Under Control

I caught up with Elena as she sighed, "You'll never guess who showed up this morning." She told me and I chuckled. "Oh no." I mumbled as we walked into school. "He said his trip is open ended." Elena told me and I grimaced. "Creepy Uncle John, I never really liked that guy." I said and she chuckled, "Does anyone?"

"Well, I'm here for moral support if you need me. I NEED out of that house. My mother is suffocating." I told her and she smiled, "Thanks, I think I'll suffer this one alone." I shrugged, "Can I tell my mom I'm at yours? I'm trying to go on a magic endives trip all week after school." I asked and she nodded, "Sure. Shouldn't be a problem. There's Matt." She said leaving me and I turned towards my locker spotting Noah texting on his phone.

"Texting your girlfriend?" I teased opening my locker. "Yeah, she's a complicated 5"6 brunette who didn't call me back last night." He joked and I rolled my eyes smiling. "I was busy comforting my brother. He acts like this Vickie stuff doesn't bother him but it's torn him up some what. Using a little truth serum I got him to open up finally." I said and he sighed locking his phone.

"We still on today? I'm taking you to the abandoned house and you're practicing?" He asked and I nodded, "Yup. After cheer, and you're taking me dress shopping for the founders party." I said as the bell rang. "Gotta go." I told him, "If Goddard finds me late again I'm getting wrote up." I said and he kissed me before I turned and left closing my locker.

I sighed as I walked out of the dressing room to see Noah sitting in a chair. "What about this one?" I asked and anxiously ran a hand through my hair. "You look beautiful." Noah said getting up and walking over to me.

"I can look it all I want Noah, I wanna feel beautiful." I said and he smirked kissing my cheek. "Let me bring you something." He said and I nodded going back to the dressing room.

I undressed as I did a little breathing technique. A small knock came and a dress was flipped over the top of the stall. I smiled at it before taking it and trying it on.

I walked out and smiled widely in the mirror before turning to Noah who looked at me breathless. This is the one.

My hair fell stick straight as I checked my makeup. I applied lip gloss and smacked my lips. I sighed tugging my skirt down as I looked at myself in my full body mirror.

I turned and walked out of my room finding my dad first who smiled at me. "Too much?" I asked and he chuckled. "No honey you're beautiful." He said and I smiled as he hugged me. "Let's greet the peasants." I joked as Tyler walked out making him scoff and wrap an arm around me. "My kids." Mom said coming to us smiling.

My family was downstairs of the founders hall, where dad started to greet everyone. I smiled at my reflection before getting a text.

I'm here

I smiled and walked downstairs as the hall filled with people finding Noah in a suit. I walked up and he kissed my hand before pulling me to him. I lead him to my mom and dad who smiled at me. "Mama, daddy, this is Noah Haskins, my boyfriend." I introduced him and he shook hands with dad and smiled charming my mom. "It's great to meet you Noah." Mom told him and Dad glared at him. "Treat her right." He snapped at her and I called out "Daddy!" As mom shot him a look.

The music picked up pace, as Noah dragged me to the dance floor making me laugh loudly. He twirled me and brought me back in close as we danced to the upbeat music.

Noah has to handle business so I grabbed a glass of vodka and little cranberry and snuck away.

I made it to the balcony as I chugged it leaving a little left as I over heard the conversations.

John: Part of the story, yeah.
Damon: Oh, there's more?
John: Oh, there's a lot more. See, it seems there was a tomb under the church, where vampires were hidden, waiting for someone to come along and set them free. But then you already knew that didn't you? I mean, you're the one that did it.
Damon: And you're telling me this why?
John: I just thought we get the introductions out of the way.
Damon: You know that I could rip your throat out before anyone would notice?
John: Yeah.
Damon: Yeah, okay. But you probably ingest vervain so...
John: Why don't you take a bite to find out?
Damon (smiling): It's not worth my time.

I 'stumbled' out faking being drunk. "Aaliyah." Damon mumbled walking over faking concern. "S-Sorry. I must of had too must. Don't tell my parents." I fake slurred. "Let's get you inside." Damon said but then turned to John.

They look at each other and smile. Damon starts to leave but he rushes towards John, breaks his neck, and throws him off the balcony.

I quickly acted fine, and smacked his arm. "What the hell Damon!" I whisper yelled. "Come on let's go." He said ushering me inside, "Nice call on the dramatics." He joked making me smirk, "What can I say, I'm an actress." I joked.

I split off from Damon and found Noah again. "Where'd you go off to?" I asked smiling. "Family calling." He said and tucked hair behind my ear.

Suddenly hearing yelling and commotion I turned and walked off finding Tyler on top of Matt punching him. "TYLER!" I yelled rushing over trying to push him off but he pushed me back. Noah caught me and I sighed turning and rushing into the party finding my dad. "Daddy, it's Tyler." I said and turned rushing out as he followed me outside.

Alaric pulled Tyler off of Matt and dad took over. "Aaliyah take your brother and get cleaned up." He said and I nodded. Tyler let me take his hand and pull him into the party and upstairs into the bathroom. "Hey look at me." I said and cupped his cheek. My brother looked into my eyes and I smiled. "You okay?" I asked and turned grabbing a wash rag from the sink running it under the cold water. I rung it out and placed it on the side of his face.

"Focus on me." I whispered and he closed his eyes tightly and I smiled softly. "Im right here Ty." I said and put the rag down. He hugged me and I smiled hugging him back, "Dads gonna kick your ass." I said making us both crack up laughing.

I left with Noah before the party ended, as he took me to an abandoned house. I looked around and the candles lit up. "So much energy. I can feel it." I mumbled as I placed my hand on the wall and closed my eyes. I heard the whispers and chuckled turning back to Noah. "How'd you find this place?" I asked, "exploring." He told me and I nodded sighing.

When we got back home, we sat in my room. "The Miss Mystic pageant is coming up. Be my escort?" I asked and he chuckled. "Only if you do me a favor." He said and I raised an eyebrow. He grabbed something from his pocket holding up a beautiful locket. "Wear this."

"It's beautiful Noah." I said smiling and turning lifting my hair. He clipped it around my neck and kissed around the base of my neck. I turned and he smiled brightly.
