AMELIAS POV
I was now 12 weeks pregnant. I was starting to show more and more now. We decided that today we should tell our families. We were having Megan, Evelyn, Derek, and Meredith over for lunch today. I was really hesitant to tell the rest of my family, so we're FaceTiming them tonight. I'm really worried they'll be mean or rude like they always are. Part of me doesn't even want to tell them because of how nasty Nancy and Kathleen can be sometimes, and my mom totally just piggy backs whatever they say.
"Are you sure you don't want to FaceTime your family at lunch?" Owen asked as he walked into the bathroom. I finished brushing my teeth and spit the toothpaste out.
"I'm sure," I nodded.
"Are you afraid to tell them?" He asked gently. My side of the family besides Meredith and Derek was always such a sensitive subject and he knew that. He was always so gentle and never prying about them.
"Um, yeah actually," I said, "you have the good side of the family it's not fair." He chuckled as he kissed my head.
"You have Derek and Meredith who love and adore you. They're supportive no matter what," he said, "we both have a good side of the family."
"I guess you're right," I smiled.
"And who cares what they think? It's our child and our family, and they live nowhere near here," Owen said, "you have me, my mom, Mer, Megan, and Derek, you have a whole family here who supports you, it doesn't matter what Nancy and Kathleen say."
"I know," I said softly.
"Let's get ready okay?" He said and placed a few kisses on my lips. I smiled as he pulled me into a hug and ran his hand over my stomach, which was getting more noticeable by the day.
"You can kinda tell I'm pregnant," I laughed as I looked in the mirror, "in a few weeks I won't get away with these baggy shirts."
"And who cares? You're carrying our beautiful child," Owen said, "it's adorable."
"My clothes don't fit though," I sighed.
"What doesn't fit?" He asked.
"Some of my jeans," I frowned, "and a few of my bras."
"Then we can just go shopping this weekend," he said, "buy anything you feel comfortable in."
"I love you, you know that right?" I smiled as I kissed him.
"I love you too, and I hope you know that," he said as he kissed my cheek. We walked into the closet and we both got changed and I looked in the mirror.
"You look beautiful Amelia," he said, "stop looking at yourself like that."
"Like what?" I said.
"Like you don't like what you see," he said sadly.
"Owen I'm fine," I reassured him, "my body's just changing and I just need to adjust it. I'm happy. I'm healthy. And I'm carrying our baby that we can tell our family about in a few minutes okay?"
"Okay," he said as he wrapped his arms around me.

We were all sitting at lunch and I was so excited to tell everyone. I had a recent photo of the baby under the table.
"So before we start Amelia and I have something we want to share with you guys," Owen said. I looked at Owen and smiled.
"I'm pregnant!" I said as I held the picture up.
"Oh my goodness!" Evelyn smiled, "this is so awesome! Congratulations you guys."
"I was starting to think you were never going to have kids FINALLY!" Megan said, "Finally I can be an aunt."
"Congratulations you guys," Derek smiled.
"Congrats! Even though I knew and none of you did," Meredith laughed.
"You knew?" Owen chuckled as he looked at me.
"It might have come up in conversation or something," I laughed, everyone at this point knew Meredith was pregnant too.
"Aunt Amy you having baby like mommy?" Zola asked cutely.
"I am having a baby," I smiled. Her face lit up and I smiled as I hugged her.
"Is it baby boy? Or baby girl?" She asked.
"We don't know yet honey, but soon we will," I said.
"You tell me?" She asked.
"Of course we'll tell you when we find out," I smiled and kissed her cheek. I put her back down and everyone smiled.
"This is so exciting!" Evelyn smiled, "my first grandchild." I smiled big at Owen as he put his arm around me. I was glad there was a good side of the family.
OWENS POV
Everything went really well this afternoon. Everyone was super happy which was really great. It was now almost time for Amelia's FaceTime with her family and I could tell she was freaking out. Deep down I knew all she wanted was her mother and sister's validation and they never gave it to her. At least Liz would be happy and supportive. She's the nicest and kindest of Amelia's sisters. Amelia was pacing back and forth in the bedroom nervously.
"Hey it's okay," I said as I stood in front of her and put my hands on her shoulders. She looked up at me and then looked away.
"I don't feel good can we just do it another time?" She said.
"Amelia honey," I said softly, "you want to tell them don't you?"
"What if they're mean?" She asked.
"I won't let them be mean okay?" I said. She nodded and hugged me tighter.
"I love you," I said.
"I love you too," she said. We walked downstairs and Amelia opened her laptop. She entered the call and I put my arm around her.
"Amelia!" Liz smiled.
"Hi," Amelia waved.
"Hey guys," her mom said.
"Hey," Amelia said back. Nancy and Kathleen joined and Amelia grabbed the envelope of pictures.
"Okay so Owen and I wanted to talk to you all tonight because there's something important we want to tell you!" Amelia said. We looked at each other and she grabbed an ultrasound picture.
"We're expecting!" We said.
"OH MY GOD!" Liz said, "no fucking way. Finally!"
"Yeah," Amelia smiled.
"Congrats Amy," Nancy said, and I knew Nancy using that nickname rubbed Amelia the wrong way.
"Congrats," Kathleen said.
"Yes congratulations," Her mom said, "when are you due?"
"Um I think in about 6 months, sometime in the spring," Amelia said.
"You don't even have a due date you're so irresponsible," Nancy said, "everyone knows that's important."
"Have you even gotten an ultrasound recently," Kathleen chimed in.
"We went last week, Amelia's around 12 weeks," I said, knowing Amelia wouldn't want to talk.
"I think Amelia is perfectly responsible and capable of taking care of her pregnancy so shut up," Liz said.
"Elizabeth nobody asked you," Nancy said and rolled her eyes.
"Mom you're quiet," Amelia managed to get out.
"Yeah I'm happy," Carolyn said, "you're having my grandchild."
"Yeah," Amelia said. It was awkward for a moment and I knew Amelia wanted to leave.
"Okay well guys with the time change I'm sure Owen and Amelia have work in the morning so we shouldn't keep them up late," Liz said, "good night everyone."
"Good night," Amelia and I said and everyone disconnected. Amelia slammed her computer shut and started walking upstairs.
"Amelia," I started.
"Don't talk to me," she mumbled.
