me." He says and I raised an eyebrow, "Okay, I don't know if this is some new way of flirting, but it sucks, and I have more important things to do."

I turn around and start to leave. "Wait, please. Silas. He stabbed me with the white oak stake." I turn around, "There's a-- a piece of it stuck inside me." Klaus begged, "Why would Silas attack you?" I asked, "Well, I was in no position to ask questions. Suffice it to say, I'm hurt. So you can understand why I called you." He says and I nod, "What do you want me to do?" I asked, "Well, it's quite simple, really. I need you to cut the stake out of me." Klaus looks down at a pair of bloody pliers lying on the rug. I look down at them, perturbed.

Klaus is bracing himself against the piano while I use the pair of pliers to try to dig out the white oak stake. "Oh, my god. You do have a heart." I joked, Klaus yells in pain through gritted teeth as I move the pliers in his back. "Oh, my bad. It's just a bloody rib." I say. "Well I'm glad you're finding my misery so amusing." Klaus says, "Ugh, I swear there's nothing in here. And if you think I'm having fun, you're insane." I tell him, I dig a little deeper into Klaus' back. He yells in pain and starts slamming his hand on the piano top. "I'm sorry! I'm sorry. I'm sorry. You know what?" I yank the pliers out of his back and he yells in pain. "There is nothing here!" I tell him.

"I can feel the splinters moving towards my heart." He groans out and I roll my eyes as I moved and placed my hand on his cheek. "Klaus." I whispered and he turned to me, "There is nothing there my love." I tell him and kiss him. I pull back and we remain silent for a moment. "It's gone." He says. "What?" I asked, "The pain." He reaches round to his back. "The-the pain is gone." realizing something he says, "It was-it was never there. He got in my head. Silas..." gesturing at his temple, " ...got inside my head." He takes my hands, "You took my mind off it. You brought me back, Aaliyah" Suddenly a strike of fear hit my heart, "If Silas can make you, of all people, believe that you're dying...what can he do to the rest of us?" Klaus then nodded slightly, "He won't harm you little witch, not while i'm alive."
