Timeline: Caroline is 6 months old

OWENS POV
Tonight we were going to a charity ball for the hospital's fundraiser. We were leaving Caroline alone with my mom for the first time. I trust my mom, and I know Amelia does too, it's just she's super overprotective of her. I get it, but she also needs to loosen up, and this is a good step for her.
"Amelia we need to start getting ready," I said as I walked into the kitchen. I looked over and she was writing something down.
"Whatcha writing?" I asked.
"I'm making a list," she said.
"A list of what?" I asked and looked over her shoulder.
"Everything your mom needs to know about Caroline," Amelia said as she scooped a small scoop of baby food into Caroline's mouth.
"Amelia, come on you need to loosen up a little bit," I said.
"Owen!" She complained, "I completely trust your mom. I mean she raised you and megan, I know she knows how to watch a baby, and I adore her you know that. But every baby is different so I just need to give her everything she needs to know."
"Okay," I said, "do you need help?"
"I think I'm good, I have everything from sleep schedule to favorite stuffed animal to favorite foods. I think I'm good," she said.
"Perfect," I said and kissed her cheek, "my mom is going to be here soon so we need to get ready. You know we can't be late."
"I know," she said. I picked up Caroline as we walked upstairs. I put her in her playpen in the nursery and turned on her baby monitor. I walked into the bathroom and Amelia was looking in the mirror.
"Hey," I said softly.
"Hey," she said.
"You okay?" I asked.
"I um," she said, "yeah it's just that I look different."
"What are you talking about?" I asked.
"Owen," she sighed as she looked in the mirror, "I gave birth 6 months ago and I still haven't lost all the weight. My thighs are huge and so are my boobs."
"Amelia you're perfect just the way you are," I said and kissed her forehead, "you don't have to lose weight. You are perfect. No matter what baby weight you have, you are my perfect Amelia who I love and will always love. I love you for you. You are the same person. You are the same girl I fell in love with many many years ago."
"Thanks," she said cutely.
"I kinda need a shower before we get ready," I said and kissed her passionately, "you in?"
"Yes," she smirked. I took her shirt off and picked her up as we got in the shower. The water started running and I started making out with her. I grabbed her hips as I pulled her close to me.

Amelia and I stepped out of the shower and she smiled.
"You're perfect just the way you are," I said, "I love you."
"I love you too," she smiled. We both got dressed and I went to go check on Caroline. I opened the door and she was fussing with her toys.
"Hey little one," I smiled and picked her up. I walked into the hallway and down to our bedroom where Amelia was finished with her makeup. She was so gorgeous. Her red dress complimented her figure perfectly, and her makeup looks amazing.
"Caroline look how pretty mommy is," I said, "she's very pretty isn't she."
"Owen stop," She chuckled.
"You are, if she could talk Caroline would agree with me," I said.
"Thank you," Amelia blushed and kissed my cheek. The door bell rang and Amelia and I walked downstairs.
AMELIAS POV
I was kinda freaking out, for a number of reasons. First, I felt weird about leaving Caroline. We haven't really left her with anyone besides the hospital's daycare. Owen says I'm being over protective, but I worry. She's our little girl. I opened the door for Evelyn and she smiled.
"Amelia! You're so pretty," she hugged me, "Oh and Owen you look so handsome too. And there's my granddaughter!" Evelyn lifted Caroline out of Owen's arms and I smiled.
"Okay so, I know it looks like a lot but I did make a list," I chuckled.
"Amelia's a little overprotective," Owen laughed.
"Oh come on, it's a mom thing Owen," Evelyn said as we walked into the kitchen. Evelyn and I started going over the list and Owen ran upstairs to go grab his phone and jacket.
"He does not get it," I laughed, "someone has to be the over protective one."
"Someone does," Evelyn said, "you're doing a good job dear. You're a good mother."
"Thanks," I said.
"Lists are totally normal," Evelyn said, "I used to do the same thing, it's easier for the babysitter."
"Figured," I smiled.
"But do not stress, go enjoy your night out with your friends, little Caroline and I will be perfectly fine here," she said.
"Thank you, I owe you," I said.
"You do not owe me, I'm spending time with my granddaughter," she said.
"Thank you, I love you," I said.
"I love you too dear," she smiled.
