**Song to the side is: A Thousand Years by Christina Perri**
Evangeline POV:
My eyes were red and swollen, my cheeks blotchy, and my hair was an absolute mess. I wasn't sure how long I had spent crying last night before I eventually fell asleep, it must have been quite some time if I looked like this in the morning. It was a good thing I didn't have to go anywhere today, cause I doubt I could manage to make myself look even half presentable.
I quickly ran a comb through my hair and dabbed some concealer underneath my eyes in order to make them look a little better, less like I had spent my entire night crying. "Evangeline?" A voice called out followed shortly by a knock on the bathroom door. "Are you in here?"
"Give me a moment," I replied, putting my hairbrush and concealer away before opening the door. "What can I do for you, Klaus?"
Instead of waiting for his response I walked over to my closet, looking for something to put on. I was still in Elijah's shirt from last night and I couldn't even bear to look at myself. "I came to apologize, I know you probably think otherwise, but I didn't mean for you to hear our conversation last night." He answered, leaning against the wall beside the bathroom door.
"I don't blame you for anything, Klaus." I replied, grabbing a t-shirt and some sweatpants before shutting the closet door in order to get changed. "Is that all you wanted to talk about?"
"I also came to let you know that Elijah has moved out, so you don't have to stay locked up in your room anymore."
For a moment I was kind of mad, how could Elijah leave like this? Without working things out with me first? I couldn't be mad about that though, I knew he was moving today and I hadn't answered the door last night when he tried to talk to me. "Okay."
"Is there anything I can get you?" Klaus asked as I emerged from the closet and tossed Elijah's shirt into my hamper.
I shook my head. "I'll go downstairs and get myself a blood-bag, you don't have to get me anything." However, as soon as I had said it Klaus disappeared, returning shortly with a blood-bag in his hand. He held the bag out to me and I took it from his hand, ripping the cap off before beginning to drink the contents.
"Rebekah is going out this afternoon to get some things, she was wondering if you wanted to go with her," Klaus said, plopping down in one of my chairs as I tossed the empty blood-bag into the trash.
I thought about it for a moment. I hadn't planned to go anywhere today considering I looked like a hot mess, but I supposed that it couldn't hurt to spend some time with Rebekah, maybe she could give me some advice. "You can tell her that I'd love to."
-
Later that day I was walking around the Treme neighborhood, I'd lost Rebekah a few moments ago, but I was enjoying the alone time. There were shops everywhere and I was enjoying being outside of the compound. Rebekah had given me a list of things she was looking for, and despite the fact I had no idea what any of them were I did my best to locate them, making sure to ask around for places that sold them.
"Thank you so much." I thanked the witch as he handed me the bag containing the herbs I'd purchased. I was about to continue on my search when something popped into my head. "Do you know anyone who sells vervain?"
The witch nodded and pointed down the row. "At the end of this row on the left, the woman there should have what you're looking for."
"Thank you." I thanked him again before making my way down the row.
When I got to the end I turned to the stall on my left, smiling at the woman who was stood behind the table. "What is it I can get for you, my dear?" She asked with a smile, which I returned.
