OWENS POV
Amelia was now about 7 weeks pregnant. We scheduled an ultrasound for this week and I'm so excited. In addition, Meredith and Derek are moving into their house today. We were both going over there to help them unpack some stuff today. I was currently on my computer doing a few reports on cases I worked on this week, and Amelia was asleep next to me. She was adorable, and I can't contain how excited I am that we're having a baby, and we finally get to see that baby this week. It's all so exciting. We're starting a family! This is something I've wanted to do with her forever, it's something I've always dreamed of. We're in such a good place right now I could not be happier. I looked at the clock and it was almost 9:30, and we promised Meredith and Derek that we would be over at 11. I started tracing circles on Amelias back as she slowly started waking up.
"Good morning beautiful," I said.
"Mm good morning," she said. She opened her eyes and I smiled at my gorgeous wife.
"Hi," I said softly.
"Hi," she said.
"You excited to see Meredith and Derek today?" I asked.
"Yeah," she smiled as she rolled onto her back. She lifted her top over her super small bump and I smiled.
"It's so tiny," she giggled.
"It is," I said and leaned down and kissed her stomach, "good morning baby." Amelia smiled as she kissed my cheek.
"We have our first ultrasound this week," she said.
"We do," I said, "I'm so excited, are you?"
"Yes," she said, "we finally get to see baby hunt."
"Baby hunt, I like that," I said and kissed her forehead.
"Me too," she said and sat up. We both got up and got dressed for the day. I walked downstairs and unfortunately with Amelia's pregnancy she really shouldn't be drinking a lot of coffee, so I've been giving it up lately, but it's so miserable.
"Owen I want coffee," Amelia complained, "just half a cup please?"
"Fine I'll split it with you," I said.
"Thank you," Amelia said.
"Any other cravings?" I chuckled.
"Do we have pickles?" She asked as she opened the fridge.
"For breakfast?" I said.
"Well yeah and Nutella," she said.
"Your so gross," I said.
"Your child is the one that wants it," she said and grabbed the jar of Nutella and pickles.
"I absolutely cannot watch you eat that," I laughed.
"You don't want some?" She said.
"I love you honey, I really do, but I gotta draw the line at this one," I chuckled.
"You're not the pregnant one," she protested.
"Amelia can I make you eggs please?" I laughed.
"Let me eat my food in peace, I am growing out baby. I'm entitled to my gross food cravings," she said.
"Fine," I chuckled.
AMELIAS POV
We parked in Meredith and Derek's driveway and I was so excited. It was so nice having Evelyn and Megan close by, and now it was even better having them close by as well. It was all so exciting. Owen and I walked up to the door and I rang the doorbell. Derek opened the door and Zola was running around the living room.
"Hey guys, thanks for coming by," Derek smiled, "Mer's in the kitchen."
"Auntie Amy! Uncle Owen!" Zola giggled. She ran over to us and I picked her up.
"Hi sweet pea," I smiled.
"Hi," she giggled.
"How are you doing?" I asked.
"Good! How you and Owen?" She asked sweetly.
"Owen and I are good," I said, "why don't we go find your mommy okay?" I smiled as she clung to me. We walked into the kitchen and Meredith smiled. She was unboxing silverware, table settings, pots, pans, plates, etc.
"Mommy!" Zola giggled.
"You want to go to mommy?" I chuckled.
"Me didn't say hi to Uncle Owen," she pouted.
"Okay okay," I laughed, "how about I put you down and you go say hi to him okay?"
"Okay," she nodded and I put her down. Mer and I watched her as she ran out of the kitchen.
"When are you going to pop out some nieces and nephews for me?" Meredith laughed, "I've been waiting forever for you and Owen to have kids."
"Maybe soon," I shrugged.
"No way," Meredith said, "are you pregnant?" I couldn't lie to her.
"We aren't telling people," I said softly, "Don't say anything Owen wants to tell his mom so badly and I told him we had to wait."
"Well we're doing the same thing," Meredith smiled. My mouth dropped.
"No way," I said.
"Two babies in the family," she smiled and hugged me, "Congratulations."
"Congrats to you guys too," I smiled.
"How far along are you?" She asked.
"I'm going for my first ultrasound on Wednesday, I'm thinking around 6-7 weeks. You?" I said.
"I'm approaching 10 weeks," she smiled.
"This is so exciting," I said.
OWENS POV
I was unpacking boxes with Derek upstairs.
"I'm assuming you guys like it here?" Derek chuckled.
"Yeah it's been really great, and Amelia loves it, after a lot of convincing," I chuckled.
"That's good to hear, and still not exactly sure how you got my sister to move across the country," he laughed.
"Yeah it was not an easy task," I laughed. He laughed as we finished some of the boxes and then we walked downstairs and Amelia and Meredith were in the kitchen with Zola.
"Hey Amy," Derek said.
"Yeah?" Amelia said.
"You know me moving here means mom wants to visit," Derek said.
"Derek," Amelia complained as she came over and wrapped her arms around my waist. I put my arm around her and kissed her head.
"I thought you guys were on good terms," Derek chuckled.
"We are but like," Amelia frowned.
"It'll be fine," I said and kissed her head again.
"Okay," she said in a small voice and cuddled into me. Carolyn didn't want Amelia moving, that's why it took me so long to convince Amelia to move, but now that Derek's here, it seems okay and I know that bothers the hell out of Amelia. I just hoped everything would be okay between them.
