AMELIAS POV
"Mommy," I heard as someone climbed on top of me.
"Hm?" I said as I opened my eyes and Lucas climbed on top of me and Logan was crawling next to Owen.
"What's up?" Owen asked.
"It's snowing out look at it," Logan said.
"Can we go outside?" Lucas asked. I sat up and looked at the time.
"Don't you want to eat breakfast first?" Owen chuckled. It was 7:30.
"Okay," Logan and Lucas agreed. I got up and opened the curtains and saw the snow coming down. It was really pretty, but it was also so early.
"Boys I'll meet you downstairs to make breakfast okay?" Owen said. They left and I looked back at Owen.
"Go back to bed," he said and pulled me back down.
"You sure?" I asked.
"Yes," he said, "I'll make them breakfast."
"Thanks," I said.
"I love you," he said.
"I love you too," I said. I closed my eyes as Owen pulled the blanket back over me.
OWENS POV
I walked downstairs and made breakfast for the boys while they watched the snow fall from the window. They were adorable.
"Daddy do we have to leave?" Logan frowned.
"Unfortunately we do, but you get to see Finn at home," I said.
"I missed Finn," Lucas said.
"Me too," I said, "But Aunt Megan and Uncle Nathan took really good care of him with Farouk."
"Yeah," they agreed. I heard footsteps and I turned around and saw Caroline. Her hair was in a messy bun and she rubbed her eye. I felt awful about the whole Brandon situation. I know how much she loved him. It was young love. He was her first boyfriend.
"Good morning," I said.
"Morning dad," she smiled.
"There's that smile," I said.
"I'm fine really I was just having a moment last night," she said and started making coffee. Her and Amelia were identical. Amelia always does the same thing.
"It's okay to have moments," I said, "you were hurt."
"Dad it's fine now really I promise. I don't want to talk about it," she said.
"Okay," I said, "are you exciting for skiing?"
"Yeah," she said, "it's fun." I smiled as she finished making her coffee, and I hope she was going to be okay after this.
-
All four of the kids were up and ready to go to the ski slope. I walked upstairs and opened the bedroom door and Amelia was peacefully asleep.
"Amelia," I said softly as I laid down next to her. I rubbed her back and she rolled over and looked at me.
"Hey," she said groggily.
"The kids are very anxious to go," I laughed.
"Mhm," she said, "I'll get up." I kissed her forehead.
"How'd you sleep?" I asked.
"Good," she said as I rubbed her back and ran my fingers through her hair.
"How's Caroline?" She asked.
"She doesn't want to talk about it," I said, "she seems okay."
"That's good," she said.
"Yeah," I nodded. Amelia got up and got ready and I went downstairs and made her some coffee.
AMELIAS POV
The kids were adorable. They enjoyed this vacation so much and it was so refreshing to have all this family time. I hope Carolines doing okay. She seems really happy here. She seems like she's doing okay.
"Let's go you're skiing," Owen chuckled as he grabbed my waist and kissed me.
"Okay," I chuckled and kissed his cheek.
"Come with me," he said and grabbed my hand and we walked over to the ski lift. I put my head on his shoulder as he put his arm around me.
"I love you," he said.
"I love you too," I said.
"This trip was a lot of fun," he said.
"It was," I smiled, "Minus Carolines breakup."
"Yeah," Owen frowned, "she doesn't need him."
"Yeah," I said, "I just know she's crushed."
"She doesn't deserve someone like that anyway, she'll find someone eventually," Owen said.
"Yeah, that's what I told her," I said. We got off of the ski lift and went over to the slope.
"Mommy!" Lucas smiled as he got off the ski lift a few after us.
"Wanna watch me go down?" He beamed.
"Sure," Owen and I both said. He went down and Owen nudged me.
"He's better than you," he said.
"Oh shut up," I laughed and hit his arm. We both went down the slope a few times as did the kids. Eventually we got hot chocolate and ate dinner together. This trip was well worth it.
