Timeline: Amelia is 9 months pregnant. Caroline is 3 years old.

OWENS POV
"Owen," Amelia whispered.
"Yeah?" I said groggily.
"Wake up," Amelia said.
"Why?" I chuckled and rolled over.
"I don't feel good," she said.
"Why what's wrong?" I asked as I sat up.
"I just, I feel really sick and my stomach is super sore," she said.
"Is there anything I can do?" I asked as I kissed her.
"Can you get me some water?" She asked.
"Yes of course," I said.
"Thank you," she said. I walked downstairs and grabbed two water bottles. When I walked back upstairs I peeked in Caroline's room. She was passed out cuddled into her stuffed animals. I smiled as I closed the door. I walked into our bedroom and Amelia was leaning over the bed with her hand on her back.
"What's wrong?" I asked, "back hurts?"
"I'm having Braxton Hicks," she said.
"Sit back on the bed I'll rub your back," I said.
"Thanks," she said and drank some water. I massaged her lower back and every once in a while she winced from a kick.
"How're you doing?" I asked.
"I want to go back to bed," she complained.
"I know," I said and placed a few kisses on her neck, "I know you do honey."
AMELIAS POV
All three of us were up and watching cartoons on the couch. We were watching paw patrol, which was Caroline's favorite cartoon. She was sitting on Owen's lap and I smiled. I was still having some Braxton Hicks. They were really starting to hurt.
"I'll be right back," I said to Owen.
"Okay, you need anything," he asked.
"No I'm good," I said.
"Mommy where you going?" He asked.
"Just to the bathroom munchkin," I said and walked down the hallway, except I didn't make it to the bathroom before my water broke.
"Uh Owen?" I said nervously.
"Yes?" He said.
"My water broke," I said. Owen got up and walked over to me. I smiled at him.
"Looks like we're having a baby today," I chuckled.
"Looks like it," he chuckled and kissed me, "I'll go get Caroline ready, grab our bag, and call my mom okay?"
"I can call, just worry about Caroline okay?" I said as I put my hand to my back.
"Okay," he nodded, "I'll be right back."
"Mommy what broke?" Caroline asked.
"My water," I said, "it's what happens when mommy's are about to have babies."
"Little baby coming today?" She smiled.
"Yup," I smiled.
"Yay," Caroline smiled. Owen picked her up and got her dressed and grabbed the overnight bag. Owen ran back down the stairs and smiled at me.
"You ready?" He asked.
"Yes," I said. We walked to the car and Owen started driving. I felt another contraction coming on and Owen reached his hand out to me.
"You doing okay?" He asked.
"It really hurts," I said.
"I know," he said and kissed my hand. We got to the hospital and Meredith met us.
"Caroline you're going to go with Aunt Mer okay?" Owen said as he lifted her out of her car seat.
"What about the baby?" Caroline asked.
"You'll get to see the baby super soon I promise. Why don't you come with me and see your cousins?" Meredith said.
"Thank you," Owen mouthed as they walked off. Maggie came out and wheeled a wheelchair over to us.
"Thank you Mags you're the best," I said as Owen helped me sit down.
"Megan already booked you a room," Maggie explained.
"You guys are the best," I said.
"How far are your contractions?" Owen asked.
"15 minutes apart," I said.
"Okay," Maggie said.
-
I was now about 4 centimeters dilated. I was in so much pain. This was so painful without an epidural, and it was all I could think about.
"How's your back?" Evelyn asked. She was sitting in a chair while Megan went to go get ice chips. Owen kissed my hand as I rubbed my stomach.
"It's okay," I said.
"I can rub it for you," Owen offered.
"It's fine," I said.
"You sure?" Owen asked as he kissed my cheek.
"I'm sure," I said, "thank you." I felt another contraction coming on and I squeezed Owens hand.
"It really hurts," I said as I could feel tears swelling in my eyes.
"I know," Owen said softly, "I know it does."
"Amelia soon you'll have your baby girl soon," Evelyn said.
