Timeline: Amelia is 5 months pregnant

OWENS POV
Today we were finding out the gender. I was so excited. We had an appointment this morning before we both had to go into work. Finding out the gender also meant that we could decorate the nursery. We had a few things that didn't matter the gender, like a crib, baby changing station, and some furniture, but once we know if it's a boy or girl we can paint the room and fully decorate it, which I know Amelia is so excited to do. Which also means I have to actually put the confusing crib together, which I've been procrastinating because it comes in a million pieces, but Amelia doesn't seem to mind.
"Good morning," I heard. I looked up from my computer and smiled at my wife.
"Good morning," I said as she came over to me and hugged me.
"We get to find out the gender today! I'm so excited Owen," she giggled.
"I'm so excited too," I said.
"I think it's a girl," she said and sat down.
"Me too," I said.
"Really?" She said.
"Yes," I chuckled.
"A baby Owen would be so cute though," she said cutely.
"He would be," I said.
"We could name him Owen Jr." Amelia said.
"We are not naming our son after me," I laughed.
"Why not it's cute," she said.
"And you would name our daughter Amelia after you?" I said.
"Um no don't be ridiculous you only do that for boys," she laughed.
"Take Owen Jr. off the list," I chuckled.
"Fine," she said and got up and opened a draw and took out a piece of paper.
"You have an actual list?" I laughed.
"Um no definitely not," she laughed as she crossed something out.
"I want to see," I said as I got up.
"No!" She said, "that's cheating!"
"Amelia it's not cheating it's our child's name," I said.
"I don't care it's cheating come up with your own names and then we can talk," she said.
"You are so childish sometimes," I laughed.
"You're just jealous I probably picked out better names than you," She said.
"Well it looks like I don't need to pick any because you have an entire books worth of baby names," I laughed as I kissed her cheek, "I love you."
"I love you too," she said.
AMELIAS POV
We walked down the hallway with Arizona and she opened the door.
"You guys must be so excited! Gender day!" Arizona smiled as she rolled the cart over.
"We are," I beamed as I laid down.
"Alright mom and dad we have any guesses?" Arizona asked before she started.
"We both think it's a girl," Owen said.
"Alright well let's see if you guys are right," Arizona said as she started the ultrasound. Our baby lit up the screen and I smiled.
"Owen," I smiled as he kissed my cheek.
"Congratulations," Arizona smiled, "you have excellent intuition because you're having a baby girl!"
"Oh my gosh really?" I smiled as I started crying. I looked up at Owen and he smiled.
"I love you," he said as he kissed my forehead.
"I love you too," I said.
"Stop you guys are adorable," Arizona said, "I will print pictures and then we can schedule for another 4 weeks?"
"Sounds good," I smiled.
"Perfect," Arizona said. We were having a baby girl. Oh my gosh I was so excited.

a few hours later
OWENS POV
I haven't seen Amelia since our ultrasound. I've texted her a few times and she's having a really busy day. I was walking down the hallway to the cafeteria and I saw Amelia come out of a supply closet. She looked like she had been crying and my heart broke.
"Amelia?" I said. She stopped walking and turned around. I walked over to her and wrapped her in a hug.
"Hey what's wrong?" I asked.
"I'm so tired," she said, "and my back is just killing me."
"I'm sorry," I frowned, "are you almost done with your shift?"
"No Tom has surgery in 20 minutes," she sniffled, "I'm sorry I'm such a mess right now, I just want to sleep."
"I know," I said softly and kissed her, "I promise when you get home we can take a nice warm bath and then sleep okay? Does that sound good?"
"That sounds amazing thank you," she said.
"Of course," I said. Her pager went off and I wiped her tears away with my thumbs.
"Hey, go kill it okay? You are brilliant and an amazing surgeon. I love you," I said.
"I love you too," she smiled.
-
"Megan," I said as I walked into the intern's lounge.
"Yeah?" She said as she looked up from her phone.
"Are you busy?" I asked.
"Do I get to do something cool?" She asked.
"Um no," I laughed, "I need help with baby stuff."
"Like what kind of baby stuff?" She asked.
"Putting a crib together," I chuckled.
"And you think I'm much help?" She said.
"Megan please," I said, "Amelia's having a bad day and I want to put it together before she gets home."
"You're a good husband. I'll help you," she said and got up, "I have to be back by 6:30 at the absolute latest."
"I promise you'll be back," I said. I drove over to my house and unlocked the door.
"It can't be that hard to put together," she said as we walked upstairs.
"The instruction manual is 56 pages long," I said.
"Who needs instructions?" She said as she looked at the box.
"My child is sleeping on it I would like to know it isn't falling apart," I chuckled.
"Will you tell me if it's a boy or girl?" She said, "please?"
"Not right now," I chuckled.
"Why not? I'm putting together your son or daughters crib aren't I?" She said.
"Because I don't know how or when Amelia wants to tell people," I said.
"Fine," she complained. We laid out all the pieces and she sat down.
"Okay so page 1 of 56," she laughed.
-
After three hours we put the crib together.
"I carried this project I want credit when Amelia's happy," Megan chuckled.
"You did not you yelled at me the whole time," I chuckled.
"While I would love to argue this topic with you, I'm scrubbing in on a surgery and I would really not like to be late," Megan said as we walked downstairs.
"Yes we're going back to the hospital. And thank you I really appreciate your help," I said and hugged her.
"You're welcome," she said and hugged me back.
AMELIAS POV
I was leaving work with Owen. Today was a whirlwind of emotions. We were having a baby girl. We got that amazing news this morning and I'm so happy, but I'm the other hand today was absolutely exhausting and I'm so tired. These hormones never give up, especially when I'm tired, but I got through the day. Owen unlocked the front door and we walked inside.
"I have a surprise," Owen said.
"Okay," I said confused because I had no idea what he was talking about.
"Come on," he said and took my hand as we walked upstairs.
"Go into the nursery," he said. I walked down the hallway and opened the door. I looked inside and the crib was put together.
"Oh my gosh," she smiled, "Owen, you did this?"
"Megan helped but yes," he smiled as he wrapped his arms around me.
"Our baby girl is going to have the best father in the world," I smiled and kissed him.
"Our baby girl is one lucky kid, because she also has the best mother," he said.
