I jogged down the stairs to leave for Elena's when Noah stood by the door. "I'm still not talking to you." I said and he sighed latching onto my arm pulling me back. "Let me explain please." He said and I took my arm back. "You ignored me for weeks Noah, Weeks." I said and he nodded. "I know and I'm sorry. I'll explain why and more just please get in the car." He tried to beg.

"Is there a problem here Aaliyah?" I heard and turned seeing Uncle Mason. "No uncle Mason." I said and turned back to Noah, "Fine." I told him and he smiled as he led me to the car. Mason glared at him, and it looks could kill he'd be six feet under. Noah opened my door and I went in the car.

Noah drove for a bit before going off road and into the woods. He parked and got out, and flashed over to help me out. We walked through the woods and got to a clearing, as he spoke, "this is where I grew up. It was way because Damon and Stefan were born, and werewolves were free to turn around the woods." I held tightly as e guided me over a fallen tree.

"I lived in a small village, and my mother was very sick so I had to take care of her often. When she finally passed I was beside myself with grief until I met someone who turned me. We were friends, partners in crime really. I was out of town seeing him, and I ignored you because I tried to protect you from him." He explained and I sat on a log.

"Why protect him from me?" I asked. He sighed, "Elijah is a challenging man, he's wise in all his years a vampire, but the Lockwood's have crossed him multiple times before. Keeping you safe and happy is what matters to me most." He said and I smiled softly.

"Being away from you so long.. it opened my eyes." He said and walked over sitting next to me. Noah took my hand, and intertwined our fingers, "Made me realize I love you." He said making me blush. "I love you too." I said and we kissed.

Pulling back he cupped my cheek, "In all my 300 years of being a vampire I've never been as in love as I am now." He said and kissed my lips again.

Pulling back he sighed frowning again. "Except protecting you also means I have to tell you about Kathrine." He said and I raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean Noah?" I asked. "She's manipulative, and dangerous Liyah." He said but before he could explain my phone buzzed.

I grabbed it ignoring a call from Elena as he continued. "I met her in the roaring 20s when she was in hiding from someone. She used me and made me think she loved me but she left me after she got what she wanted. She tried to kill me, Aaliyah. She's dangerous and her manipulative skills are deadly." He said and I nodded as I continued to listen.

"Elena looks like Katherine because she's part of the Petrova bloodline. Katerina Petrova was an innocent girl who stole the moonstone from a man named Niklaus. He went on a rampage and sought out to find her. Only she tricked two people into helping her, and she killer herself turning into a vampire. See Klaus needs a doppelgänger to perform some ritual. He kills them Liyah and we can't let him get the moonstone."

"How would he?" I asked, "Maybe Kathrine is trying to get it to bargain her freedom? Who know but Ali, the Moonstone was last seen in two places. One, in the Lockwood's possession" Noah said hesitant. "And the other?" I asked him, "In your necklace." He answered and I gasped slightly shocked.

"You have to protect both at all cost Liyah. Find the stone and don't let anyone have it." He told me and I turned to my back pulling out a box from the bottom. I opened it pulling out the stone. "Where'd you get that?" he asked concerned. "My uncle is looking for it. Tyler and I found it." I said and Noah sighed. "I can keep it safe Noah. I promise." I said and he nodded

Noah and I spent all day talking, and then I was on the phone for an hour with Elena apologizing for not coming over.

Noah dropped me off, and I smiled to myself as I walked inside. "Do you know what time it is?" I heard and jumped seeing Mason in a chair. "Holy.. you scared the hell out of me." I said chuckling. Mason kept a stone look on his face unamused. "I don't like him." He said and I rolled my eyes. "Good thing you're not staying around." I said and went for the stairs. "What's that supposed to mean?" He asked snapping getting up beating me to the stairs.

"It means you're not my father Mason. Don't act like it. My father loved him." I said scoffing. "That's only because he didn't know what he was." He said and I froze before turning back to him. "What are you talking about?" I asked playing dumb.

"Don't play dumb Aaliyah, I know that you know everything." He said scoffing at me and I sighed. "Fine. Yes, I know everything." I told him, "I know you're a werewolf, and that Noah is a vampire. I know about witches and everything else. I know how you trigger your curse to, and that Tyler is asking questions about it. I know Damon tried to kill you to prove you're a wolf, I know everything." I said and he was in such a state of shock that I just turned and went to my room. I closed the door behind me and sighed sliding down it.

I slid the Moon stone out of my pocket as I ran my thumb over the smoothness of it.
