Timeline: Amelia is 8 months pregnant. Caroline is 3 years old.

AMELIAS POV
I was on maternity leave, and let me tell you, it was a lot more fun with Caroline. Last time I was just home alone and it was so painfully boring by myself.
"Mommy will you color with me?" Caroline asked as she climbed on the chair and grabbed a box of crayons.
"Caroline baby don't stand on the chair," I said.
"I'm sorry mommy," she said. I grabbed two pieces of paper and we sat down at the table.
"Mommy what color crayons do you want?" She asked sweetly.
"Whatever colors you want to give me," I said.
"Pink, Purple, Green, Black, and Yellow," she smiled and rolled me the crayons. A very interesting color combination.
"Thank you," I said.
"Is the baby going to be here soon?" Caroline said, "I want to meet her."
"In a month she should be here," I said.
"Which month?" She asked.
"What?" I chuckled.
"The names. Remember when you and daddy told me that they have names," She said.
"Oh," I chuckled, "February."
"Okay," she said and started drawing flowers. Caroline and I drew and colored for a little while.
"Mommy can we put the pictures on the fridge?" She asked.
"Sure," I said, "why don't you hang up mine too?"
"I'll put it right next to mine," she smiled, "and then daddy can see it."
"Yup, daddy will love to see our pictures," I smiled.
"When is he coming home?" She asked.
"A few hours," I said.
"Oh okay," she nodded.
"Yeah," I smiled as she walked over to the fridge.
"Mommy I can't reach the magnet," Caroline said. I got up and grabbed two magnets.
"Here you go honey," I said.
"Thank you," she said.
"Mhm," I said, "are you hungry."
"Yes," she said, "is baby hungry too?"
"Yes the baby is very hungry," I laughed as I opened the pantry, "what do you want for lunch?"
"Cheese," she said.
"Caroline you can't have just cheese for lunch," I said.
"But mommy I want the little squares," she pouted.
"You can have cheese cubes but you have to have something else," I said, "you need protein."
"What's that?" She asked.
"Protein?" I asked.
"Yeah," she said.
"It's what keeps you full," I said.
"Like what?" She asked.
"Peanut butter," I said as I made her peanut butter crackers. I ran my hand over my stomach as I opened the fridge and grabbed some of her cheese cubes.
"Here you go," I said and handed her the plate.
"Thank you mommy," she said.
"You're welcome," I said. I felt the baby kick and I rubbed my stomach again.
"Is the baby kicking?" Caroline asked.
"She is," I smiled, "wanna feel?" She nodded and I walked over to her.
"Where?" She asked. I took her hand and put it on her stomach. Little Maeve kicked and Caroline's face lit up.
"She's strong," Caroline said.
"Yup, you're strong too. You kicked too," I said.
"Really?" Caroline asked.
"Yup," I said.
"I was inside of you?" Caroline asked.
"You were once upon a time," I said.
"I don't remember that," Caroline said. I chuckled as I kissed the top of her head.
OWENS POV
Today was such a long day at work. Amelia was now on maternity leave. Her and Caroline were having fun at home together though. I picked up pizza for dinner and I was driving home. I pulled into the garage and unlocked the front door. The house was surprisingly quiet. I put the pizza in the kitchen and I walked upstairs. I opened the bedroom door and they were both asleep in bed. I smiled at my girls. I love them more than anything in the world. I took my jacket off and put it in the closet and went to walk downstairs.
"Owen," Amelia said softly.
"Hey," I said as I came over to the bed, "did I wake you? I'm so sorry."
"No you didn't," Amelia said as she rubbed Caroline's back.
"How was work?" Amelia asked.
"It was good, long, but good," I said.
"That's good," Amelia said, "Caroline look who's home."
"Hm?" Caroline said as she rolled over into Amelia.
"Hi baby girl," I said softly.
"Hi," Caroline smiled.
"Hi," I smiled.
"Daddy mommy and I made pictures today," Caroline said. Amelia ran her fingers through Caroline's hair and I smiled.
"What did you draw?" I asked.
"Flowers," Caroline smiled, "can I show you downstairs?"
"You sure can, and pizza is downstairs," I said.
"Yummy," Caroline giggled as she came over to me. I helped Amelia up and picked Caroline up. We walked downstairs and she wiggled out of my arms.
"Look!" She giggled and pointed to the fridge.
"Very good princess," I said. I helped Caroline wash her hands and then we sat down to eat pizza.
"How was the baby today?" I asked.
"Mommy let me feel the baby kick!" Caroline said.
"Did she?" I smiled at Amelia.
"Baby has been good. She's exhausting me but she's good," Amelia smiled. I leaned in and kissed her softly.
"Hi," Amelia said softly.
"Hi," I said as I stroked her cheek.
"Ew!" Caroline said as she covered her eyes.
"Caroline," Amelia chuckled.
"Gross!" Caroline pouted.
-
"How was today?" I asked as I laid down next to Amelia in bed.
"Our little ball of sunshine had a lot of energy as usual," Amelia chuckled, "but it was really good."
"That's really good," I smiled and kissed her softly, "I love you."
"I love you too," she said.
"But we do need to talk about your drawing skills. Caroline definitely has you beat," I said.
"Shut up," She laughed and nudged me.
"And how is little Maeve?" I asked as I placed a few kisses on Amelia's stomach.
"She's doing well," Amelia said, "she was kicking up a storm today."
"Was she?" I asked.
"Yeah," she smiled, "can't wait until she's here."
"Me too," I smiled.
