Evangeline POV:
"Klaus!" I screamed watching the stake pierce through Rebekah's chest. She dropped with a thud to the ground as Klaus turned on me. I saw a hatred in his eyes that I've never seen before, not for anyone. "What have you done?"
Klaus shrugged carelessly. "Well isn't this just an intervention of all the people who betray me, Elijah, Rebekah, and now you. The only person we're missing is Marcel."
"What are you talking about, Klaus?"
"Elijah." He spat out the name like venom, I knew instantly what he was referring to. He didn't have to tell me. "I saw the two of you. He's attempted time and time again to take you from me, I never even thought that one day you'd actually let him take what is mine."
I scoffed, not fond of his tone or the way he insinuated that I was his belonging. "Why does it always have to be my fault? Why does the blame never fall on you?" I shouted back, unable to hold in my anger at him.
"Are you still on about Hayley?" Klaus raised his eyebrow, a lot more collected than I'd like for him to be. He needed to feel what I was feeling. He needed to feel my anger. "We have been over this."
I shook my head. "I forgave you for Hayley because we were estranged."
"Then tell me love," he said, not bothering to hide the fact he was condescending me, "what terrible deed have I done now?"
I narrowed my eyes at him, carefully studying the way he eyed me up. The spite I had seen when he first looked at me after stabbing Rebekah remained there even as he looked at me."I know about Caroline, Klaus. It doesn't take a genius when you two didn't even bother hiding it. You slept with her!"
"I did." He nodded his agreement and I couldn't help but laugh at the fact he didn't even show an ounce of regret. "You left, you disappeared in one of your toddler-like tantrums and I didn't see you again for a month. I didn't know where you scurried off to."
I looked upon him with sheer disbelief. "You knew I would be in Mystic Falls, you said so yourself. You knew I was there and yet you screwed Caroline Forbes in the middle of the woods on my family's property. You brought this on yourself, you cannot hate me or blame me for anything."
"So you admit you slept with my brother to spite me?" He hissed, ripping he white oak stake from Rebekah's unconscious body to point it at me. "Because I slept with Caroline Forbes? You will never have to see Caroline again, and before I slept with her I promised I would never see her again. Elijah sleeps under the same roof as us, he is my brother. You didn't just sleep with someone in my family's backyard, Evangeline, you slept with my family!"
"Do not accuse me of sleeping with your brother, Klaus. I would never do that to you. Never."
Klaus laughed at this, he actually laughed. "You already did. You're just more concerned with hating me for my faults than admitting your own. Even if you didn't sleep with him, you don't exactly try to hide the way you feel about him. A blind man could see it. So why concern yourself with a bastard like me? Let my brother see what you have to offer, I've already sampled the tray."
"What am I to you?" I questioned, catching him off guard as he took a step back. "For the longest time I thought I was your lover, you seem to view me differently. You seem to think I am a possession, something that can be summoned and sent off as you see fit."
