4 Months Later
Third Person POV:
Evangeline had never felt so amazing in all her years, for the first time in a very long time she was absolutely free. There was no pain, no sadness, no anger, just pure and unadulterated bliss. In the wake of her older brothers tragic death, she found herself in an never-ending cycle of sadness and regret. She hated it. Elijah had returned to New Orleans to aid Klaus as Hayleys due date had neared. She hadn't really heard from him since then. A couple weeks after Damons death, Henry arrived in town and by his suggestion she had left Virginia in the hopes of finding her peace elsewhere.
The first month or so after leaving was a blur, all Evangeline could really remember from then was the partying and blood. Lots, and lots of blood. In the end she was so numb to any form of feeling that she forgot about her sadness all together. The next two and a half months became easy after that. Just never ending booze and blood. It was good while it lasted, but then she got a phone call from Rebekah.
The phone call had actually managed to rain on her parade and ruin all the fun she been having. Evangeline wasn't pleased but her displeasure was overshadowed by her concern for the Mikaelsons. From what Rebekah had said, things weren't going so well for one Mikaelson in particular. So as Henry sucked the last ounce of blood from the room service woman, Evangeline began to pack her things.
"You're hardly mentally stable enough to be of help to anyone, Angie." Henry remarked as he watched Evangeline pack up her things. Evangeline simply glared at him, resulting in Henry backing off the topic of her mental state. "Fine then, I'm going with you."
Evangeline shook her head. "You can't, Elijah hates you. Seeing you will only make it worse."
"Hate is such a strong word, I think it's more of a disliking as opposed to a hatred." Henry joked with a quiet chuckle. Evangeline merely rolled her eyes. "Fine fine, go rescue your boyfriend. I'll pray for you."
Evangeline narrowed her eyes into slits. "He isn't going to hurt me, Henry. I'm probably one of the only people who can be 100% sure of that."
"You say that now, but I believe Rebekah's exact words were 'he has gone absolutely mad'. Obviously he isn't in his right state of mind, so who is to say that he won't hurt you? Crazy people do crazy things."
"When I come back safe and sound, I'm going to say I told you so."
"And when he tries to take a bite out of your neck, I will tell you the same thing."

Evangeline POV:
I arrived at the address Rebekah had given me sometime during the early hours of the morning. There was still a light on and through the window I could see Elijah sitting in a chair, reading a book. I smiled fondly before making my way to the front door and knocking.
Almost immediately the door had swung open and I was hoisted into the air with a firm grip on my neck. Elijah's attack was brief as soon he dropped me back down, his eyes wide with shock. "Evangeline, what are you doing here? You're supposed to be with your brother."
"Yeah, Stefan disappeared shortly after Damon died." I admitted as Elijah invited me inside, both of us walking back to where he had been sitting before I had knocked. "I haven't seen him since, but he says he's looking for a way to bring Damon back. These past few months I've been in New York with a friend."
Elijah gave me a pointed look. "Please tell me you haven't been with that parasite Henry."
"He isn't a parasite, Elijah, he's one of my oldest friends." I defended, not completely understanding why Elijah hated him so much. "I've known him longer than you. Every bad thing he has done during our friendship has been instigated by me."
