Breakups

CAROLINES POV
We finished skiing and snowboarding for today. Vermont was a lot of fun. It was different from Seattle. Brandon was in Seattle. I hated him. He went to a party and hooked up with another girl, and practically made a sex tape about it on Snapchat. Someone from school sent it to me. I wouldn't have even told anyone but Maeve found out because Julia's older brother is in the same grade as me and my mom accidentally saw my texts. I need to end it. I want to do it over text. I don't owe him an explanation right? I mean he cheated on me.
"Caroline," Maeve said as I was pacing her bedroom in our cabin.
"Yeah?" I said.
"Send the text," she said.
"Okay," I said and sat down next to her.
"Hi Brandon, I'm really sorry but I can't forgive you. I've tried to cope with it and deal with it over the past few days but I can't. What you did was unforgivable and I'm sorry but I can't continue like this. We're done," I hit send and shut my phone off.
"You okay?" Maeve asked.
"Yeah," I nodded as I could feel myself fighting back tears.
"Caroline," she said and hugged me as I started crying.
"I loved him so much," I cried.
"I know you did," Maeve said, "but look at me."I looked at her and she smiled.
"You're very pretty and very smart. You'll find someone even better next time. You don't need him. You're too good for him anyway," maeve said. She was the best little sister I could ask for.
"Thank you," I said. The bedroom door opened and I froze.
"Hey do you guys wanna," my dad started and then he froze, "Caroline what's wrong?" Maeve walked out and my dad sat down next to me.
"Are you okay?" He asked.
"Did mom tell you?" I asked.
"Tell me what? No," he said.
"Great," I sniffled.
"What's going on?" He said.
"Brandon slept with another girl," I said.
"Oh Caroline," he said and hugged me, "want me to beat him up?" I chuckled and we both laughed.
"I love you honey," he said, "you'll find someone who deserves you. I promise."
"Thanks dad, I love you too," I said. My mom knocked on the open door and I looked up at her.
"Logan and Lucas want to have a family snowball fight outside. I know you're upset but you're coming outside," my mom said and hugged me, "don't let him ruin the rest of our time here."
"I broke up with him," I said.
"I'm proud of you," my mom said, "it'll be okay."
AMELIAS POV
I feel so bad for Caroline. She was heartbroken. I know she loved him so much. He was her first boyfriend. I didn't want her to mope around and ruin the rest of our trip. We all put on our snow clothes and ran outside. Logan and Lucas begged Owen and I to have a snowball fight. I felt something hit my back and I turned around and saw Owen.
"Hey," I joked as I threw one back.
"You throw like a girl," he joked as I threw another one.
"Shut up," I laughed.
"Daddy heads up!!!" Logan said and threw one at Owen.
"Why don't we just gang up on dad," Maeve laughed and threw one too.
"I like this idea," I said. I looked over at Caroline and she chuckled.
"You okay?" I asked.
"Yeah," she nodded, "it'll be okay."
"I love you," I said.
"I love you too mom," she said.
"Hey!" Lucas said and threw a snowball at us. I laughed as we all started throwing snowballs at each other. This was so much fun.
OWENS POV
"You think Caroline will be okay?" I asked Amelia. We were in the kitchen making coffee.
"Yeah," Amelia said. The boys were getting ready for bed since we were skiing one more day tomorrow. I put my hands on Amelia's hips  and kissed her neck.
"I love you," I said.
"I love you too," she said. I kissed down her neck and she leaned back into me. I ran my hand up her shirt and she giggled. She turned around and kissed me passionately as I lifted her up onto the counter. I pulled her closer to me as we started making out. She pulled back and looked at me.
"Let's go upstairs," she smiled as she got off the counter and I chased her upstairs. I locked the door behind me and I picked her up and put her down on the bed. She giggled as I pulled her shirt over her head.
"I have an idea," I said.
"Okay," she chuckled as she sat up. I grabbed the handcuffs out of the end table and her eyes widened.
"How'd you get these on the plane?" She laughed as she grabbed them from me.
"No idea," I chuckled.
"Hm," she smiled and opened them, "this could be fun."
"Mhm," I said as I kissed her passionately.

Amelia was laying next to me and I smiled.
"I love you," I said and kissed her.
"I love you too," she smiled. There was a knock on the door and we both looked at each other.
"One second!" Amelia said as we both scrambled to find clothes and she ran into the bathroom. I got dressed and opened the door to Maeve.
"Hey what's up?" I said.
"Can you get mom?" She said.
"Yeah," I said, "everything okay?"
"Can you just get her please?" Maeve begged. I nodded and knocked on the bathroom door.
"Yeah?" Amelia said as she opened the door and pulled her hair up.
"Maeve needs you," I said.
"Okay," she said as she walked down the hallway. I figured it was about Caroline.
AMELIAS POV
"She's like you," Maeve said.
"What?" I said as we walked downstairs.
"Well when you're upset and don't say anything," Maeve said, "that's what she's doing right now." We got to the bottom of the stairs and Caroline was sitting on the back deck staring out.
"How long as she been out there?" I asked.
"Half an hour," Maeve said. I grabbed my jacket and Carolines as I opened the back door.
"Hey," I said. She didn't move as I closed the door behind me.
"Caroline," I said. She looked over at me and her eyes were all red from crying.
"Honey it's cold out put a jacket on," I said softly and handed her the jacket.
"Thanks," she said quietly as she put it on. I sat down next to her and we sat in silence for a little while. After a while I figured I should try to get something out of her.
"You get this from me," I said quietly, "I either talk everything to death or don't say a word, and it drives your father crazy." She didn't say anything else and I frowned.
"I know you don't want to talk about it, but bottling it all up and sitting out here in the freezing cold isn't going to help," I said.
"He was so quick to get with someone else the second I was gone," she said. My heart broke for her.
"He knew I didn't want to have sex," She said, "well I mean I kinda did but I was scared. I didn't want to for a long time. I told him when I was ready we could, and I'm still not ready. It was important to me and he knew that, and the second I leave town he went and had sex with someone else." I put my arm around her as she leaned into me and cried.
"Well I'm proud of you for not compromising what you felt comfortable with for him," I said and rubbed her back, "you don't owe him anything."
"Mom she was so pretty," Caroline cried.
"You're pretty too Caroline," I said, "don't ever forget that."
"It's not fair," she said.
"It's not," I said.
"I thought he was the one. He came to logan and Lucas' sports games. He played Minecraft with them. He visited dad at the hospital. He brought flowers. He asked about you when you got shot. He went on a double date with Maeve and Julia when he didn't have to. He helped Logan practice for his basketball games and ate ice cream with us," she cried. I hugged her tightly as I started crying.
"Why are you crying?" She chuckled as she looked at me.
"Because you deserve so much more and I hate seeing you like this," I said.
"What if I don't find someone," she said.
"You will," I said.
"What if I don't?" She said.
"I said the same thing until I met your father," I said, "I dated plenty of boys before him, and you will too." She put her head on my shoulder as we looked at the snow.
"It's really cold out here," she said.
"Yeah," I chuckled.
"Can we go inside?" She asked.
"Yeah," I said. We both got up and walked in the back door and saw Maeve and Owen in the kitchen.
"I'm fine please don't ask," Caroline said as she ran upstairs. I frowned as I looked at Owen and Maeve.
"Did she talk to you?" Maeve asked.
"Yeah," I said.
"She threw snow at me," Maeve said, "no fair."
"Thank you for being a good sister to her," I said and kissed her head.
