Evangeline POV:

Arriving at the spot Damon wanted to meet, Elena's college, I probably looked like hell. My eyes still red and swollen from the tears, there was a dark circle of mascara underneath my eyes and my hair was a knotted mess from the sleep I had managed to get in the car on the way here. Elijah was seated in the drivers seat as I tried to wipe away the mascara that was underneath my eyes. "Perhaps I should go speak with Damon," Elijah suggested and I shook my head quickly, which caused Elijah to sigh. "Evangeline you've been crying for hours, you need to take some time to calm down."

"I need to be with my brother, Elijah." I stated, leaving little room for any further arguments. "We just lost Stefan, I need to see Damon."

Elijah sighed again, but nodded in defeat as I closed the mirror I had been using. "We should get going and find the lecture hall he asked us to meet him in." Elijah opened the drivers side door and climbed out before making his way to open my door. As I stepped out of the car I took a deep breath, trying to gather my strength and not start crying again in the middle of this parking garage. "I'll be there every step of the way, Evangeline, I'm not leaving your side until you have your brother back."

Elijah and I made our way around the campus in search of the building Damon had specified for us to meet in. We found it a short while later and took the elevator to the third floor, finding the room located directly across the hallway. I could hear voices from inside the room, making out the familiar sound of Damon's voice almost immediately.

Unable to control myself, I took off running into the room. I didn't bother trying to identify the others in the room through my rapidly blurring vision because as soon as my eyes laid on Damon I was wrapping my arms around him. He returned the hug as I began crying once more. This cry spell didn't last very long, however, and I manage to bring it bak down to a sniffle after a minute or so. Just in time for everyone in the room to see Elijah standing in the doorway.

"You brought a Mikaelson?" I looked over at the person who had spoken and found Matt Donovan, no surprise there.

Elijah began to make his way down the stairs towards the front of the room as I pulled myself away from Damon. "Yes, I brought a Mikaelson." I replied matter of factly. "The way I see it, I'm the one who lost her brother so I am more than welcome to bring along anyone I so choose."

Matt didn't say anything after that and went back to looking at the map in front of them. "Alright, next order of business," Damon interrupted the silence and clapped his hands together, mass murder."

"Wait a minute," I waved my hand at Jeremy and Matt, "you trusted them to come up with the plans to sacrifice a ton of people? You do know our brother's life is on the line here, and you trusted them?"

Damon shook his head as Matt grabbed a roll of paper from behind Damon. "On the contrary, I trusted them to bring me the location of the gas mane we are going to use to blow up a bar full of people."

"How does this in any way help us to bring Stefan back from the Other Side?" Elijah spoke up for the first time and everyone looked at him in shock, probably not having expected any words from him. "Kill a large group of people and that's just more dead people, how does that amount to one living person?"

Damon smiled, folding his hands together in a devious way. "Well, my old friend, you see when all those supernatural people die they will have to go through Bonnie which means the gate to the Other Side will be wide open and using a little bit of magic Bonnie will be able to pull people from the Other Side back to the land of the living."
