Evangeline POV:

"I'm hungry."

"We've got another hour to go, Evangeline, can't you wait?"

"No, I'm hungry now. Why can't we stop?"

"Have a blood-bag."

"I don't want a blood-bag."

"Then you need to wait, we're meeting Katerina in Willoughby in fifty minutes. We'll be late if I don't go twenty miles over the speed limit the whole way there."

"Let's just stop and you can go thirty over."

"We aren't stopping."

I huffed a breath and slouched back in my seat, arms crossed over my chest in a childish action. There was no way I was having another blood-bag, I needed something 98.6. "Well go thirty over anyways, I want to get there faster."

"There's no child lock, get out and run the rest of the way."

I looked over at him and narrowed my eyes. "Don't tell me how to live my life, you don't know me."

"Sadly, I do know you and you're dead."

"Shut up and keep your eyes on the road."

"My eyes haven't yet left the road."

I rolled my eyes at him and pressed the power button for the radio, a part of his car I doubt Elijah had ever used. My theory was proved wrong when a stream of classical music came flowing out of the speakers. "Can I see your phone, please?" I questioned, holding my hand out for the electronic.

"What for?" Elijah asked, looking at me skeptically.

I raised an eyebrow at him. "To find the stations in this area, I want Top 40 Radio not Hits of the 10th Century."

"This is actually Clair De Lune, it's from your generation not mine."

"Stop being smart with me and give me your phone, I want Flo Rida and Taylor Swift. Not this."

Elijah reached into the chest pocket of his jacket and pulled out his phone, placing the device carefully in my hand. "We're going to need to purchase you a new phone in Willoughby."

"It's not my fault it broke."

"You threw it out your bedroom window, Evangeline."

"You weren't there, don't tell me what I did."

"I was in the room when you started going on about some primitive bird game which led to you throwing the cell phone from your window which resulted in it hitting a passing car and shattering to pieces."

"Right, not one of my high points."

"Do you have any high points?"

I contemplated hitting his arm, but as he was driving the car at 70 miles an hour and hitting him would result in pain, I decided against it. "I did, before the invention of the cell phone and Elena Gilbert. If I could get my hands on a time machine I could go back in time to make sure John and Isobel never made the demon."

"I believe the word you are searching for is doppelgänger."

"Nope, demon sounds about right."

-

"This is Willoughby." I grumbled as I looked around at the town that reminded me far too much of Mystic Falls. It was a small town with shops and small restaurants lining the streets, I resisted the urge to find the nearest cliff and dive off it as I climbed from the car. "Why on earth would Katherine choose to stay here, it's so... disgustingly happy."

Elijah chuckled under his breath as he closed my door. "There she is." He pointed to the brunette in the gazebo and I studied her carefully. When I caught a glimpse of sun reflecting off her red highlights I pressed my lips together.

"There's no way that's Katherine, she'd never dye her hair. Especially not red."

"Who do you suppose it is, then?"

"Well if it looks like a Katherine, walks like a Katherine, and talks like a Katherine it's probably an Elena Gilbert."

"Why would Elena Gilbert be in Willoughby, Pennsylvania? Especially without your brothers."

"I don't know, just look at her wrist. Katherine got a new day bracelet before she left to find the cure, it's got like an oval lapis lazuli stone on it. I'm going to go look around and see if I can find any familiar faces."

"You think they're all here?" Elijah questioned, turning his head to look at me.

I nodded. "Maybe not all of them, but there's got to be someone else who could help Elena Gilbert get information from Katherine."

"What if this is Katerina?"

"It's not, I'm sure of it." There was no possible amount of torture that would make Katherine Pierce dye her hair red, she loved her brown hair. "Give me your phone again, I'll call Katherine."

Elijah removed the device from ship pocket once more and handed it to me, I dialed Katherine's number and waited as it rang. I had almost given up on her answering when the phone stopped ringing and a voice came on.

Katherine: What is it I can do for you today?

Evangeline: Hey Kat, where are you?

Katherine: Sorry, I'm just a bit held up at the moment. I stopped by a diner for some lunch.

Evangeline: A diner? Well that's nice, I'll see you soon.

I hung up the phone and handed it back to Elijah. "Told you, there's no way that girl is Katherine. Now I'll go locate Katherine while you meet with her demon twin."

"You think I'm going to abandon you in a town you've never been to before after finding out someone kidnapped Katherine?"

"It's most likely my brothers, Elijah, they won't hurt me." They had to be here somewhere if Elena was here, no matter who else was there I would be safe with them. "I'll be safe, I know your number so I'll call you on a pay phone one something if I get into trouble."

Elijah gave me a look and I raised an eyebrow. "Fine, go ahead, but you need to call me the second you even think you're in danger."

"I promise I will." With that I turned and walked off, I'd seen a diner not far from where we were now that I was going to check out first. It was the only diner I'd seen in this town so it was my best option.

I passed many people on the streets, they all have me the small town smile I'd come to know from the people back in Mystic Falls. But when I caught sight of the blue car outside the diner, I began walking faster even though I wanted to turn and run the other way. My brothers were here which meant Katherine was in there, I needed to get her from them even if it meant they knew where I was.

A bell chimed as I walked in and my eyes landed on a table with four familiar faces. "That's why you need your little friend, isn't it?" My heart clenched at Stefan's voice, it had been so long since I'd seen him. "Something's never change Katherine."

"Actually," all heads turned to look at me as I approached their table, "this one was all me."
