After promising over and over to Klaus that I'd be safe he let me go to Italy to be with my family, but everyone else thinks I'm in Paris. Carina and I danced to the loud music, my amulet from Celia shining in the lights. "It's our last night together sorella! let loose a little!" she tells me as a guy tried to come dance with us. I laughed as he twirled me, but suddenly he tried to feed on me. He coughed as he pulled back and fell to the ground choaking. Carina rushed over to me as her friend took care of the man, and pulled me away as the bite mark started to heal from the magic in the necklace. "Are you okay?" she asked repeatedly and hugged me. "I'm fine Carina." I promised her.

Carina and Shandrell both hugged me tightly, "Now go on Little one, and make me proud." Shandrell says, her accent she picked up over the years rolling off her tongue. "I will, I promise." I started to unpack my things, in my dorm I share with Caroline and Elena. The girls walked in and I squealed as we all group hugged. "Oh my god! Aaliyah you look amazing!" Elena says making me smile. "Yeah, how has it been hiding a pregnancy for three months?" Caroline asked making me chuckle. "It's been good, At least you guys know now!" I exclaimed giggling, "Yeah after a month in Paris!" Elena says, "Yeah, who is the mystery guy?" Caroline asked, but I changed the subject, "DO we have a plan on where to put the small appliances?" I asked referring to my mini fridge, "Id rather keep my stuff away from the blood stash, no offense."

The more we unpacked and organized, the more we were laughing and joking. "You brought a panini press?" I asked laughing, "Small appliances, by the fridge." Caroline says as Elena puts it where she tells her, Liz carries a box into the room. "Okay, that's the last one. All right, give me a goodbye hug before I change my mind and drag you home with me."

Caroline hugs her mother, Liz then tearful says, "You can call as much as you want, you know?" Caroline smiles, "Mom, we'll be fine." Liz laughs and steps back and faces to me and Elena "Come here." We hugged for a good minute, "This is where your dad fell in love with medicine, you know? He would be really proud to see you here." She tells Elena, "Thank you." Liz lingers for a long moment while they all look at each other, and the girls laugh.

"Okay, go! Before I change my mind and make you stay." Caroline says, "I'm going, I'm going! I love you. Bye, girls." Liz leaves and closes the door behind her. The girls turn to each other excitedly. "So? Roomies, I think we should drink to something.""Well, I couldn't agree more...roomie." Caroline opens her suitcase and pulls out two blood bags; she tosses one to Elena. I got a bottle of water and held it up, "To us, and college, and being functional vampires." Caroline starts, "To the next chapter in our lives." I say, "To our niece or nephew!" Elena adds, They "clink" their bags in a mock toast when there's a knock at the door. With vampire speed, they stash their blood bags and turn to face whoever the visitor is. The door opens and an unfamiliar girl walks in, carrying a load of stuff.
I causiously sip my water as the girl says. "Hey." Caroline then asked, "Uh, who are you?" The girl smiled, "Oh, I'm Megan. Your roommate." Me, Elena and Caroline look at each other, shocked and confused.

Megan walks and talks with Me, Elena and Caroline on the campus.

"So, your current boyfriend, Damian–" Megan starts, "Damon." Elena corrects, "–is your ex's brother." Elena nods, "Stefan."

Megan contuned, "You and Stefan are friends, but three months ago he left without saying goodbye?" Elena turned to her, "Do you think that I should call him?" Megan and Caroline respond in unison. "No way." "Absolutely not!"Megan turned to Caroline, "Do you have a boyfriend, Caroline?" Caroline smiled, "I do. His name's Tyler." I chimed in, "My older brother." with a wink, "He had to miss move-in day, but he'll be here for the first day of classes." I nodded, "Assuming he registers. And picks a dorm. And buys books.""Speaking of minding one's own business, let's talk roommate ground rules. Privacy is very important to me." Caroline says, "Same here." Megan tells her, "I have low blood sugar. My diet's finicky, so keep your paws off my stuff." Caroline says. "We'll split up the shelves." Megan agrees, "And if I suddenly get up to leave or disappear for a while, don't follow me or look for me." Caroline tells her, "Okay...sounds good.""Great, then we agree on everything." I tell them cheering, Another student approaches them with a flyer. "Excuse me, ladies. Party at Whitmore House tonight." No one says anything while Caroline looks at the flyer he handed her.
