AMELIAS POV
"Mom, Dad," Logan said, "we have a great idea." We were sitting at the dinner table and I looked at Owen.
"I'm listening," Owen chuckled.
"We should get a puppy for Christmas," Lucas said.
"Please?" Maeve said, "it would be so cute."
"It will pee everywhere," I complained.
"It's not a horrible idea," Owen said. I kicked him under the table and he chuckled.
"Really?" Logan said.
"We will talk about it," I chuckled.
"I want a dog," Owen said.
"Shut up," I said and hit his arm.
"Please?" Caroline said.
"I said we'll talk about it," I chuckled.
"A dog would be so cute," Maeve said.
"I hear you," I laughed, "okay?"
"Okay," Logan said. We finished eating dinner and the kids went upstairs to finish their homework.
"So," Owen said as he started washing the dishes.
"I don't know," I said, "and you cannot just make me the bad guy at dinner like that!"
"I'm not making you the bad guy," Owen said.
"You're making me feel like I'm the only one saying no!" I said.
"You are the only one saying no," Owen chuckled.
"Owen!" I said frustrated.
"Why don't you want one?" He asked.
"Having a dog is like having a fifth kid," I complained.
"Ah," he said, "and you don't want a fifth kid either," he chuckled.
"The dog will pee everywhere," I said, "and bark while we're sleeping, and eat our socks and rugs and jump on the bed and rip up our pillows on the couch."
"Until they're trained," he said.
"Owen," I complained, "it's going to pee everywhere."
"So did the kids," he chuckled.
"Do you really want a dog?" I asked.
"A dog would be fun," he said and kissed me.
"Ugh," I said.
"Come on," he said, "A dog would be so cute. And we have a big backyard for the dog to play in. The kids would all get along taking care of him or her together."
"It would have to be a small dog," I said, "I don't want one of those giant dogs."
"Okay," He said, "so is that a yes?"
"It's a consideration," I chuckled.
"But leaning towards yes?" He laughed.
"Don't tell the kids that," I said.
"I won't," he said. We finished cleaning up dinner and the I decided to do some laundry. I folded two loads of laundry and walked the piles down to the kids' room. I walked into my bedroom and saw Owen laying in bed in his phone.
"Hi," I smiled as I climbed into bed with him.
"Hi honey," he smiled and kissed me, "look at this dog."
"Okay," I chuckled.
"Please?" He begged.
"I said I'll think about it," I said. I snuggled into him and he put his phone down. He wrapped his arms around me and I giggled as he climbed on top of me.
"Owen," I giggled as he started kissing me.
"You're so pretty Amelia," he said as he admired me. I smiled as he kissed me again.
"I love you," I said.
"I love you too," he smiled. We started making out and I heard the door open.
"Uh um," I said as Owen got off me and we looked in the doorway.
"Mommy it's raining out," Lucas pouted.
"Do you want to sleep in here?" I asked. He nodded as he climbed in the bed and snuggled into me.
"Did you talk about the puppy?" He asked.
"Is that why you're really in here?" Owen joked.
"Maybe," Lucas chuckled.
"It's a strong maybe," I said and kissed his head.

OWENS POV
I opened my eyes and Lucas was asleep on Amelia. I smiled as I got up and got the kids ready for school. Caroline and Maeve were already up so I had to get Logan up. I opened the door and walked over to his bed.
"Logan bud it's time for school," I said.
"Did you and mommy talk about the dog?" He asked.
"Yes we did," I said as I sat down.
"What did she say?" He asked.
"It's a strong maybe," I said.
"Really?" He said.
"Yeah," I said. He got up to get ready and I made waffles downstairs for the kids.
"What does everyone have at school today?" I asked the kids.
"I'm doing a chemistry lab," Caroline said.
"That's cool," I said.
"Not really," Caroline said, "I hate chemistry."
"It sounds like fun," Maeve said.
"Im bad at it," Caroline chuckled.
"I have to read my presentation on a book I read today," Logan said.
"What book did you read?" I asked.
"To Kill a Mockingbird." he said, "everyone had to read it."
"I love that book," Caroline said.
"I hate reading," Maeve said, "I have a math test today."
"Good luck," I said. Amelia came in the kitchen and I smiled.
"Good morning sleepy," I said as she came over to me and I kissed her cheek.
"Good morning," she said, "good morning everyone."
"Morning mom," the girls said.
"Good morning mommy," Logan said.
"So," Maeve said, "the dog?"
"Maeve I haven't even drank a full cup of coffee please," Amelia chuckled.
"Strong maybe," I said.
"What he said," Amelia said.
"Okay," the girls said.
MAEVES POV
I was sitting in science class and I couldn't stop looking at this girl. I was paying attention, but she was just so pretty. Her name was Julia. I finished taking notes and the bell rang.
"Maeve," I heard. I turned to see Julia.
"Julia. Hi," I said.
"We're you staring at me in class?" She chuckled.
"No what are you talking about," I laughed it off as we walked to my locker.
"Maeve I would only know if you were staring at me because I was staring at you," Julia admitted.
"You, you were?" I said.
"I like you Maeve," Julia said.
"I like you too," I said.
"Do you want to go out sometime?" Julia asked.
"Yeah," I nodded.
"Okay cool," Julia smiled, "I'll see you later Maeve."
"I'll see you later Julia," I said. I smiled as I closed my locker. I was going on a date.
