OWENS POV
Today we were going to Logan's basketball game, and Caroline is bringing Brandon with us to see the game. I like Brandon, I don't love the idea of either one of my daughter's dating but, I like Brandon. He's very polite and he's very nice to Caroline.
"Owen," Amelia said as she rolled over in bed. I walked out of the bathroom and threw my shirt on for the day.
"Yes honey?" I said.
"What time is it?" She mumbled.
"10:30," I said.
"Okay," she said and got up. I walked over to her and kissed her.
"Good morning," I said.
"Good morning," she said.
"I love you," I said.
"I love you too," she said.
"Today is Logan's first basketball game," I said.
"I know," she said, "and you're not allowed to freak out that Brandon is coming with us."
"Who said I'm freaking out?" I chuckled.
"They've been dating for 6 months Owen," she chuckled, "I thought you liked him."
"I do," I said.
"Mhm," she chuckled and walked into the bathroom.
"I do!" I laughed.
"You just don't like the idea of Caroline dating," she laughed.
"Maybe," I said as I followed her and walked up behind her. I I grabbed her hips and she smirked.
"I haven't showered yet," she said softly.
"Really?" I said in her ear as I started kissing her neck, "me either."
"Hm," she said as I moved my hands under her shirt. She turned around and kissed me passionately. We both got undressed and I picked her up and walked into the shower as I turned the water on.
AMELIAS POV
"Logan do you have your basketball bag packed?" I asked as Owen was finishing making breakfast.
"Yes," he said.
"Good job bud," I said as I kissed his head.
"Logan are any of your siblings up?" Owen chuckled, and as if on cue Lucas came running into the kitchen.
"Buddy we talked about running in the house," I laughed as he sat down and started eating breakfast. Owen made Maeve and Caroline a plate of breakfast and left it on the counter.
"Where are your sisters?" Owen chuckled as we both sat down with the boys.
"I think they're arguing," Lucas shrugged, "one of them sounded mad." I sipped my cup of coffee and looked at Owen.
"I'll go up in a minute," I chuckled.
"Okay," he said, "Logan are you excited for your basketball game?"
"Yes," Logan said, "I've been practicing all week with Lucas! I'm excited."
"That's awesome buddy," I smiled and kissed his cheek and walked upstairs. I started walking down the hallway and could hear them talking.
"Caroline shut up!" Maeve said.
"Maeve just tell them they won't care!" Caroline said.
"It's not that easy!" Maeve said, "you wouldn't get it."
"Maybe I don't but if you can tell me why can't you tell them?" Caroline said.
"Because you're my sister!" Maeve said. I have no idea what they were talking about. I knocked on the door and the conversation died. The door opened and Caroline walked downstairs.
"You guys okay?" I asked.
"We're fine," Maeve said and ran after her. Definitely need to figure this one out.
-
We all got to Logan's game and he was warming up with his team before the game started.
"Hey Brandon's here I'll be back at half time," Caroline said.
"Okay," I said as Owen and I watched her get up and walked over and sit down next to Brandon.
"Daddy look Logan just made a basket!" Lucas smiled as he pointed to his older brother.
"I know look at him," Owen said. I turned and looked at Maeve.
"Are you and Caroline okay?" I asked.
"We're fine," she said, "we weren't fighting."
"Sounded like it," I said and sat back.
"We weren't like fighting fighting," she said.
"So you were just fighting," I said.
"Yeah," she chuckled.
"Wanna walk? Game doesn't start for 15 minutes," I said.
"Where are we going to go?" She said.
"Hallway," I said and got up. We walked outside the gym and she crossed her arms.
"What's up?" I asked as we started walking.
"Carolines mad at me for this, thing," she said, "that I did. She's not made that I did it, she's mad that I won't tell anyone."
"So this thing," I said, "Is it bad?"
"I kissed someone," she blurted out.
"Okay," I said, "that's not bad."
"No it's not," she said.
"Why is Caroline mad? Is he a jerk or something?" I said.
"They aren't mean," she said, and that's when I got it. When she said they. I stopped walking and she looked at me nervously.
"Are they a she?" I asked.
"Yeah," she said as her voice broke. I smiled and wrapped her in a hug.
"I love you," I said, "I love you so much Maeve, and I don't care if you kiss a boy or girl."
"Really?" She said.
"Really," I nodded, "what was Caroline mad about?"
"She was just mad that I didn't want to tell you and dad because I was scared," she said.
"You don't have to be scared," I said, "we love you no matter who you love, I speak for your father and I."
"Thanks mom," she said as we continued walking.
"And you know," I said, "there was a point in my life where I liked girls too."
"Really?" She said and looked at me.
"Is that such a surprise?" I chuckled.
"Well kinda," she said, "you're so in love with dad."
"Well I can't marry a girl and a boy, and I love your father, so, I married a guy. If I hadn't met your dad, maybe I would have married a girl. I don't know. Doesn't matter because I love your dad, and all that matters is that you'll find someone you love too," I said.
"You give good advice," she said.
"I try," I chuckled, "now let's get back to the game."
"Yeah," she said. We walked back into the gym and sat down next to Owen and Lucas.
"Mommy you're back," Lucas said.
"Yup," I said, "has the game started."
"Just about to," Owen said as he put his arm around me. He leaned in and whispered in my ear.
"Everything good?" He asked.
"Yeah we'll talk later," I said.
"Okay," he said and kissed my cheek. The game started and we relaxed as we watched Logan play the sport he loved.
