Friday Night Bites

Today I woke up before my alarm. That didn't stop me from laying in bed until it went off. I got up and dressed before going to school with my brother. Tyler and I walked up to Matt, as he was throwing a ball back and forth. "Look there's Elena and her new Boyfriend I wonder what there doing oh yeah there walking and walking and walking yup right into the sunset" Tyler said "Your a dick" Matt said back. Tyler and I chuckled, "What am I supposed to do Ty she made her choose" Matt asked. "Let her know she made the wrong one" Tyler said and grabbed the ball Matt was throwing back and forth with a guy

"Ty Dont Ty Ty!" Matt tried to stop him but it was too late Tyler threw the ball at Stefan

"Oh Tyler" i groaned as the ball flew in the air. In a flash Stefan turned and caught the ball before it hit him in the face He smiled and threw it back. Tyler caught it with a groan

I smirked and giggled as the bell rang  and we went to History. "World war II ended in...Anyone got anything? Ms Lockwood?" I just called out "1945." without even looking up.

"Pearl Harbor." Tanner called out. "Miss Gilbert?" Elena looked up with a 'Hmm?'

"Pearl Harbor?" Elena hesitated not knowing the answer "December 7, 1941." Stefan said and I looked up as Tanner called out "Thank you, Miss Gilbert." Stefan nodded "Anytime."

"Very well. The fall of the Berlin wall." Tanner called out and Stefan just says "1989. I'm good with dates, sir." Tanner look intrigued as he said "Are you? How good? Keep it to the year. Civil Rights Act."

"John F. Kennedy assassination."

"Lincoln."

"Roe vs. Wade."

"Brown vs. Board."

"The battle of Gettysburg."

"1950 to 1953."

"Ha! It ended in '52." Tanner called out like it was a contest.

I scoffed and called out "Uh, actually, sir, it was '53."

Tanner looked at me before turning and walking back to his desk calling out "Look it up, somebody. Quickly." Someone just says "It was 19...53."

After school I changed into my practice clothes and tied my hair back into a high ponytail with a maroon bow. I waited around delaying practice until Caroline showed. I rolled my eyes not waiting anymore. "Alright guys! Its good to be back for the year. If you don't know I'm Aliyah Lockwood, your captain for all extents and purposes. Let's start with the double pike herkey hurdler, what do you say? And 5, 6, 7, 8. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8. You guys are doing great!" I smiled watching everyone when Caroline finally showed. "Finally" I said and she rolled her eyes. It was silent until she called out "Elena, sweetie, why don't you just observe today? Ok? Keep going! Ok. Do it again from the top. And 5, 6, 7, 8. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8." Elena looked at me and I mouth 'Sorry.'

Before the game started we had this huge bonfire. Except after I did my bits as captain and our cheers. I was in the back with Jeremy as we shared a bottle of Jack. Well he drank it mostly, but I had a couple gulps here and there. We were laughing over a joke one of the guys told us when we hear "Wait, no! Ty! No. Leave them alone." I looked up and gulped as Tyler called out "Oh, what do you care? ... What the hell Aliyah." He jerked me away from the truck and I stumbled over my white keds. "Let me go Ty!" I said and jerked away from him, as he turned to Jeremy. "Don't look so down. You can have Vickie when I'm done." I then gasped as Jeremy punched him.

The two began to fight and the bottle of Jack, Jeremy and I were sharing, fell to the ground breaking. "Tyler stop!" I called out trying to break it up, but ending up getting elbowed in the face. I groaned holding my cheek, as I backed up, and Matt came over calling out "Tyler, stop it! Tyler! Tyler, stop! Stop it! Stop, you're hurting him! Tyler! Tyler, stop! Tyler! Stop it! Tyler, stop!" He fought and got out of Matt's grip before Matt came over to me.

"Are you okay?" He asked and I sighed nodding. "It's just a bruise I'll be fine" I said. Turning back to my brother, as Stefan grabs Tyler's wrist. "Hey, he's down! Enough!" I watched as Tyler punches Stefan, but sees that it has no effect on Stefan. He looks scared. and I raised an eyebrow. Jeremy grabs a broken glass bottle and strikes at Tyler, who moves out of the way and he cuts Stefan's hand instead. "Jeremy, no!

Elena called out, before Matt turned grabbing Tyler again "Tyler, knock it off! Stop!"

Tyler jerked away and then turned to me before walking away. "What the hell, Jeremy? Put your head up, you're bleeding." Elena called out, but Jeremy just snapped "I'm fine!" Elena chuckled sarcastically "Yeah, you smell fine." I sighed turning to Matt. "I gotta run after him" I told him and turned running after my brother. "Ty! Tyler!" I called out and turned to see him hitting the car. "I have a game to play" He said and walked away. I groaned and threw my hands up. "Ali?" I heard and turned to see a shaken up Bonnie. "Hey Bon." I said and she just asks "You want a ride home?" I smiled and asked "Please."
