The Departed

I groaned as I turned seeing Tyler and Matt talking the the doorway. "T?" I asked and Tyler rushed over taking my hand. "Aaliyah what happened?" he asked and I groaned looking at the black cast on my arm. "You broke your wrist, and a couple ribs." He informed me and I groaned, "Alaric called a council meeting, and.. he hurt mom and Sheriff Forbes... he threw.. me." I whispered closing my eyes and Tyler sighed. "I know, we will find them." he mumbled as he ran a hand down my cheek.

When Meredith gave me some blood, and declared me good to go, Tyler, Caroline, and Matt took us back to the Gilbert's. Matt opens the front door. Caroline walks in behind them with her arm wrapped around Elena, helping her into the house, while Tyler kept a grip on me. "Couch." Caroline says, and Tyler takes me to the chair helping me sit. "I'm fine. I just...I want something to eat first." Elena tells them and I agree. "We're on it, as soon as we make sure no one is lurking in the closets." Tyler says and kisses my head, before Tyler and Matt walk upstairs. Caroline leads Elena to the couch. "All right, couch, now!" Caroline says, "Uhh, I told you I'm fine."

Caroline grabs a blanket off a chair and follows Elena. "Doctor says rest, you rest." Elena sits down on the couch and Caroline covers her with the blanket, before she grabbed another and covered me up. "Now, what can I get you? Do you want some tea, maybe some vodka? Both will help you sleep." Elena stares at Caroline and Caroline sits down on the couch. "I know, I'm being smothering. It's what I do." She says, "No, it's-it's nice." I then speak up, "I'm thinking-maybe tea with vodka." We all laugh and Caroline gets up. I close my eyes and drift off.

"Wait Kena!" I yelled as I chases the little girl through the meadows as she let out a melodic giggle. "Come on mommy! You're going to miss it!"

I opened my eyes smiling as Tyler who shook me, "I have to go." he tells me and kissed my head, letting me fall back asleep.

"McKena, what have I told you about playing nice." I joked as she giggled holding the girls hand next to her, "But Hope is my sister Mommy, she's allowed to play rough! Like you and dad! We're witches mom, we can handle ourselves!"

I groaned as I looked around, as Elena wakes up in the passenger's seat. Matt is driving them away from Mystic Falls. "What's going on?" I asked, "It's the only way I was gonna get you in this truck." Matt told us, "The tea. You drugged me?" Elena asked, "I'm sorry, Elena, but you're right, okay. You don't have any parents to tell you what's right or wrong, you've got me, Tyler, and Jeremy and a bunch of vampires fighting a war you shouldn't be in the middle of." Matt told us.

"What the hell is going on, Matt?" I asked leaning up, "I'm getting you both out of town. It's the only way to keep you safe." He told us, "We're both Doppelgangers Matt, they will go to no end to find us." I tried but he shook his head, "it's the only way."

Matt is on the phone with Jeremy, "Got it, Jer." He hangs up. "We have to go back. Listen to me, Matt, if Klaus is the one that turned their bloodline, then they're all gonna die." Matt doesn't respond. ELena then shouts, "We have to go back, Matt!"Matt then turned to her, "Elena."

"What?!" She asked, "Damon's not with them." He says, "What?" I asked, "He's a hundred miles out of town. I can keep driving to him or I can turn around and go back to Stefan. It's your choice." She grabs her phone to make a call as I kept checking my phone, as she called Damon.

My phone buzzed and I grabbed it seeing Caroline calling me, "Hey Care." I say answering it. "A-Aaliyah." she says and I raise an eyebrow, "Care?" I asked, "He's gone Aaliyah. Klaus is dead and Tyler is gone." My heart dropped, "What." I breathed, as my phone fell, and Elena picked it up. "It's Tyler, he um...he's..." Elena says, "Damn it!" Matt yelled. Matt begins to choke up and gets angry. He starts hitting his fist against the seat. "Damn it, damn it, damn it!" Matt yelled as I started to sob into Elena's shoulder. "Matt, Matt! No. Stop it." Elena yelled, "This isn't how our lives were supposed to be, Elena."

Elena has her phone out, and mine, "I need to call Stefan, but our phones are dying." Matt pulls out his phone. "Here. Use mine." Matt hands over his phone as they drive towards the Wickery Bridge. "Thanks." Elena looks up and sees a figure standing in the middle of the road. "Matt, look out!" I yelled, as Matt swerves to avoid her and sends the truck flying over the guardrail and into the water.

I tried to shake Matt, as the truck filled with water. "What do we do." Elena asked as we struggled for air. "Hold my hand?" I asked and she took it as he held on to each other for life as the car filled with water more and more.

I shot up and coughed as spit water all over. Stefan fell back on his butt as he sighed. "What the hell happened?" I mumbled out. "They're dead." He mumbled, "You're the only one who survived." More tears came to my eyes as I started sobbing. "Take me to their house please Stef. Jeremy, I have to see him." I say and Stefan nods, as the ambulance comes. He picks me up and flashes.

He sets me on my feet before he leaves, I knock on the door and Jeremy opened it. "Jer." I breathed and he pulled me into a hug as we both started crying.
