AMELIAS POV
Caroline was going home today. She needed to be home and smile again. Owen was home with the kids and I was taking Caroline home today.
"You ready?" I asked as I walked into her room.
"Yeah," she nodded.
"You have everything?" I asked.
"Yeah I'm fine," she said.
"Okay," I said, "why don't we grab lunch for everyone on the way home. You can chose."
"I don't care where we go," she shrugged.
"Oh come on just pick something," I chuckled as I signed her discharge papers.
"Panera?" She shrugged.
"Sounds good," I said, "come on let's go." We walked down to the lobby and out to the parking lot. We got in my car and I looked over at her.
"So your father and I are going to your school tomorrow," I said, "unless you changed your mind."
"No it's okay," she said.
"Okay," I said, "Are you going to school tomorrow?"
"Can I go after you figure it all out?" She asked shyly.
"Sure," I said, "that works too. What do you want from panera?"
"Mac and Cheese," she said.
"Do you wanna drive?" I asked.
"I'm okay," she shrugged.
"Okay," I said as we got in the car and picked up lunch for everyone.
"Is Maeve mad at me?" She asked.
"No," I said, "I don't think so."
"She didn't answer any of my texts this morning," she said.
"Honey if we're being honest she's probably still asleep," I laughed.
"That's true," she said, "how's everyone else?"
"They're all good," I said.
"Can we try to go back to normal? Before I made a mess out of everything?" She said. She sounded like me after I got sober.
"We can," I smiled, "everything will be fine." We walked inside and Maeve ran down the stairs and practically tackled Caroline with a hug. I smiled.
"You're okay," Maeve smiled.
"I am," Caroline said.
"Is Caroline home?" Logan asked as he walked out of the kitchen and ran to hug his sister as Lucas did the same. I smiled at Owen as I kissed his cheek.
"She's okay," I said.
"She's okay," Owen said, "what did you get for lunch?"
"Panera," I said.
"Yum," he said. Everyone went into the kitchen and the six of us at lunch together.
"So what does everyone wanna do today?" Owen asked.
"Can we use the pool?" Lucas asked.
"It's so cold out," Maeve said.
"Yeah might not be the best idea," Owen chuckled.
"We should have a family game night," Lucas said.
"I like that," I said. Finn started barking at the back door and Owen got up and let him run around outside for a few minutes. After the boys finished eating they went outside to go play with Finn and the girls went upstairs.
"I think we should talk about tomorrow," I said.
"Yeah," Owen said, "We're meeting with her guidance counselor, principal, and superintendent?"
"Okay they didn't have to bring in the big guns I was just going to talk to the counselor," I laughed and Owen chuckled.
"Someone afraid of authority figures?" He joked.
"Shut up," I said, "anyway."
"Can't you like file a bullying report or something," Owen shrugged.
"I guess so," I shrugged, "I just want her to be happy."
"So do I," Owen said, "she will be, she'll be fine." He kissed my head and wrapped his arms around me.
"This family is tough, we've been through a lot. We can do it," He said.
