I walked down the stairs slowly as I heard pounding on the door. I groaned seeing Alaric, "Hello Aaliyah, Goodnight Aaliyah." he says and hits me, making everything go black.

I came to and groaned as I looked around. I saw Alaric and then saw Caroline whimpering. I went to move and speak, but I was restricted with duct tape, and tape over my mouth. Alaric came over and tried to grab my necklace but he jumped back hissing in pain. I chuckled and he slapped me. He froze listening, "Right on time."

He sits at his desk, as Elena walks in and sees me, before spotting Caroline. She turns to Alaric, "Let her go, Alaric!" ELena yelled, as she points towards Caroline, "Free her yourself." he says. Elena and Alaric stare at each other. Then, Elena cautiously walks over to Caroline. She gets down and strokes Caroline's arm soothingly. She starts to gently pull the pencil out of one of Caroline's hands, but Alaric comes up and slams the pencil back down into her hand. Caroline screams and Elena gets up. "You said that you would let her go!" Elena yelled, "How many times do I have to tell you, Elena? Stop trusting vampires!" Alaric yelled.

I slumped in the chair, as Elena rushed over to me and checked my head seeing blood. "Stay awake." she urged but my head bobbed and I was out.

---

I felt the wind in my hair, and I looked up seeing Klaus. "My my darling, you seem to always get yourself in to trouble." he joked making me chuckle, "Gotta see who saves me each time. I should take a toll." I tell him making him smirk. "Plus I can't die, you gave me your word I'd get answers." I said softly making him chuckle, "I did, didn't I?" he asked as I sighed falling asleep against his chest.

--

I groaned as I held my head and leaned up from the bed. "Tyler." I whispered looking around but nobody came. I wobbled as I walked to my bathroom before getting in the shower. I put new clothes on and went to go down the stairs, but I stopped freezing as I heard my mom talking. "I'll get it!" Mom opens the front door and lets Sheriff Forbes in, "Carol, what's so urgent that you called an emergency council meeting at this hour?" Liz says, "I didn't call the meeting, Liz." Mom tells her and I watch from the balcony as they walk towards the living room together. "He did."

I put a hand over my mouth to slow my breathing as Alaric stood in the room with all of the other council members. "Join us, Sheriff. I was just telling the council about our vampire problem. Or should I say your problem." He says, "What do you think you're doing?" Liz asked, "Well, perhaps you and the Mayor can enlighten the group on the strides you've taken to eliminate the issue. Oh, that's right, you haven't. You see the Sheriff, a woman we elected to keep our families safe and town secure, has a vampire for a daughter." The council members gasp and look at her. "And our lovely Mayor, a son who is half-vampire, half-werewolf. Her daughter is a witch." Alaric told them.

"Why are you doing this?" Mom asked, "These women are hypocrites. They claim to spearhead our defense against the supernatural presence, than cover up the violent attacks committed by their children." Alaric says, "That's enough. We're done here. It's time to go." Liz starts to leave, but Alaric rushes to the doorway and blocks her way out. The Council members seem surprised by Alaric's speed. "Sit down, Liz. We're just getting started."

I grab my phone and pull up Damon's contact, only typing 1 word before Alaric stood in front of me. "Hello Aaliyah." he says and I looked up smirking, "Alaric." I speak as I go to hold my hand out, but my magic is muted. I pat my neck, but my necklace is missing. "Looking for this?" he asked holding the chain. His face turned as I tried to fight my way out, until he flung me over the railing.
