AMELIAS POV
The stomach bug was going around like wildfire. Lucas was home sick with Evelyn with it and I was so scared Caroline, Logan, or Maeve would get it. Or Owen or I. I was scrubbing out of the OR and I felt like I was burning up. Oh no. I cannot be sick. I walked out of the OR and I saw Owen.
"You okay?" He asked as he put his hand on my waist.
"Am I burning up?" I asked as he put his hand on my forehead.
"Yeah," He said, "does your stomach hurt." I was going to answer no but then I felt my breakfast coming back up. I ran past Owen and threw up in the bathroom garbage can. The door opened and I looked over and it was Owen.
"You're in the woman's bathroom," I joked as I washed my hands.
"I called my mom and told her you're headed home," he said and hugged me.
"What?" I said, "Owen I'm fine."
"Amelia you have the stomach bug and so does half the hospital. Go home it's okay," he said and kissed my forehead.
"Okay," I frowned, "I'll see you at home?"
"Yeah, I'll bring home dinner on the way home," he said.
"Thanks," I said. I felt so exhausted all of a sudden. I just wanted to curl up in my bed and fall asleep. I told Bailey I had to go home and I drove home. I got home and walked up the driveway and opened the door. Evelyn and Lucas were on the couch and I smiled.
"Hey," I said.
"Hi dear," Evelyn smiled, "How're you feeling?"
"I'm okay," I said, "thank you for watching him, I don't want to get you sick you can go home, thank you so much."
"You're welcome," she said, "Can I make you something before I go? Soup?"
"That would be amazing thank you," I said. She got up and walked into the kitchen.
"Mommy you're sick too?" Lucas said.
"Yeah bud," I said and sat down next to him. I went to put my arm around him and instantly felt nauseous. I got up and ran to the bathroom and started throwing up whatever was left in my stomach. It was going to be a long night.
OWENS POV
I pushed the key into the door and walked into the living room. Lucas was asleep on the couch under a blanket. I walked into the kitchen and Caroline and Maeve were making dinner.
"Need any help?" I asked.
"Bring this to mom," Maeve said and handed me a soap bowl, "and can you tell Logan dinner is almost ready." Finn was laying in his little doggie bed eating out of his food bowl.
"Sure," I said, "mom upstairs."
"She can't stop throwing up," Caroline frowned, "ask her if she needs anything?"
"Will do," I said, "what are you guys making?"
"Spaghetti," Caroline said, "Maeve check the garlic bread in the oven before we burn it."
"Thank you guys for cooking," I said.
"It's no problem," they said. I walked upstairs and opened Logan's door.
"Hey buddy it's almost dinner time," I said.
"You're home!" Logan smiled and paused his video game and took off his headsets and hugged me.
"How was school today?" I asked.
"It was good," he said, "I got my math test back today I got a 92."
"That's awesome bud," I said.
"Is that for mommy?" He asked as he looked at the bowl of soup.
"Yeah," I nodded. I walked down the hallway to our room and our bathroom door was closed. I knocked on the door and I could hear Amelia throwing up.
"Honey?" I said.
"It's unlocked," Amelia said weakly. I opened the door and put the bowl of soup on the vanity.
"Hey," I said as Amelia looked over at me. She looked so pale and weak. Her head was hanging over the toilet and I frowned.
"Hey," she said. I sat down next to her and she leaned into me.
"You doing okay?" I asked and rubbed her back.
"It hurts so badly," she said weakly.
"What does?" I asked.
"Throwing up," she said, "I haven't eaten all day."
"I brought soup," I said.
"Thanks," she said, "Are the kids okay? I should start dinner."
"Caroline and Maeve are making dinner," I said.
"I smell so bad," she said, "I hate being sick."
"Wanna shower?" I offered.
"I'm so tired Owen," she said. I helped her up and started the shower.
"I have it so much worse than Lucas. He's peacefully asleep," she complained.
"I know," I said. We both got undressed and we got in the shower.
"How was work?" She asked.
"Good," I said and started washing her hair.
"That's good," she said.
"Yeah," I said.
"I'm going to throw up," she said.
"Please don't," I said. I turned the shower off and she grabbed a towel and ran to the toilet.
"I'll call in for you tomorrow," I said.
"I'll be fine by the morning," she said.
"Amelia," I said.
"Dad!" Maeve said as she came upstairs.
"Yeah?" I said.
"Lucas threw up," Maeve said from the other side of the bathroom door.
"I'll be down in a minute," I said.
"Go I'm fine," She said softly.
"I'll bring you some pajamas," I said. I walked to the closet and grabbed flannel pants and a sweatshirt and left them on the bathroom floor for her. I walked downstairs and Lucas was sitting on the couch.
"I didn't mean to throw up on the floor," he said sadly.
"Daddy can I play with Finn outside?" Logan asked.
"Yeah sure be inside in time for dinner," I said and cleaned up the rug. The girls finished dinner and the five of us sat down while Amelia rested upstairs.
"Logan did you get Finn his dog food?" I asked.
"Yeah I used the cup scooper and put it in the silver bowl see," he said and we all looked at Finn eating out of his bowl.
"I see that," I chuckled.

I picked Lucas up and walked upstairs.
"Daddy?" He said.
"Mhm?" I said.
"Did I get mommy sick?" He said, "I'm sorry." I put him on his bed and tucked him in.
"There's a lot of sick people at the hospital too," I said, "it's not your fault."
"She's not sick like you were right?" He said.
"No, no she's not. She's sick like you. Just a little stomach bug," I said.
"Okay," he said.
"Mommy will get better in a few days just like you will," I said.
"Okay," he said.
"I love you buddy goodnight," I said and kissed his head.
"Good night daddy I love you too," he said. I walked down to my bedroom. I opened the door and walked into the bathroom. Amelia was passed out on the floor. I carefully picked her up and walked over to our bed. I tucked her in bed and kissed her forehead.
"I love you," I whispered, but she was still fast asleep.