"I know," I said. The door opened and I expected it to be Megan but it was Derek and Meredith.
"Hey," I said.
"Don't be mad," Derek said.
"What did you do?" I groaned.
"Mom's here," Derek said.
"WHAT?" I said and looked up at him.
"She's in the lobby, we can lie and say you're in surgery," Meredith said.
"She doesn't know I'm pregnant," I said.
"What?" Evelyn said.
"Amy," Derek said.
"This is not the time to talk about my mommy issues while a baby is trying to tunnel it's way out of my vagina," I complained.
"We can go talk to her," Meredith said.
"Thank you," I said as I squeezed Owen's hand as another contraction started coming.
DEREKS POV
"I'll talk to my mother," I said to Meredith.
"Yeah you can explain all of this," Meredith laughed, "please."
"Mhm," I said as I walked downstairs.
"Derek!" My mom smiled, "how are you?"
"We need to talk about something," I said.
"What is it?" My mom said confused.
"You know Amelia would come down here with me, but she's uh, she's in labor," I said.
"What? Labor? She's pregnant?" My mom said.
"Yeah her and Owen are having a little girl," I said.
"She didn't tell me that," My mom said.
"Probably because you treat her like shit," I said.
"Who's side are you on?" My mom said.
"I'm not picking a side I'm just stating the obvious," I said.
"Do you think she would want to see me?" My mom asked.
"Wait until after she has the baby," I said.
"Okay," my mom said.
"What are you doing here anyway?" I asked.
"Just wanted to stop by," she said, "and now I want to see my granddaughters."
"And Amelia and Owen," I said.
"Yes," my mom said.
"That's why she hates you," I said.
"What?" My mom said.
"You don't actually care about her you care more about the other people in her family and alienate her," I said, "so does Nancy and Kathleen."
"I don't mean to," My mom said.
"Well you do," I said, "it hurts her feelings."
AMELIAS POV
"Owen I can't do this anymore," I complained.
"Ice chip?" Megan asked.
"Yeah sure thank you," I said and grabbed the cup from her.
"No problem," she said.
"How're you doing?" Owen asked.
"Oh besides the fact that my mother is here and a baby is coming out of my vagina? I'm doing phenomenal Owen," I said.
"I love you," Owen said.
"I love you too," I said, "oh god."
"Breathe," Megan said, "it's okay."
"Yes just breathe honey," Owen said.
-
"On the count of three you're going to push okay Amelia?" Arizona said.
"No," I said, "No I'm not I can't."
"Amelia I know you're in pain but you're almost there," Owen said.
"Can I have a C section?" I asked.
"Amelia, waiting will put the baby in more stress, you just need to push," Arizona said,
"You can do it."
"Owen I want a C section please," I said and squeezed his hand.
"Amelia your body has been through enough. Let's count to three okay?" Arizona said.
"Amelia," Owen said and kissed my cheek, "count to three with me okay?"
"Okay," I said weakly.
"1, 2, 3!" Owen said. I started pushing and it hurt so badly.
"Oh my god," I groaned.
"That was a good push," Arizona said, "almost there."
"Few more pushes honey," Owen said. I pushed until I couldn't push anymore, but it was worth it because I heard a cry.
"Oh my gosh," I said, "Owen."
"Dad let's come cut the cord," Arizona smiled. Owen cut the cord and I smiled.
"Here's your little girl," Arizona said as she placed her on my chest after the nurse cleaned her up.
"Hi little one," I said crying, "mommy and daddy love you so much."
"We love you so so so much," Owen smiled and kissed her head, and then kissed mine.
"I love you Amelia," Owen said, "and I love you too Maeve."
"I love you too Owen," I smiled, "and you too Maeve, I love you." Arizona went to go tell our families. The door opened and Evelyn was holding Caroline.
"Mommy!" Caroline smiled, "the baby."
"Yup," I smiled, "this is your little sister, Maeve Charlotte Hunt."
"Hi Maeve," Caroline smiled. I looked up and saw my mom.
"Hi mom," I said, "meet your granddaughter Maeve."
