Kill or Be Killed

Today is the Mystic Falls Historical Society Volunteer day. Mom signs me up every year, not that I mind anyway. It keeps me busy, but I signed Noah up to.

Noah stood next to me as I sat on the back of a truck, "This is all part of the historical society, continuing efforts to give back to the community. Thanks to the generous donation of the Fell family. We are now standing on the sight of our newest public park. Thank you to everyone who has shown up today to lend a helping hand. Thanks." Mom said and Noah helped me jump down as we started to help.

"Aliyah!" I heard and turned seeing Uncle Mason, "Come help." I smiled and nodded following him into the woods. "Wonderful, trash duty." I said sarcastically and he chuckled. "Between you and your mom I though you'd love helping." he said and I shrugged as I helped pick up trash. "Dad's the one who really got my mind into the founders stuff. I just fell in love with it." I told him and he chuckled.

"I'll never forget the day he invited me over to introduce you. He called me and said 'Come meet our new family member she's cute and adorable. I'm not gonna lie I thought he was talking about a dog." he said and I laughed loudly. "But I came over and you looked at me with those brown eyes and told me Hi and I instantly knew you'd fit in. Tyler was only 11 and the most over protective thing I ever seen."

I smiled widely to myself as I then looked up seeing Damon. "Damon?" I asked and Mason leaned up. "Aaliyah." Stefan said and I jumped turning, "Whats going on Stefan?" I asked, as Damon smirked at Mason. "Don't look so surprised. You knew this was inevitable. Go ahead, run. I'll give you a head start." Stefan tried to get me away, but as Mason bends down. Suddenly shots ring out, hitting Damon and Stefan. They both fall to the ground, as I gasp backing up hitting a tree. Liz and some of her deputies arrive.

"What the hell is going on!" I yelled, but Sheriff Forbes just says, "Thank you, Mason." She injects Damon and Stefan with vervain, and turns to me. "I'm sorry you had to see this Aaliyah." I just played dramatic. "YOU SHOT THEM. What is going on!" I said and she shook her head and they took them away. I turned to Mason, "What did you do!"

He just followed Liz, the deputies, and Stefan and Damon showing them to a place. "Noah!" I yelled and he was next to me in a flash. "Whats wrong?" he asked pulling me to him. "She shot Stefan and Damon, I need you to stop them." I told him and he nodded. "If I do I need you to stay out of this." He said and I sighed, "Alright, let me show you where their going." I told him and he followed me as I ran towards the old Lockwood ruins.

I was met by Elena and Caroline, as we ran up. "I'm so sorry Elena. I didn't know what was going on." I said and she sighed, "It's okay youre okay right?" she asked and I nodded. I then turned to Caroline who looked frozen, "Caroline. Caroline, what is it?" Elena asked, "My mom. She's killing them." Caroline said and we both beamed at her, "What?!" Elena starts motioning forward but Caroline grabs her arm. ", no, no, no!"

"We have to stop her!" Elena called out, "No, I can't. Elena, she's gonna find out about me. Elena!" Caroline called out and looked at me. "Noah." I said and he vamp flashed after her.

Caroline then rushed in and I ran after her as she said, "Hi mom." The dead deputies on the ground with blood everywhere

Later, when Damon and Stefan are now awake. Damon is feeding on one of the deputies and then he checks on Stefan. Elena is sitting with Stefan. Caroline and Liz are sitting quietly in different parts of the cell.

"I have to get back out there, or my mom will go crazy." I said and Damon smiled softly. "Good work today Li." He said and I smiled as Noah then escorted me out.

We got back towards my mom who smiled at us. "Get the woods taken care of?" she asked. "Yes Mrs. Lockwood." Noah said and I rolled my eyes smiling as he charmed her. "Mama, I'm not feeling well, and Noah is going to take me home." I told her and she smiled at me, "Alright honey, be careful." she said and I nodded as Noah lead me to his car.

We got inside and I sighed loudly, "That was close."

I came back to my room after showering and getting pajamas on. I went to my bag checking the box for the stone but it wasn't there. I rushed over to Tyler's room and said, "Wheres the stone?" I whisper yelled. "I gave it to Mason." he said and walked away from me. "Damn it." I mumbled.
